Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Revenge killing is the worst idea ever if you're using a stall team. Losing a pokemon means losing defensive coverage, opening doors for other pokemon to sweep. Trading pokemon is better suited for an offensive playstyle, so you're simply playing into your opponent's hands if you do so.
Wanting a balanced tier and wanting a tier with different pokemon are not mutually exclusive. Guessing at a player's motivation to play UU also doesn't help establish a good tier. Saying that people want to play with pokemon used in 4.9% of OU teams but not those in 5% of OU teams is simply bad...
Crobat isn't always going to get free roosts. Play predictably and you'll be punished. Roost every time Crobat is in on an offensive sweeper that it can kill and you're eventually going to get a Fire Blast or Psychic in your face. Roosting isn't always risk free, BBing a counter means you'll be...
You seem to responding to an argument about a Scarfed Gardevoir that doesn't use Trick. Either you have misread my post, are responding to a different post but mistakenly attributed the quote to me, or simply chose to ignore the fact that Trick was part of moveset. Once locked onto a single...
You have four offensive pokemon that can't sweep because of Crobat, and you use a defensive pokemon to counter it? That might be why you're so weak to it. All Regirock can do is force Crobat out. It will never kill a Crobat unless the opponent lets you do it and it probably will not be able to...
But on the other hand, Regirock can Rock Slide if Crobat Taunts and SR if Crobat decides to U-turn on turn 1. So yes, someone who has perfect prediction and a ground type would make the Regirock not work. Otherwise, the result of the lead battle is a complete toss-up
First of all, I don't think we're going to go down this slippery slope where everything ends up getting banned. Some things are gonna get banned for sure, but the UU tier has proven itself to be surprisingly stable and balanced, much more so than anyone would've predicted, which leads me to...
Here's my input on what needs to be tested:
Offensive Characteristic:
Staraptor
Its one of the premier threats in UU currently. When it comes in on something slower, you either predict right and force it out, you lose a pokemon, or it U-Turns out to something that will beat your wall of choice...
I voted OU because no single set or trait of Latias or combination of traits made it Uber by definition
In summary, my vote was largely based on the performance of the suspect from personal experience. A weakness to pursuit combined with a lack of power to deal with Pursuit users which can...
I'm not even sure the Lv. 1 Cleffa, Clefairy, Clefable combo should even be allowed under the species clause. They are in the same evolutionary line of pokemon and are functionally identical.
A team with CB Slaking running Pursuit and Encore should help the team beat any subber/ghost type...
I'm talking about other 120 base power moves with higher accuracy. We've always had to deal with moves along the lines of Fire Blast, Flare Blitz, and Close Combat. How the addition of another 120 base power move would be unbalancing is beyond me. Edit: This, of course, pertains to the...
