The Next Best Thing v2 - Latios

Latios (M) @ Water Gem/Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Rain Dance
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Psyshock

this set lures tyranitar, some heatran and kill easily with water gem and surf, Also easily 2HKO Jirachi with some Hazard Support and OHKO CBScizor with SR and 1 layer of Spikes, Excelent Weatherless pokemon and a good partner por other TTar pokemon weak like chandelure, Life Orb if You want Stronger STABs
252 SpA Water Gem Latios Surf vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Scizor in rain: 277-327 (80.75 - 95.33%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock and Spikes
252 SpA Life Orb Latios Surf vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Jirachi in rain: 203-239 (50.24 - 59.15%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Latios (M) @ Life Orb / Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power [Fighting]/[Fire]
- Dragon Pulse
- Psyshock

While calm mind is normally only used on latias, latios can pull of a nice set and put a lot of pressure on sun, rain, and sand teams. Like most latios sets posted, this set aims to get around ttar, the biggest latios check. At +1 latios can OHKO banded ttar with hp fighting (i cant use honko so you`ll have to take my word for it unless someone wants to run it for me). HP fighting also helps him beat heatran easier, however, the set struggles with jirachi, forretress, and ferrothorn to a lesser degree, which is why hp fire is another option, but then heatran and ttar become problematic. Dragon pulse is a nice stab while psyshock helps deal with common fightings as well as get around the pink blobs. Surf can be added over either dragon pulse or psyshock so you can get around latios`s checks easier, but its not worth it imo. Life Orb adds a nice boost, helping latios KO sp defensive ttar, while leftovers give you recovery which is nice for dealing with or using it on a sand team. Obvious evs to maximize speed and sp attack, timid to outpace threats like keldeo and terrakion.

+1 252 SpA Latios Hidden Power Fighting vs. 180 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar in sand: 308-364 (79.79 - 94.3%) -- 43.75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252 SpA Life Orb Latios Hidden Power Fighting vs. 180 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar in sand: 400-473 (103.62 - 122.53%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 252 SpA Life Orb Latios Hidden Power Fighting vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Tyranitar in sand: 291-343 (72.02 - 84.9%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and Spikes
+1 252 SpA Life Orb Latios Surf vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Heatran: 278-330 (72.2 - 85.71%) -- 68.75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and Spikes
+1 252 SpA Life Orb Latios Hidden Power Fighting vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 229-270 (65.05 - 76.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Trying to lure tyranitar is cool, but being destroyed by Scarfttar is bad, like really bad. If you claim to beat ttar, at least try to beat all his versions please (especially the sun , maybe with dug in the back but without it he can Crunch you and comeback, switch, then comeback to RK your Venusaur, which his an awful position to be in)

@ShootinStarmie I don't wanna be the one to piss on your parade, but the dual screens set is already on-site and it's almost exactly the same so I guess that doesn't count =/

Offensive Tailwind Support Set:

Latios @ Dragon Gem
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 176 Spd / 252 SAtk / 80 HP
Timid Nature
- Tailwind
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock / Memento
- Surf / Memento

This is a really odd offensive support Latios set which is designed to set up Tailwind for other teammates and then go out with a bang. This allows another team mate can make use of its remaining one-three turns of Tailwind to clean up the rest of the team. It pairs best with Pokemon that are typically too slow to clean at an end game situation but also where Latios' power or attacking style may not suffice. Tons of things can go in the item slot but using a Dragon Gem allows Latios to hurl out as much damage as possible before dying. Here is one damage output possible with a Dragon Gem boosted Draco Meteor:

252 SpA Dragon Gem Latios Draco Meteor vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Keldeo: 375-442 (115.74 - 136.41%) -- guaranteed OHKO
This specific calc is provided as not only does Latios normally miss out on the assured KO (31.25% chance to OHKO with Psyshock), Latios can now consistently outspeed any Keldeo (or Terrakion) set - especially those holding scarves.

Obviously it has the same damage output as Choice Specs but with the added boon of double speed - allowing Latios to outspeed pretty much every relevant threat in OU. When not used in the late-game this set could also work well in conjunction with a trapping Pokemon like Choice Specs Gothitelle which would appreciate the speed boost or defensive buff given by Memento. Another useful aspect of this set is that while it performs this specific role it can still be used outside of it for general wall breaking or damaging.

Hone Claws Latios:

Latios (M) @ Ground Gem
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Naive Nature
- Hone Claws
- Draco Meteor
- Thunder
- Earth Quake

Using Hone claw may sound like a strange idea at first, but seeing how Latios learn both Thunder and Draco Meteor as well as needing EQ for mixed coverage, you can literally get the best of both worlds. Best part? You don't lose much in terms of power either.

+1 252 Atk Ground Gem Latios Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Jirachi: 382-450 (94.55 - 111.38%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252 Atk Ground Gem Latios Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Tyranitar: 350-414 (86.63 - 102.47%) -- 93.75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252 Atk Ground Gem Latios Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 252 Def Blissey: 377-444 (57.82 - 68.09%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252 Atk Ground Gem Latios Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Amoonguss: 255-301 (59.02 - 69.67%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252 Atk Ground Gem Latios Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Scizor: 191-225 (67.97 - 80.07%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
4 SpA Latios Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Hippowdon: 246-291 (58.57 - 69.28%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
4 SpA Latios Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Dragonite: 378-446 (97.92 - 115.54%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
4 SpA Latios Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Latias: 302-356 (82.96 - 97.8%) -- 68.75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
4 SpA Latios Thunder vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Politoed: 216-256 (56.25 - 66.66%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
4 SpA Latios Thunder vs. 224 HP / 252+ SpD Skarmory: 196-232 (59.93 - 70.94%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
4 SpA Latios Thunder vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Slowbro: 260-308 (66.15 - 78.37%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Earthquake
- Dragon Pulse/Draco Meteor
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Psyshock

Hay there the set that I will propose today is a cleaner/all-out attacker set of Latios.Once you have lured a bit the opposing team this set can destoy it easily.
Draco Meteor/Dragon Pulse and Psyshock are the main stab of Latios:The first kills the Dragon and the second the fights/poisons/fat princess.
Also this set allows Latios to do a lot of pressure on the opponent team and to not give him safe checks thanks to Earthquake and Hidden Power Fire over Surf for ohko standard Ferrothorn after 2 layers of spikes:
252 SpA Life Orb Latios Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 307-364 (87.21 - 103.4%) -- 18.75% chance to OHKO
Ohko Forretress without sturdy:
252 SpA Life Orb Latios Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Forretress: 598-707 (168.92 - 199.71%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Ohko Scizor:
252 SpA Life Orb Latios Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 216 SpD Scizor: 380-447 (110.46 - 129.94%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Ohko Abomasnow after 1 layer of Spikes or little damage(2%):
252 SpA Life Orb Latios Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 84+ SpD Abomasnow: 380-447 (98.95 - 116.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Spikes

Earthquake eliminates Heatran(Offensive set,does like 85% to the bulky),3OHKO Specialrachi(2OHKO the Offensive set),2OHKO Tyranitar(3OHKO the bulky,2OHKO after 1 layer of spikes),2OHKO Empoleon(Bulky):
4 Atk Life Orb Latios Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 328-390 (101.54 - 120.74%) -- guaranteed OHKO
4 Atk Life Orb Latios Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 328-390 (85.19 - 101.29%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO
4 Atk Life Orb Latios Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Jirachi: 174-205 (43.06 - 50.74%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
4 Atk Life Orb Latios Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Jirachi: 174-205 (50.87 - 59.94%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
4 Atk Life Orb Latios Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Tyranitar: 161-190 (47.07 - 55.55%) -- 69.53% chance to 2HKO
4 Atk Life Orb Latios Earthquake vs. 180 HP / 0 Def Tyranitar: 161-190 (41.7 - 49.22%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
4 Atk Life Orb Latios Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Empoleon: 190-226 (51.07 - 60.75%) -- 91.8% chance to 2HKO

Latios @ Life Orb/Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
-Draco Meteor
-Psyshock
-Surf/Hidden Power [Fire]/Roost
-Psych Up

There's no need for calcs or a long explanation here, the set is fairly simple. The main idea is that you are free to continue to blast off powerful Draco Meteors at the expense of a turn in Psych Up. Psych Up against anything that isn't at -2 also for using moves like DM will bring you back to normal stats, giving you full power again. It's best used when a switch-in thinks it can live your -2 or whatever Draco Meteor and you just fix your stats and 1-2HKO it.

It's also nice to steal boosts that are relevant to you (pretty much everything besides attack) and is useful to screw over Baton Passing chains. I made a man ragequit once after trying to Baton Pass a whole chain of boosts onto a Scizor when I just clicked Psych Up and then proceeded to 6-0 his team.

Psych up does not copy boosts behind sub though, does it?

Psych Up actually ignores sub.
This is lovely then

Snowcristal!

Latias forces a lot of switches and Substitute works really well for shutting down Choiced pokes that switch in.
