sheep that sweeps (Cobalion) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stealth Rock
- Volt Switch
- Stone Edge

Adds some speed above the crowded (Zarude, Mienshao, Thundurus) speed tier, gives us necessary Rocks and a helpful steel typing, and it has good synergy with the rest of the team in typing and Grassy Surge.

:bw/Umbreon: @ Leftovers
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 248 HP / 244 Def / 16 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic
- Foul Play
- Wish
- Protect

Umbreon provides wish support for the team and provides answers to pokemon like moltres, salamanece, nidoking, mamoswine. Since this team is heading to a balance approach I believe umbreon is a great fit as it appreciates the extra recovery from grassy terrain and the wearing down u-turn uses with double helmet on the team

:ss/azumarill:

Azumarill @ Assault Vest
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Atk / 24 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Knock Off
- Liquidation

AV Azumarill provides a better match-up against many special wallbreakers that the team struggles with such as Salamence and Moltres-G, The EV Spread allows Azumarill to live a Sludge Wave from Nidoking and remove it while the rest go into Atk, Azumarill is also a grounded Pokémon, meaning that it can have passive recovery from Grassy Terrain that allows it check them better.

252+ SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 24 SpD Assault Vest Azumarill: 338-400 (83.6 - 99%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

232+ Atk Huge Power Azumarill Liquidation vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Nidoking: 410-486 (135.3 - 160.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 252 HP / 112 Def / 144 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Sludge Bomb
- Knock Off
- Rapid Spin

As mentioned previously, this team is very weak on the specially defensive side, so Tentacruel's sky-high Special Defense works great for this squad. Rapid Spin is also great, as it doesn't get rid of Cobalion's Stealth Rocks or Bulu's Terrain.

Reuniclus @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 140 SpA / 112 SpD / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
- Future Sight
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Knock Off

AV Reuniclus helps to patch up the team's issues with special attackers (namely Azelf and Nidoking - the team has a measure against Nihilego with Cobalion now). It also adds Knock Off support which is always great. The given EVs allow Reuniclus to 2HKO Hatterene with Shadow Ball, while maximizing special bulk and speed creeping other base 30 Speed Pokemon in Amoonguss, opposing Reuniclus, Galarian Slowbro, and Slowking. It also synergizes nicely with Cobalion, which can switch into Knock Offs aimed at Reuniclus to boost its Attack.

Mamoswine @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Oblivious
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Knock Off
- High Horsepower
- Ice Shard

While the team as is has ways to pressure the thund volt-turn cores, mostly through coba, I dont like having no way to prevent volt in a team, and I think Mamo is a pretty valid choice as a volt immunity at that point. The set is standard and we can adjust it at some point if needed, I put boots cause we still got no removal. (I honestly think that AV might be the move right here)
Mamoswine brings a handful of offensive utility, being able to make a huge amount of progress through raw power, and is capable of forcing damage on stuff that would want to stay healthy for Hydreigon like Primarina or Celesteela. It also brings Ice Shard which I feel is valuable cause steel type coba often means DD Mence annihilates you on team preview. It's also a nice emergency measure against other setup sweepers like gmolt, gyara, np thund once chipped.

Honestly I really like all of these and I think they could all go in valid directions, so...
A=B=C=E
(I realize this has no impact on the final result :psynervous: )

C>B>E

it’s the 4th slot so I’m getting a bit concerned from lack of utility moves, rapid spin Tentacruel seems like a good start plus it has knock off

:ss/azelf:
Azelf @ Heavy-Duty Boots / Expert Belt
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Flamethrower

Azelf completes a pivoting core with Hydreigon and Cobalion, can use Flamethrower to deal with Steels (which this team kind of struggles with) and helps deal with Fighting types like Conkeldurr for Drei.

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Iron Head
- U-turn
- Psychic
- Trick

A pretty straight-forward teammate option that can synergize well with the team, Scarf Jirachi provides momentum with U-turn, speed control, and Trick Support to deal with stall better, Psychic is here to hit Fighting-Types and Poison-Types such as Conkeldurr and Nidoking

Zygarde-10% @ Choice Band
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Thousand Arrows
- Extreme Speed
- Outrage
- Toxic

Kinda echoing what kino (did his smog get hacked or smth?) said in his mamo post last round, but I think a ground immunity is pretty important right now, even though we already deal with thund decently via edge coba and our fat bulu. Since we can deal with it, it's ok for our ground to be pretty frail, and we are pretty slow, so I thought zydog might be a good fit with its high speed tier. Slapping a 115 base speed mon on a team and calling it speed control can be scary, but the alternatives are like scarf rachi, which imo doesn't fit super well here. Banded e-speed helps the speed problem a bit too.

With the addition of Tentacruel, our team has become quite weak to Dragon Dance Salamence, since the hazard removal slot is often a Salamence answer and the other members of the team are either slower + weak to Salamence's STABs (Hydreigon and Tapu Bulu) or cannot hurt it (Cobalion). We're also still lacking an answer to several specially-offensive threats. Primarina would solve the Salamence problem, but would be vulnerable to the aforementioned special attackers. As such, I am going to submit an unconvential set and Pokemon to help deal with both of these...

:bw/cresselia:
Cresselia (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 184 HP / 252 Def / 72 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moonlight
- Psychic
- Ice Beam

This Cresselia acts as a mixed wall for the team and late-game win condition with Calm Mind. It has physical bulk to not be 2HKO'd by +1 Dragon Dance Salamence's Outrage, with the rest dumped into SpDef. Conveniently, it also outspeeds Adamant Conkeldurr and Azumarill without any Speed investment. Psychic and Ice Beam have great coverage in the tier, and Ice Beam ensures a 2HKO on Dragon Dance Salamence. Moonlight affords Cresselia reliable recovery throughout the game. I think Cress would be a particularly good fit for our team since we deal with its checks in Dark-types and Ghost-types very well.
0 SpA Cresselia Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Salamence: 248-292 (74.9 - 88.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252 Atk Salamence Outrage vs. 184 HP / 252+ Def Cresselia: 192-226 (44.9 - 52.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Mandibuzz @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 164 SpD / 96 Spe
Careful Nature
- Foul Play
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Roost

Mandibuzz provides a special counter to salamence, moltres, chandelure, and can pressure most other special pokemon with knock off or pivot with u-turn to a teammate. It provides a much needed special wall to help bulu and cobalion threaten many physical pokemon. It also allows the team to pivot in 3 attacks hydreigon as it usually does not want to hard switch on most pokemon like moltres, rotom-w, and aegislash but as mandibuzz thretaens many pokemon with foul play or knock off it can pivot in hydreigon safely
