Toy Story 3 - or itt we feel guilty for not knowing where our toys are

Just watched it, and it was epic. I am not the movie watching type, my brother just dragged me there, and my mum forced me, I would of stayed home and surfed smogon, but I had to go. Anyway it was epic.

I hate that stupidd Teddy Bear Lotso!!!
All I can say it was pretty predictable, and my brother got annoyed after I told him that Ken was going to casino, and that the alien toys were going to save them from the incinerator. I really did predict that.It was pretty obvious that Lotso was a bad guy

I saw it last week and I'm seeing it in 3D on Saturday, just to compare the two. It was amazing though. I kind of went in with low expectations, but then I remembered that this is Pixar and this is Toystory and so there is no way it could be bad, and that is the truth.

I was with one of my insensitive friends so I almost shed a tear when they were holding hands, but I managed to hold it back and retain my man-card.

I hated Lotso in the movie, but then I thought about him and now I actually kind of like/pity the guy. He was betrayed by his best friend and replaced. I totally relate with him seeing as I moved away from all my childhood friends and now they all have best friends and I feel out of the loop when I talk to them, and it almost makes me bitter.

I'd also like to point out how Lotso contrasts with the gang. Lotso was abandoned and turned bitter, while the gang were forgotten by Andy, but managed to stay faithful. I think the most interesting part about this contrast is that as a result Lotso has a sad, meaningless life, while Woody/Buzz/the others always have something to live for, even if it is another child.

Fun fact: A little kid sitting next to me cried out "OH NO!" when the toys had given up hope and started holding hands. It made the moment even more emotional for me...

P.S. I went home after the movie and got all of my old stuffed animals and played around with them for a bit, the title of this thread is appropriate.

Lol, my brother after the movie got his toys and played with them
I wish I could join him, but I didnt

1. Toy Story 3
2. Wall-E
3. Toy Story
4. The Incredibles

Yes, TS3 is on top of that list. If you haven't seen it, go NOW.
Didn't like Bugs Life, Cars or Finding Nemo (sorry universe), never saw Ratatouille. Can't remember Toy Story 2 or Monsters Inc. well enough to rate them.

OH SNAP, I knew I was forgetting a good one. Hmmm...

1. Toy Story 3
2. Wall-E
3. Toy Story
4. Up
5. The Incredibles

Fixed.

Very mediocre in my opinion. Easily the worst Pixar film yet. Very predictable all the way through.
Dude, it is a fucking kids movie. All the Pixar films are predictable. If you want plot twists at every corner you probably should not watch a movie that is aimed at young kids.

You are in the minority. Pretty much everyone else in the world loves it.

Anyway I saw it yesterday. Fantastic movie. Easily ranks up there as one of my favorite Pixar movies of all time, maybe even higher than Up.

Also what did you guys thing of the Short that played before the movie?

It was an amazing movie the whole way through. I was laughing and smiling the whole way through, and I even almost cried at certain parts. Definitely this year's best movie.

I felt sorry about Lotso though :(
How can you!

Lotso, is up there in Evil Villans yes he is Lord Voldemort's Teddy Bear, he is Dr.Doom's Bedtime present. He is EVIL, EVIL I say. He got what he deserved, he tried to incinerate the toys, even after Woody risked his own life to save him. He is an evil bear, too evil
He is Lord Voldemort's Teddy Bear!!!!

I saw this movie three times and I still had tears in my eyes the third time I watched it.

Plus, I had to act like something bad was going to happen since each time i was with people who hadn't seen it.

I just watched it today and I have to concur with everyone; it was amazing. Easily the best movie I've watched in a long time. The ending was extremely touching and so emotional to me, I cried. I cracked when
Andy pulls away Woody when he sees him in the box. It hit a soft spot in me, especially as a kid who is about to go to college.

I have to admit though, I was a bit afraid that it would flunk hard since it was a sequel when it was first announced, but damn did it prove me wrong.

wow. Whoever found that Sid thing, good find. Never noticed that. Anyways, top Pixar movies from me:

1. Toy Story 3 (yeah, it's that amazing)
2. The Incredibles
3. Up
4. Cars
5. Toy Story (probably the only reason it's number 5 is because I don't remember most of it).

So.. I'm usually pretty good at tearing up, but only to a point where I can still conceal it. It was diff w/ TS3 though... I teared up to the point where a full tear rolled down my cheek, and to make matters worse, I couldn't hold back a full sniffle. Best and most touching movie I've seen in forever. I think the fact that I grew up on toys myself really influenced my emotions :'(

Heh, I just saw this movie.
Most of what can be said has already been said. I just had so much nostalgia at the beginning, it's the opening scene from the first one with special affects. Also, They did an amazing job with the whole backstory of lotso. How he was abandoned, and convinced the other two toys they had been replaced because of his own selfish insecurity and rage. Amazing. And at the end, when woody was writing the note, I wasn't sure if he was gonna say something to Andy, but then I realized. Beautiful. The only gripe I had was not with the story itself, but the movie made 0 use of the 3-d. When you consider our movie theater charges an extra $8 for 3-d plus i think they charge you extra at concessions, movies need to make better use of 3-d. I wish it had used the moving seats as well, woulda been awesome.

And the running gag is still just as amazing 10 years later. THE CLAW! YOU HAVE SAVED OUR LIVES, WE ARE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL!

Also, the mini-movie was pretty good, but waaaaayyyy to long imo. Cutting it in half would have made it superb.

Oh and:

Toy Story 3
Cars (was also very moving)
Wall-E
The Incredibles
Up

Firestorm

I did my best, I have no regrets!

No, the 3D was perfect. I didn't want Avatar "in your face" bullshit. The environment pans had a little extra depth due to it. Subtle is the way 3D should be done. I was really afraid we'd get stupid shit like what was shown in the trailers for those crappy looking movies but Pixar kept the movie as the focus rather than the technology.

Maybe spanish speakers will have to put up with the curse of almost every single animated movie being made in america, El buzzo might just speak spanish for them.
