Match
A match is a composition of multiple games. A match is over when one trainer wins two games.
Both players send in a team of 3 Pokemon.

Game 1:
- The ref flips a coin (or rolls a 1d2, you get the idea) to select who is "T1" and who is "T2"
- T1 strikes one of the five arenas
- T2 strikes two of the remaining four arenas
- T1 strikes one more arena
- The round is played on the remaining arena
- T1 is first sendout

Games 2+:
- The winner of the previous round gets to strike one arena
- The loser of the previous round picks one of the remaining arenas
- The round is played on the selected arena
- The loser of the previous round is first sendout

Game
B3P2 Singles
72h DQ, 1 Warning
Abilities: All
Items: ON
Switch: OK
Megas: 1
Z-Moves: 1
Substitutions: 3
Recoveries: 2 per Pokemon
Chills: 5 per Pokemon
Arena: Variable
Special Rule #1: The game ends when the first KO is scored. The trainer of the KO'd pokemon loses that game.
Special Rule #2: When you send in your team, if a Pokemon has access to form-changing items or attachments: submit one (1) form-changing item or attachment to your ref. The item you submitted to the ref is a secret. During battle, you may not attempt to equip form-changing items or attachments, other than what you submitted to the ref.
Ula’Ula Meadow
This beautiful flower meadow is covered with red flowers. Oricorio usually feast on that nectar, strengthening their Fire abilities and transforming them into birds reminiscent of flamenco dancers. Many Bug-type Pokémon also covet the nectar; they seem more feisty than usual.

  • Normal-Type moves become Fire-type (before applying Abilities)
  • Pokemon do not lose HP from Burn
  • Fire is only neutrally effective against Bug, and Bug is neutrally effective against Fire
Codifications
Camouflage: Grass
Nature Power: Energy Ball
Secret Power: Causes sleep
===================
Ruins of Abundance
These ruins are home to a yet slumbering Tapu Bulu. Here, under the sandy stretch of the desert, vivid nature is waiting to spring back to life. Tapu Bulu itself might be watching you battle!

  • Damaging Water-Type moves create Grassy Terrain (1r) after they deal damage.
  • Rain Dance creates Grassy Terrain (2r).
  • If a damaging Water-type move is used successfully while Grassy Terrain is in play (even if it missed or dealt no damage), then both Pokémon become Ingrained until the start of the next Round
  • Berries that restore HP can be activated twice instead of once
Codifications
Camouflage: Grass
Nature Power: Earth Power
Secret Power: Causes flinching
===================
Haina Desert
This desert can get a little confusing to navigate, as directions do not seem to follow the proper guidelines for directions across the multiverse. Where’s your left, and where’s your right? Where did you come from, and where did you go? It can even unsettle your Pokémon, too!

  • At the start of each Round, apply the following effect:
    • If the Round number is odd, change the default weather to Sunny.
    • If the Round number is even, change the default weather to Sandstorm.
  • Pokémon can only change the weather by using the appropriate weather stone
  • If a Pokémon switches out for any reason (self-switching, forced switching, or switch phases), and the second Pokémon has not yet been sent out, it is chosen at random, with a 50% chance of being chosen
  • Whenever an active Pokémon leaves play, its replacement becomes confused for 1a
Codifications
Camouflage: Ground
Nature Power: Earth Power
Secret Power: Lowers Accuracy by 1 stage
===================
Abandoned Thrifty Megamart
Initially implanted in Ula’Ula, this site of the Thrifty Megamart, built on sacred grounds, was destroyed by Tapu Bulu. It is now overrun with Ghost-type Pokémon, and urban rumors tell tales of disturbing events happening within…

  • All Pokémon have the Ability Levitate, in addition to their own Abilities
  • If a Pokémon flinches, they expend the EN they would have expended had they acted, and also become Sluggish for the next action, but they cannot be flinched anymore as long as they remain in play
  • Any damaging move directed towards an Electric-type Pokémon gains three (3) BAP (after all other modifiers).
Codifications
Camouflage: Ghost
Nature Power: Shadow Ball
Secret Power: Causes flinching
===================
Hokulani Observatory
Alola’s second tallest mountain hosts the Hokulani Observatory, a celestial research center. Sophocles’ bizarre inventions abound in the inner rooms; they also have a tendency to go rogue and release bursts of electricity into the air.

  • Damaging Electric-type moves gain five (5) BAP (before other modifiers), but they deal three (3) Recoil damage to the user
  • Pokémon with Lightning Rod, Plus, or Minus Abilities gain two (2) HP at the end of each action. Multiple Abilities don’t stack
  • Steel-type Pokémon cannot be corroded or paralyzed
Codifications

Nature Power: Tri Attack
Secret Power: Causes paralysis

If I was to guess, I'd say epicdrill really wants a Tapu Bulu because she brought a stacked team. That's some big guns!
Can relative newbie chuck 1-up her through wise tactics? Only in battle shall we see!

I hear Ula’Ula Meadow is lovely this time of year.
:sm/hydreigon: G-G-Growl? (Uh-oh. There's a trainer approaching. Is that a Mega Bracelet???)
Sending out Hydreigon @ Expert Belt

Let's start off with Dragonite @ Eject Button

Dragon Claw, Breaking Swipe, Dragon Claw
IF Hydreigon is to use Fly (Evasive), THEN Twister.
IF Hydreigon successfully uses a P/E move AND you have 94 HP or less AND you are not poisoned AND you are not under the effect of Partial Trapping THEN Roost.
IF Hydreigon hits you with a partial trapping move AND Hydreigon did not use U-Turn on any prior action AND Hydreigon is not to use U-Turn on any future action, THEN Wrap.

I feel like I spent 20 minutes looking for a more clever set of attacks then this.
:sm/hydreigon: G-G-Growl! (Feel the freeze!)

And right off the gate you can see why Dragonite is one of the most powerful Pokémon you can ever face: not only does it have a gigantic movepool, but if you thought it'd be easy to take down with Ice-type moves, you'd be wrong! It's chonky enough from stats alone, but Multiscale pushes it to obscene heights.
And it shows, too: Hydreigon is barely able to dent (pun intended) its HP, while it loses a good 2/3 of its health! Sure, chuck can switch, but that Eject Button is making its presence known and its impact could very well mean epicdrill effortlessly winning the first game...

This sucks. Maybe this can get us in a better position?
:sm/hydreigon: G-G-Growl. (This is a pretty bad situation.)
Protect - Dragon Tail/U-Turn - Protect
If P/E, Then start sequence Roost - Dragon Tail/U-Turn - Protect
If Healing Move, Then Taunt
If Double Team, Then start sequence Breaking Swipe - Dragon Tail/U-Turn - Protect

Your first sub has a hole in that if I were to just order Protect x3, then you'd end up Roosting every action, but it's not worth it for me to exploit that hole, I think this will work out better for me, since Dragon Tail can't phase through Substitute.

Substitute (15), Dragon Claw, Tailwind

Oh boy it feels like I'm watching Pac-Man clips. chuck goes for a cool new combo, only to get blocked by a clever Substitute! Hydreigon is dancing out alone, but that doesn't mean the replacement will have it easy: epicdrill has been setting up a very advantageous situation, given that Dragonite has Eject Button and its combo token intact, has essentially doubled Speed, is behind a Substitute, and orders second.
This... does not look good for our underdog here, I'll say.

Ice Punch - Ice Punch - Ice Punch

If P/E, Then Double Team the first instance, Agility otherwise
If Damaging Ground Type Move, Then Magnet Rise (once)
If D/E, Then Reflect the first instance, Cosmic Power otherwise

For future reference, Double Team with no number of clones specified is an illegal order, which makes your first sub illegal. However, it would actually be better for me in this case if that sub were legal, because then I could order Protect, Whirlwind, Protect without running into EN issues and Whirlwind has perfect accuracy, and therefore doesn't care about Double Team clones.

Earthquake, Whirlwind, Fly (Evasive)

Welp, Ula'Ula Meadow was a bust, let's try Hokulani Observatory.
Chitter... (Calculating... Lets hope round 2 goes more smoothly.)
Sending out Metagross @ Muscle Band

Let's try out a mirror matchup!

Sending out Metagross @ Metagrossite
[Always Mega Evolve A1] Block+Brutal Swing, Fire Punch, Stomping Tantrum
[ONCE] IF your opponent is to use Earthquake AND your opponent is to use Earthquake on a future action AND you are to move first by speed order, THEN Magnet Rise and push back actions.
IF your opponent successfully uses a P/E move AND you are to use Block+Brutal Swing, THEN Block.
IF your opponent successfully uses a P/E move, THEN Reflect.

Ok, assuming my calculations are correct, I think this will work decently.
Chitter... (Calculating... I can't tell if ordering Fire Punch was a missplay or a big-brain strat.)
Combo (Bulldoze/Mud Slap) - Earthquake - Substitute(25 HP)

Lotsa spaghetti this round if I'm honest. Between epicdrill forgetting Metagross cannot learn Fire Punch (I wish!) and chuck forgetting about Clear Body (unless it's a galaxy brain play that I'm too dumb to understand), both battlers are stumbling a bit.
epicdrill gets up on top though, since chuck's Metagross is feeling quite down in HP. A few Sound-based moves and... Well, let's not presume.

Whelp, I got nothing.
Chitter... (Calculating... :pikuh:)
Earthquake - Earthquake - Earthquake
If P/E, Then Reflect the first instance, Agility on the second
If Magnet Rise, Then replace all instances of Earthquake with Stomping Tantrum

I have now seen the light. Stomping Tantrum is a great move and I will never doubt epicdrill's brainpower ever again. I apologize, for I am but a squirming worm in front of her might.
Anyway, epicdrill can now freely switch and pressure a very weakened Metagross, so let's see her try to win next round. With Dragonite. Again.

So, I could have Quinn close this out, but if I misplay while trying to do that because Quinn doesn't have a way to break another Metagross' Endure, then I could lose this, so I'm going to go with the safer play here. Sophie, it's your turn!

Switching to Sophie the Dragonite @ Charcoal, no counterswitch because of Block.
Extreme Speed+Fire Punch, Extreme Speed+Fire Punch, Extreme Speed+Fire Punch
IF Metagross is to use Endure, THEN Flamethrower+Fire Spin.
IF Metagross successfully uses a P/E move, THEN Dragon Dance.
