Metagame Mega Evolution in Sun & Moon

So I've been noticing people slapping Thunder Punch unto Zard Y... really? Ditching Roost, sure Zard Y can survive the lack of Roost but giving it a Hasty nature means that it will be very frail. Curious though why no one brings up Hidden Power Electric when it dishes approx. the same amount of...

    Pokémon Tapu Fini

So I've been thinking of adding Tapu Fini to both my Singles and Doubles team, and both include Mega Charizard Y as well -- and especially when it comes to Singles, my team would definitely benefit from a bulky Defogger --- HOWEVER, I am still not sure whether to go for Timid or Bold. Any thoughts?

    Resource DOU Effective Cores

It looks really cool, although Solar Power might be tricky when facing a Pokemon with Trace (i.e. Gardevoir) because then the opponent can benefit off the sun as well. Technically, while that IV set is necessary for Zard having a Ground-type Hidden Power, considering you can just put 'em into...

    Resource DOU Effective Cores

It's a classic core and I love it since Charizard and Venusaur complement each other quite a lot, but how will the core survive with the rise of Rain and other Weather cores in the format?

Doubles Teambuilding Shop V2 (DOU, DUU, DUbers building open)

I know this sounds rather "unprofessional" but I'd love to see what kind of team you could come up with that has both Mega Charizard Y, Bisharp and Scizor. I feel that despite the iffy defensive synergy they share (nonetheless min. two steel mons being accompanied by a Sun setter), it can make...

Solid Team, but could be Solid-er

Gallade: I'd personally go for Psycho Cut instead of Leaf Blade (STAB). Charizard: Flame Charge seems awfully weak and it should rather be replaced with either Roost or Focus Blast. Normally, I'd recommend Air Slash, but I guess Fire-type Pokemon will already suffer from a Drought-boosted Fire...

    Its too balanced halp

Personally, I am fond of Bulky Mixed Sweeper Aegislash with a large emphasis on the Physical moves. Aegislash @ Leftovers Ability: Stance Change EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SAtk Brave Nature IVs: 0 Spd - Shadow Sneak - Sacred Sword - Shadow Ball - King's Shield You may lack Swords Dance, but...

    Its too balanced halp

Erm, yes it does. Without Aegislash, it's got nothing to protect itself against any Pokemon that outspeeds it (which are basically almost all of them). Blade Forme Aegislash would barely survive a hit, even if it did neutral damage, considering a Base Stat of 50 of both defensive stats.

    Rate My Team

Personally, I'd would have Greninja this: Greninja @ Expert Belt Ability: Protean EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature - Hydro Pump - Dark Pulse - Ice Beam - Grass Knot / Extrasensory You could use Life Orb, but Greninja is very frail to begin with. Hasty would only make Greninja frailer...

The Return of the All-Star Warrior Team

Then I'll just go with Latias or Togekiss to replace Empoleon. I guess Togekiss would be more on the defensive side while Latias would be more on the offensive side while being supportive (defog) and bulky (higher defensive stats). When I think about it, the only Pokemon I really wish could...

The Return of the All-Star Warrior Team

Ideally, I'd like Lucario and Charizard to co-exist, and I have tried using Charizard as Mega Pokemon before - but it's Drought is too detrimental to the entire team (Aside of the Steel-types getting boosted fire in the face, it also weakens the water power of Greninja, having to rely on Grass...

The Return of the All-Star Warrior Team

Last time, a few months ago, my idea was to have this team: However, I realized that it lacked synergy and that's an understatement. 3 out of the 6 Pokemon (4 if Greninja becomes Grass-type due to Grass Knot) are weak towards Fire and MegaZard Y's Drought ability would only become detrimental...

    RMT: My All-Star Warrior Team

I know, I know, but it's still not necessary to use Droughtzard as a lead-in. It should actually be used as a last resort or when it's safe to call in the big guns. It would be totally suicidal to use Droughtzard as a lead when facing a Fire Pokemon team for example, and I'll keep that in mind...

    RMT: My All-Star Warrior Team

Well thank you, mate. The team is definitely flawed, and I'll just tweak it here and there in the long run, but it can be a destructive team when played right. Don't mind Greninja, I got Lucario and Scizor to pull off the job. Also, Aegislash could probably survive a Dark Pulse and strike it...

    RMT: What's a Charizard Y?

Of course, but Air Slash is a nice alternative when the opponent is resistant to Fire (immensely) and Air Slash would do the job better than Dragon Pulse because of STAB boost. Do keep in mind that if you're going to play your Droughtzard, it cannot defeat Heatran. But you've got Infernape with...

    RMT: What's a Charizard Y?

I prefer Surf to Scald. It may not give me a chance to burn the opponent, but its BP is slightly higher than Scald's. I see the usage in Taunt, but it's still a risky thing, considering Greninja is very fragile. I have started to avoid Choice items and Life Orbs personally because 7 out of 10...

OU competitive 6v6 (coming back to pokemon after leaving in Gen IV)

Rotom-W: It's sounds like a good choice, but you could also make it a mixed wall, spreading the EVs equally between the defenses while maintaining the 252 EV HP. Scizor: Personally, I'd give it Superpower instead of Brick Break, but I understand the drawbacks might make you inclined to prefer...

    RMT: What's a Charizard Y?

    1. Greninja is an awesome choice you have there, but I don't understand why you'd give it Spikes and Taunt. It's glass cannon (it's got even worse defenses compared to Charizard), a Hit-and-run Pokemon. I am totally behind your choice of U-turn and Ice Beam though. This is my personal set-up for...
