I've chosen the names here based on primarily current form, but also past tour history, and honestly personal bias. I'm prolly not as familiar with the newer people of the last 2 or so years,
Honourable mentions:
Kentari- feels really dirty leaving someone so good in SM out, don't let his current record fool you in his prime this man walks into SM( or even SS/oras if he extreme tryhards tbh) easily removing one of the other two starters. Thing is he's got different priorities and I'm hoping the best for him
Landon21- leaving imo the best SM player of all time and 1v1 of the better 1v1 players across generations to come out feels wrong, but i think other people have stepped up and put more time while he simply hasn't as of now
TSC: The best person to have the best record ever in team tours not being here just looks wrong, but I think he's had an off tour so far. Any other time I wouldn't hesitate slotting him right in.
187fan/Inkreativ: I honestly feel leaving both of this duo out already hurts the legitimacy of my list, and you could make a strong case for swapping them with me or some others on the list.
adb1710- Someone who'd been on a decent record so far, helping Asia clutch out the poffs no less, I feel a historically better tour run and a 3-0 over a 2-1 would have helped his chances in an already strong SS pool
Captain: DEG, absolute no brainer I will fight you for this. Not just picking him so when me and frosty coup him for manager slots next year it'll hurt less, but from this guys building, to interacting with team, to getting outside teambuilding help if needed, to his ability to veto snubull and iron tail landorus teams, you really need to be in a Deg team to see how much Deg really brings to the table if he so chooses to.
Co: Frostyicelad, can really fit anyone competent in this slot because i think Deg is compatible with a large portion of the community, if I'm honest just giving DEG his apparent punching bag for the last 4 or so years because of Asian synergy between the two. Plus, frosty also provides support when called upon and positive mentality never hurt any team.
SSBO7: Close: Absolute no brainer , you'd have to be quite a person to not pick someone who goes 3-0 in a pool of death the way close has. While a sort of hit-or-miss looking at tour records, when Close has performed, they've put a very strong showing in past team tours, and this one looks to be a strong tour with the looks of things
SSBO5: D2THEW: I think another fairly strong contender not just because of the 3-0 record here, but not going to g5 a single time in each of the series. Also been historically positive in team tours which helps.
SSBO5: Doc: Ok now wait listen don't stop reading- the thing with doc is while he has had a bad tour previously, and with good support he can be a good clicker with proper support and his current form
SMBO5: Squirtell: Going 3-0 with a strong performance, and going at a 50-50 win loss record in past tournament doesn't hinder him too much not much else to say, a solid pick
SMBO5: Elo Bandit: I know he's historically had a very bad track record in team tours, but he's brought creative sets and done well so far in this tour with a 3-0, and can flourish provided he continues his current form.
ORASBO5: Xstatic Cold: I personally think Xstatic's best meta is ORAS, and has the best win/loss record in the tour who's played more than 5 games. Yes he can be countered, but that's where support from a World XII comes in and with historically one of the best team tour players it'd be a crime to leave him out.
BWBO5: StablePrince: having a feeling like xsc, that stable was misallotted, and being the player with the best BW record would help him bounce back from his current tours run
MGBO5: Crucify: I know crying went 3-0 i pools and has a past pl record of 4-2, which in itself is good for starters, but I just feel crucify has far better meta knowledge and can provide good support for other slots too, and will be relying on him to help build with Deg
Subs: I wanted versatility and teambuilding support for subs,
pqs- Just destined to be one of those people who goes 3-0 or 0-3 with no inbetween, pqs i think has been around enough if the team desperately needs it, and on his day when he's rolling is very underrated. This just happens to be his 3-0 tour, and providing good support you can slot him around other tiers or swap around with bandit or squirtell too.
Baleblaze: Seemed a bit arrogant put myself on a global 12 having just come back and only played 3 games, but I think the difficulty level of the opponents just about carries me through to the bench. Plus, being versatile enough to play oras/sm or ss if absolutely need to doesn't hurt the case either and i can provide some support for either
cryinggg- with good support I think cryinggg can go slot into any tier or free up crucify to swap around if needed, with the form they're in right now and support
Stravench- Hot take, and you could probably add another strong builder in this place but I've seen this guy support and support this person does in spades. Also helps keep deg's sanity intact pumping 100 teams a week.

so east in world cup of 1v1 SIX............ did anyone have any expectations? like seriously? not only was their starting lineup absolute chodes, but to top it all off they had the worst formatting on any lineup post ive ever seen and probably ever will see.
like once we saw girl chungus my hopes were beyond low but at the end of the day east ~sometimes~ overperforms like brodie their lus are never this dire but usually they do better than they should because they have idk the power of friendship or something.

these guys kept losing and losing until they SUBBED IN DR PHD BLOWJOB WHILE THEIR SEASON WASN'T TECHNICALLY OVER! i'd say that this world cup had a lot of ups and downs for east but let's be honest it was all downs this team was complete dogshit all around the bored and an embrassment for the region. it would have taken a 1 in 1 million miracle to get this team to even tb and it didn't happen, as it seems the miracle was lasy year.
WHO'S TO BLAME: I BLAME MISHLEF AND MURMDOG!!! THEY BAILED ON THEIR REGION!! and this year they simply didn't get enough viable players tbh adding latam to this region made no sense like realistically a bunch of jajaers wont save a region with no builders (besides the self proclaimed east carry sicexv who has not seen playoffs with them). this region was hella dire and tbh could have been salvaged by giving them more states like lets be honest if next year central and south are this fucking broken and east is half as penis as this year world cup will be a joke. rosa is partly to blame with signups being bad and regions not really being adjusted in ways that made legitimate sense. also i still dont get how poomia goes negative in 2022 shes literally on ps and discord all day every day rumia perhaps try honing your craft?
LEGACY WATCH: sice probably needs to leave this penis ass team for cone LOL last year they somehow fluked their way into one of the greatest 1v1 team comebacks ever (wc5 last day of pools) and that simply doesn't seem to be on the horizon with how things are going now. earlier in pools people were saying he needs to be on cone but lets be honest after #JACOBPACKWATCH that doesn't really seem to be a super lucrative event in the future unless rosa lets that kid off easy which lowkey i kinda doubt with all the evidence. east is just a bad team with its best days behind them. east making a finals again seems like something lightyears away idk how those kids did it in the first place tbh, let alone twice.

okay manic and barely comprehensable Mubs rant aside let's take a look at what went wrong for this team. in the past this team has lowkey underpeformed, it's kind of been a us west situation where they usually have a solid chunk of pl starters/general tour players ready but fall a littttttttle short. this year was no different, these guys all had experience except for avalugg body press enthusiast bilboo. poggers!!!
so what happened in pools? tsc did bad in wc again, neomonster couldn't farm bo7, blazikin (aka the guy that had old tour records so bad the sheet was created) went 0-3 (i love u melo but still), and d2 had the only 3-0. all while hctc, dez and gronky sat on the bench. this team treaded water with a good ish ss but terrible sm with decent to good old gens. overall a semi predictable quite boring occourence in pools. it's fine tho central is the ceo of pools tb -> finals so if they can do it why not neu?!
so okay now it was time for a sweaty threeway no homo and these ties had to be BROKEN.

and this was the most nonsensical shit ive ever seen. neu is not exactly known for their genius tiebreak decisions, executing an innovative strategy of putting 6 unique players in tb last year and unfortunately getting left in the dust by central. this may have made sense to some people at the time but if you've ever been a good player on a bad team you've just thought to yourself man wouldn't it be cool if i could just play multiple slots? (insert le epic ghosting joke here) but anyway in a 3 way tb, you can, but these guys put a bunch of plumbers and off duty firemen in it and unsuprsingly got smashed by crucify and nalei and maybe indians? i dont remember. realistically you should just put your best players in tb with very few exceptions and those guys didn't do it. fast forward to this year, and let's breakdown every stupid decision in this tb from neu.
1. neomonster in bo7 vs both. this dude lost bo7 to bird and doc. he should not be tiebreaking vs good players if he is losing to those two individuals. cmon.
2. d2 only playing 1 ss game, and vs central. realistically it would be an entire chokejob for central to drop 1 of 2 tbs vs either of these weak ass teams, so putting d2 against the team with the most broken tb in the tour and maybe uhhhh in any 1v1 team tour ever and not vs US FUCKIN WEST is just so fuckin strange. west ss gets farmed. d2 is the ss farmer. idk why these ideas never merged in neu's brain to form an idea. if this decision was made cus d2 didn't want to get ~fatigued~ in 2 matchups then fuckin sack vs central and try ur best to take down west's historically penis ss. they only needed to win 1 measly tb (unless reset but thats not happening with centrals broken as shit tb) so winning at least 1 should be the goal. i understand neomon beat waylaid in pools but if you have a player who just went 3-0 in ss (farming phiwings btw) you should put them in vs the team with a weak ss.
3. gronky nowhere to be found. this dude is just good at the game and i personally would put him like uhhhhh muthafuckin ANYWHERE? if gronky isnt being slotted to randomly clutch high pressure games then why is he even on the gosh diddly darn team in the first place!?
4. dezshizzles en tb. i just don't see a reason to put him here. if tsc runs from tb as he has started to do lately, i would put gronky in and feed. he had a random clutch sm win in pl5 finals. you could honestly even make the case ink should have played, pl put him in a lot of clutch situations where he had to be THAT GUY and he was in semis. he played sm when it was cg and played in wc4. there's 2 good people to feed right dere but nope dez was in kekw. dez was great in pl5 playoffs but overall i think ink is the hotter player. so overall this makes dez the 4th best sm clutch player on the team and the fact that he was in this tb was kind of head scratching.
5. 187 fan in mickeygen vs zio. now look. some people will call this mickeygen tb pick dumb but i actually agree with it. crucify went negative in it and neu is just straight up outclassed in tb so might as well flip. you just need to put a powerful individual there who comes close to zio's skill. 187 fan is not that, respectfully. im not trying to 2 hand jerk zio here, he's not as insanely good as im making him out to be, but he's the better player and just uhhhh carried an unassuming pl team on his back to a ring by winning 9 times. gronky or neomonster vs zio is fine if you think flipping is your best bet, but fan is just a tier or two below zio, and with little clutch experience. i mean i don't think he's gone positive in a team tour ever tbh (woulda been if he didn't tb here, sad!), so putting HIM in THIS TIER as YOUR TB PICK went as well as it was expected to imotbhjs.
FIVE throws in 2 tiebreaks is actually fuckin insane dawg. THERE'S ONLY SIX FUCKIN SLOTS!!!! they picked the right tiers but when it was time to submit lineups these guys pulled a marcus dumb and forgot how to slot in a way that makes any rational sense. if these guys are ever fortunate enough to find themselves in a qualifying tb in the future I DEMAND that they just put their best players in and don't think twice. if they lose, they lose. ggs. even with this insanely suboptimal tb they took west to last game x3 which shows they were putting up a good fight. their mid players were pretty close but at the end of the day they got outclutched by goddamn us west.
GOOD THINGS THAT HAPPENED: this tour was good experience for quite a few people. it let blazikin derust, it let bilboo get some good experience and let fan get back into playing if he wants to continue doing that. neu can cope and say this was a win in the long run even tho making playoffs would really be the only thing that makes that true, as playoffs experience is quite valuable (unless ur gronky losing to tol).
WHO'S TO BLAME: whoever made these tiebreak decisions. cmon breh. you can't even blame rosa for this region, they had all the tools at their disposal. also their tb players i guess for not winning one series LMAO.
LEGACY WATCH: the netherlands europe won the first 3 world cups into missing playoffs 3 times in a row with viable teams. I'VE DECIDED that they were carried by liam latraumont in wc1, tonyflygon in wc2, and milan in wc3. no solar, you didn't carry that team. anyways, the pieces that are left are average to slightly above average, but seemingly not enough to get the chip. neomonster bragging about clutch gene in pools into double game 7 tb loss may be the most ironically dumb thing to happen in 1v1 in recent memory. the legacy of neu right now is the team that was kinda in the right place at the right time 3 times and now with their best players retired being an aggressively mid team that falls short of the playoffs with some mind bogglingly dumb tb decisions.

2. d2 only playing 1 ss game, and vs central. realistically it would be an entire chokejob for central to drop 1 of 2 tbs vs either of these weak ass teams, so putting d2 against the team with the most broken tb in the tour and maybe uhhhh in any 1v1 team tour ever and not vs US FUCKIN WEST is just so fuckin strange. west ss gets farmed. d2 is the ss farmer. idk why these ideas never merged in neu's brain to form an idea. if this decision was made cus d2 didn't want to get ~fatigued~ in 2 matchups then fuckin sack vs central and try ur best to take down west's historically penis ss. they only needed to win 1 measly tb (unless reset but thats not happening with centrals broken as shit tb) so winning at least 1 should be the goal. i understand neomon beat waylaid in pools but if you have a player who just went 3-0 in ss (farming phiwings btw) you should put them in vs the team with a weak ss.
3. gronky nowhere to be found. this dude is just good at the game and i personally would put him like uhhhhh muthafuckin ANYWHERE? if gronky isnt being slotted to randomly clutch high pressure games then why is he even on the gosh diddly darn team in the first place!?
4. dezshizzles en tb. i just don't see a reason to put him here. if tsc runs from tb as he has started to do lately, i would put gronky in and feed. he had a random clutch sm win in pl5 finals. you could honestly even make the case ink should have played, pl put him in a lot of clutch situations where he had to be THAT GUY and he was in semis. he played sm when it was cg and played in wc4. there's 2 good people to feed right dere but nope dez was in kekw. dez was great in pl5 playoffs but overall i think ink is the hotter player. so overall this makes dez the 4th best sm clutch player on the team and the fact that he was in this tb was kind of head scratching.
5. 187 fan in mickeygen vs zio. now look. some people will call this mickeygen tb pick dumb but i actually agree with it. crucify went negative in it and neu is just straight up outclassed in tb so might as well flip. you just need to put a powerful individual there who comes close to zio's skill. 187 fan is not that, respectfully. im not trying to 2 hand jerk zio here, he's not as insanely good as im making him out to be, but he's the better player and just uhhhh carried an unassuming pl team on his back to a ring by winning 9 times. gronky or neomonster vs zio is fine if you think flipping is your best bet, but fan is just a tier or two below zio, and with little clutch experience. i mean i don't think he's gone positive in a team tour ever tbh (woulda been if he didn't tb here, sad!), so putting HIM in THIS TIER as YOUR TB PICK went as well as it was expected to imotbhjs.

anyway random tangent since we have not put enough focus on the captains of this team. first off lbdc had under like 200 lines this tour and he got lazy and built like nothing new which isnt surprising but still. secondly radu stopped posting his teams or building for anyone else but himself. the expectation as a captain is for u to support your teammates especially if you slot people like pietro or soulwind who need to be fed. you do have to be some kind of leader figure on your team if you assume leadership and indicate activity. "but he had exams and a gf!!!!" do you really think no one in the history of 1v1 has played a mons tour with a busy life? it takes like an hour or two max if you want to scout and prep a few teams for someone. that wouldve went a long way. instead he just did nothing and watched his team lose. he did let eggsbuns try to save seu but cmon that guy cant build 4 slots and solo carry. the minimum responsibility for a team captain is to submit a lineup and he still fumbled that with slotting multiple feeding slots and xsc in the wrong meta. do u notice that the only people that went positive on seu (close, ncal, blurb) are self sufficient? maybe that means something!!! if u dont expect to be active that tour slot ppl that can build for themselves like pa in ss or arguably gorilaa/lancer in sm originally. even if tricking was busy he probably wouldve been better than pietro at piloting and farming noobs like bo bobson and adam numbers lmao. in summary seus captains sucked, lu was bad and everyone underperformed. even with that, the season was easily salvagable but the people left like blurb didn't clean up. a win v urf wouldve went a long way but he brought garbage and got washed.

so why am i talking about cone's past so much? well, this year they had noone LMAO. i mean just look at their lineup dawg. this team is a #5 dark horse max with the assumption that jacob carries them.

Did people hate their team so much that we have no shoutout till now? Anyway, unfortunate way to go out, we got Pokemon'd but nothing we could do. As a team labeled by many as shit, that wouldn't succeed, we did good and I really had fun. I also had fun trolling people in the 1v1 cord and see you all mald at me :joy: but you bait much more/worse so idk what was the fuss about.
The only personal shoutout is stravench which was probably the MVP of SS teambuilding. I'm happy I drafted you and thought you about tournament usage and building ways and hope you have fun in your future team tournaments as a support or even as a player hopefully. You did a great job keeping up with my fast pace of analyzing and building so thank you and I wouldn't have done any teambuilding progress in SS without you. @ other people in Asia, you all did a fantastic job and I'm really happy I got to team with every single one of you, you did everything you could and played well and hopefully some of you showed that they can do it with support.
+ this has been the most cringe tour so far and if we continue going the same path, PL will be cringer. Everything was kinda cringe, starting with the game chat, unnecessary and excessive armchairing, and some managerial drama. I know we're all here to have fun but don't suck the fun out of the people. If a person just lost there's no need to excessive armchair especially if you're negative or not playing at all lmfaoo. Constructive criticism is fine, joking around is fun, but there's really a big line between toxic armchairing that just kills the fun and criticism. Also, if you're busy and you don't think you can manage just don't do it, there's no need to do that and literally ruin the fun and disrespect your team members like come on, as a player you're not owed to build and support or do motivational stuff but as a manager that's your role. We all have lives and if you don't have that 2-3 hours every two days to scout/toss idea/get people involved/analyze MUs you don't blame it on having a life. the community i think is intimidating for newer users or users that are transitioning to this metagame cause we have permad and dogshit players larping all the time, in combination with all the armchairing (no vacuuming waving a ttar is not risk free) which feels more than in other tour, but even in the other tours i manage im really not as involved with the community as i am here

crow crumbs your record doesn't give you credit for how helpful you were. You helped every person who went through the revolving door that was our ss3, provided crying with their SS teams, and even helped pqs with oras in semis. Thanks so much for everything!
cleffa hater I'm glad you got some more exposure with WC, don't beat yourself up over your pool record, that was probably the hardest pool of anyone on the team. Thanks for sticking around during playoffs (including your win in semis!) and being a good sport. You've got better things ahead of you, I'm sure.

Squirtell 1v1 I knew you were good but wow- Your run was super impressive this tour, really glad you joined us this year! You were always a great presence in chat, and your teams were always heat.
Tol you're always a delight to team with! Whether it was 2am ramblings or just everyday banter, you brightened up the team Discord consistently. You're the only person I that has made me laugh while watching a series live, and you did it no less than 3 separate times.
