Resource Team Bazaar

Now that I (finally) never have to play this meta again, I figured I'd do a team dump, some of these are memey as hell or outdated but whatever. Click on sprites for pastes

:hariyama::quagsire::scream tail::talonflame::cyclizar::sandy shocks: Didn't end up using this but it performed pretty well in testing, fairly standard hariyama team.

:hippowdon::talonflame::dragalge::magnezone::scream tail::cyclizar: I like this team a lot, dragalge is really good into a lot of balance cores at the moment.

:slither wing::salamence::alomomola::cyclizar::sandy shocks::tinkaton: This team is kinda whatever but slither wing is still cool

:froslass::oricorio-pom-pom::iron jugulis::zoroark-hisui::cloyster::maushold: This was one of my attempts at terrainless ho this month, it's not particularly great but it's fun.
:froslass::armarouge::iron jugulis::zoroark-hisui::cloyster::maushold: This is an alternate version.

:jolteon::iron jugulis::armarouge::gastrodon::wo-chien::cyclizar: Jolteon honestly isn't that bad, biggest problem is if you face gastro it's kind of a dead slot.

:cyclizar::slowbro::gastrodon::salamence::wo-chien::gengar: This is pretty good anti cheese, not great vs other stuff.

:goodra::pawmot::rotom-heat::iron jugulis::donphan::greninja: Goodra is honestly not bad, it's coverage is pretty good for the tier, and eject pack can be a cool item on it.
:gardevoir::pawmot::rotom-heat::iron jugulis::donphan::greninja: This version without goodra is better into stuff like greninja, I don't think gard is that great without zone support in current meta but it gave me a playable rain match up before peli rose.

:leafeon::scizor::scream tail::rotom-heat::cyclizar::hippowdon: Leafeon honestly kinda put in work when I used it, it gets completely shut down by chesnaught which wasn't in the tier at the time but grass bug rock is surprisingly good coverage.

:sylveon::decidueye::scizor::hippowdon::salamence::magnezone: Made an rmt on this.

:scizor::tyranitar::decidueye::sandy shocks::talonflame::alomomola: Very standard team which in hindsight wasn't that good.

:magnezone::sylveon::wo-chien::cyclizar::gastrodon::talonflame: I think specs sylveon is pretty bad, at least compared to cm, but it was a fun experiment.

:hippowdon::tyranitar::quagsire::cyclizar::scizor::lycanroc: I won far too many games on ladder with this.

:tinkaton::greninja::hippowdon::alomomola::mimikyu::talonflame: I made this as a ho cteam.

:gastrodon::magnezone::salamence::venomoth::decidueye::talonflame: I tried to ladder with this and dropped from 1700 to 1300 in an hour, sleep powder accuracy might be the worst thing in pokemon.

:bombirdier::bisharp::hippowdon::decidueye::tauros-paldea-aqua::scream tail: The team I got to 1700 with before I used the venomoth team, idk why did this anything.

:hippowdon::talonflame::slowbro::salamence::lycanroc::hariyama: I used this to get scizor reqs, the dog honestly isn't that bad even compared to dusk form, being less reliant on accelerock is good in psyterrain meta.

:pawmot::gardevoir::sandy shocks::oricorio-sensu::gyarados::weavile: The last team in my builder, pokemonisfun brought this in like week 2 or 3 of uufpl I think. Horribly outdated now but at the time weavile could actually pretty reliably break holes in a lot of the common balance cores.

I also wanted to dump some of the teams ive made. these are all the teams i have built going back to when slowking moved up to ou i think. i wanted to submit some of these for sample teams but i never got around to it. im going to miss this meta i think, its been a really fun time.

https://pokepast.es/67267665fcab6f63 i wanted to use tera normal double edge mence for some reason
https://pokepast.es/57ebd97589f533b5 rasche wanted to use armarouge for BLT
https://pokepast.es/96ad76869d7e1274 draconic lepus and mandibuladel555 convinced me to try dudunsparce (its decent lol)
https://pokepast.es/959a160491fc6817 i wanted to try scarf quaquaval and i think offensive deci is underrated
https://pokepast.es/f50663682e11d87f i thought scarf tauros fire might be a cool talonflame lure for scizor to sweep more easily
https://pokepast.es/eb2998959a515111 bb skarm wanted to use something with hippowdon and slowbro for uu open iirc? and rasche used this for BLT aswell
https://pokepast.es/567bbeca8906f10b i wanted to use broken gyarados (i dont think this turned out the greatest but i had some sucess)
https://pokepast.es/2f7b17db3751c769 this was inspired by liz'es sylv zone team
https://pokepast.es/b4aeb2ed59b4bf89 tauros water + scream tail + altaria seemed like a cool core to me and i wanted to try it out. i was never very good at piloting this.
https://pokepast.es/94d87dbe23cd3c67 i wanted to use pawmot + iron jugulis because it seemed like a good core and offensive peli seemed like it worked out well as a last mon. i think this team is pretty cool just the scizor mu is a bit rocky. i used this for uult laddering
https://pokepast.es/4645ecb621b9a505 this is built around slither wing + cb ttar. slither u turns on mence and tflame and shit and brings in ttar so you can stone edge everything to death.
https://pokepast.es/76a1f0432960a47e loses to hurricane sorta but i think this is a fun team. i think the mossy sandwich cb tauros sample team is a better cb tauros team.
https://pokepast.es/5e5c0debc5024609 i spammed this on ladder alot around the time when alomomola was still considered not very good so i wanted to experiment with her.
https://pokepast.es/632f6e5e2b14302a i accidentally made a spellcaster team but with hariyama over cb ttar.
https://pokepast.es/df45e7cedd5e7913 this pretty much carried by attempts at qualling for UULT. this team is broken.
https://pokepast.es/32531edef83146c1 early gren meta team.
https://pokepast.es/7ebd4cbbff63b430 pawmot + scizor is a similar concept to slither wing + ttar. pivot on the flyers and bring in strong breaker.
https://pokepast.es/d21c9cac82122183 zoe won with this in uufpl i think
https://pokepast.es/fab34a209cf35874 my first decidueye team i think. this probably sucks ass
https://pokepast.es/4a594cab30ee1eac a bramble wattrel team from a while ago
https://pokepast.es/7d2b8b9bb74bdd8e another ttar mola build
https://pokepast.es/9e949d97e0953c8a taunt oricorio is very broken. this team is weak to flying types. i do not think i executed the concept very well.
https://pokepast.es/a289da072f4d2515 a dragalge magnezone team inspired by something made by scalescale. i lost to this in uu open lol

I might as well share all the teams I made over the course of UUFPL since I am quite frankly just waiting for all the new drops to come and my motivation towards SV UU atm is at an all-time low. You can treat this as a post-tour report since this was the first forum team tour where I played a good chunk of games the only one that's basically unuseable is the Iron Leaves team lol. Pokepastes are in the sprites.

[Week 1 vs Parpar] [L]
:Gallade: :Scream Tail: :Gyarados: :Donphan: :Sandy Shocks: :Iron Jugulis:

This was a team that was based on a ladder team I enjoyed using in March that featured Agility Gallade and it was one that also featured DD Gyara which I thought could be a cool idea alongside AV Donphan. Unfortunately, it didn't really work out since I fell behind early although I did like the build. Wish passing was something I highly valued in my builds mostly for longevity purposes and you'll see it as a recurring theme for a lot of my teams.

[Week 2 vs Hurtadoo] [W]
:Salamence: :Hippowdon: :Brambleghast: :Salazzle: :Talonflame: :Sylveon:

Sylveon and Salazzle at the time were both mons that I thought had really interesting applications that building around them would not seem too tall of a task. Specs Sylveon was cool and all but wish passing with CM made it an effective checkmate mon that stuffed the Shocks+Jug combo. Salazzle's corrosion seemed like a solid idea to work off of in its ability to force progress and force switches since it can put Tinkaton on a timer via Toxic. +2 Salazzle can 1 tap shocks and do a lot of damage so I went with that. DD Moxie Mence just seemed like a solid fit with wish support to enable safer entry too. The game went fairly smoothly with Salazzle and Sylveon both doing a lot of work and Brambleghast also did well in removing hazards.

[Week 3 vs Spellcaster] [W]
:Iron Leaves: :Tauros-Paldea-Aqua: :Hippowdon: :Mimikyu: :Gardevoir: :Salamence:

Going into April, there was a ton to deal with in the builder; namely rain, Quaquaval, Iron Leaves, and all the other usual threats in UU. The team I constructed aimed to deal with as many of these as possible within a reasonable manner and aimed for having multiple outs against as many archetypes as possible. There were limited Iron Leaves answers and Intimidate Mence was one of the only real solid options I could go for that still fit. Scarf Gardevoir and Tauros-Aqua were aimed to deal with rain threats offensively and defensively respectively while Hippo was a general all-purpose wall that also ran Stone Edge to punish Pelipper and Talon respectively. Leaves was just the cleaner so nothing special there. The game was a standard offense vs offense game where I stayed ahead of the sac war and won.

[Week 4 vs Beraldo Sificon] [W]
:Slowbro: :Hippowdon: :Wo-Chien: :Talonflame: :Quagsire: :Florges:

You've probably seen this team way too many times during UULT, some UU Tour or just in general. it was at its peak in April since I believed it covered almost if not every relevant metagame threat within reason. I would probably consider this team the best one I've created. So I originally designed this team out of frustration since I believed every other team style just had a far too obvious hole that got it 6-0'ed by some shit whether it was Maushold, Quaquaval, or some other stupid shit which I still think plagues this tier far too much and at times makes it miserable to play. It's aged surprisingly well all things considered when it ended up being used a few times in Poffs for UUFPL. Also s/o Sylvi for helping me fine-tune the final parts of the team at the time with the Quagsire and Slowbro sets.

The team actually gets 6-0'ed by a properly played CM Psyshock Armarogue but that's because when the team was made, Arma was originally not in the tier. Florges had a lot of qualities that made it effective at scrub-checking people and it contained a lot of powerful specs users at the time with spdef investment, and I wanted to take advantage of the extra PP of Wish. Slowbro was needed to contain Rain and Quaquaval because it was something that you couldn't ignore in builder. A lot of the other mons you see here are pretty standard on fat/stall. While I subbed out since the team lost the week, it was still shown to be extremely effective at what it does. Ban Wo-Chien lol

[Week 5 vs Udongirl] [L]
:Salamence: :Wo-Chien: :Quaquaval: :Hippowdon: :Sylveon: :Salazzle:

Very rough week building-wise for me since I felt burnt out from trying to build. The tier felt miserable, and a lot of builds I tried testing out just felt like it had too many issues or I didn't like, Ultimately I settled for some comfort picks and going back to what I liked. I tried tspikes Salazzle but unfortunately it didn't work out for me. I wanted to run intim DD Mence to try and disguise the set and what not. Probably my least favorite team I've made.

[Week 6 vs Lialiabeast] [W]
:Magnezone: :Cyclizar: :Hippowdon: :Lycanroc-Dusk: :Tauros-Paldea-Aqua: :Scream Tail:

New drops came in May and we ended up getting Cyclizar so I wanted to build around that. The original version of this team had Florges instead of Scream Tail until Drew told me to chill with the Florges usage LMFAO. Scream Tail still did the job that I wanted it to do anyways and it stayed true to the principle of this team which was to remove Tinkaton with Magnezone and let the fairy pop off. SD Lycan is also pretty good against offense and it's Diet Terrak for UU with Tera Fight. The original version I used a lot to qualify for UULT Cycle 1 and it's a very fun team to play with. Tauros was ol' reliable in the rare event I ran into rain while Cyclizar is utility regen mon which is great.

The actual game it went fairly smoothly although scarf Pawmot was worrisome and Specs Pel threw me off. Luckily I was able to get Scream in position to safely CM to win the game since I removed Tinkaton very early.

[Week 7 vs Chaos23333] [L]
:Magnezone: :Florges: :Hippowdon: :Cyclizar: :Talonflame: :Dragalge:

Dragalge was something my teammates and Drew suggested for this team as I wanted to give Fairyzone another run during this week since I thought it was a good playstyle in the meta. Sub-BU Talon was a "heat pick" that I got as an idea from seeing starbitstorm use in UU Open. Toxic Spike was an aspect that could really be exploited when paired with Knock. However, CB tar proved to be a major issue for this team as even Hippowdon couldn't come in on its attacks consistently and my team didn't really have enough offensive firepower to handle it. I def could have played better although this team also has an admittingly spotty Psyterrain MU and I thought it was still solid enough.

[Semifinals vs Jawabarat] [W]
:Greninja: :Talonflame: :Scizor: :Wo-Chien: :Scream Tail: :Gastrodon:

I had not used Greninja all tour long and I figured this was a great time to use it in the semifinals. Specs Gren was something people seemed to ignore a lot in the builder for some reason at the time and I thought pairing it with Scizor would be a great idea especially given I had not used Sciz much. It was a BO team that once again was designed around longevity and being able to play the long game. I did not run Cyclizar again for removal because I believed there was generally a major burden on Cyclizar to spin as the sole hazard removal option on teams. Scream Tail's spread was something I borrowed from the Chinese builds and it worked nicely here. The original team had Shocks instead of Gastrodon but I had noticed that Quaquaval was far too big of an issue during testing so Gastrodon was slotted as a boring but practical solution.

I did not expect to have to rely on stalling with Wo-Chien to win my semifinal match since my Gren got frozen early on and I had to play 5v6. A lot of Greninja's at the time did not run Dark Pulse for whatever reason and I took full advantage of that with Tera ghost Wo-Chien which my opponent had no chance of breaking through reliably.

For as many gripes as I have had with the tier as a whole in terms of how it's been handled these last few months, I still had a lot of fun making most of these teams. S/O's starbitstorm and Detective Rope for helping me get through these few months and keeping me from stressing out too hard in the builder.

Edit: I realized I put the wrong paste for week 5 but just for the sake of preservation, here's that
version I edited out

Team dump courtesy of Sirwings:

I had alot of fun playing this tour and since i'm already out, i figured i might link the few interesting teams i played.

I'll start by linking the non mono teams which i had plenty of fun loading against TyCarter:
:abomasnow: specs aboma & sd samurott: https://pokepast.es/b5cf75f501246c3b
:ditto: ditto ground-less stall: https://pokepast.es/739680db5d7e909d
:camerupt: camerupt tspike HO: https://pokepast.es/c140e39ac938dc83 (+ the version that wasn't played https://pokepast.es/97c50bc9ffdcd2cd)

Now the most interesting part, the mono teams i played and i had the most fun to play and build:

:drakloak: mono ghost: https://pokepast.es/61f29ff2b723e4fa s/o Parpar
:cetitan: mono ice: https://pokepast.es/a1ea3fc4ec8c2f1a
:bronzong: mono psy: https://pokepast.es/36d39d2e02cfec8a
:noivern: mono fly: https://pokepast.es/5004d79220828767
:oricorio pom-pom: mono elec: https://pokepast.es/1114bd95211fb52e

And as a bonus, a few teams i didn't brought but still built with the intention of playing for this tour:

:salamence: semi-stall dd id salamence: https://pokepast.es/81ff1d2fb4963df6
:zweilous: weird zweilous bo: https://pokepast.es/d0ad7ba4dd5e668c
:quaquaval: mono 9g: https://pokepast.es/23088757ae6d521c

Wishing gl to the rest of the remaining players!

Just dropping some teams I spammed this month:

:indeedee: :polteageist: :armarouge: :quaquaval: :hawlucha: :donphan:
https://pokepast.es/33538e513b02a8fd
My version of Psy Terrain. Sash Armarouge allows it to not be deadweight against some mons that it would normally struggle against (Greninja, Iron Jugulis). Air Balloon Donphan owns HO lead shocks (seen in the sample teams), compresses roles, and sturdy is a nice ability in a pinch I wish Iron Treads was in UU.

:tyranitar: :gyarados: :slowbro: :tinkaton: :sandy shocks: :maushold:
https://pokepast.es/271f5657344628e5
Before this, I hadn't really used gyarados before, but now I understand why some people swear by this mon (it is a menace). Maushold was also really fun to use, especially late-game (population bomb go brr).

:quagsire: :naclstack: :salamence: :tyranitar: :quaquaval: :scizor:
https://pokepast.es/86b1e7793193a032
Quad Band. Used this whenever I felt tired of ladder BS, and just wanted to click some buttons and see mons go down.

Hello, shifts are imminent and I figured that I’d dump some pre-home teams I’ve built. However, I don’t feel like posting cringe viable teams so I’ll instead take this as an opportunity to archive some “fun” teams. (self-sabotage!)

Electric Terrain HO - https://pokepast.es/b1d727943cda9ae8 - urchin sucks man, like rlly sucks
:pincurchin: :iron-Jugulis: :iron-thorns: :Drifblim: :hawlucha: :oricorio-Pom-PoM:

Inteleon Balance - https://pokepast.es/edd9cca1f844c618 - tbh inteleon isn’t even bad like… mon can break any team w/o a water immune
:Decidueye: :scream-tail: :Inteleon: :Sandy-shocks: :slowbro: :talonflame:

Trick Room - https://pokepast.es/f0c05fd5c23234c9 - Attempting to win with this is a borderline torturous experience.
:mimikyu: :slowbro: :rabsca: :avalugg: :Ursaring: :scizor:

Thief Heracross - https://pokepast.es/e914a4806227b7c3 - thief into whatever scizor check was just a cute idea
:heracross: :scizor: :Hippowdon: :cyclizar: :slowbro: :scream-tail:

Adrenaline Orb Scizor HO - https://pokepast.es/39e1dd14f93569b8 - I’ve posted this team in other places before, but it’s still fire…
:Sandy-shocks: :scizor: :Farigiraf: :jolteon: :cyclizar: :heracross:

6 dancers. - https://pokepast.es/4fb6882b4330b0ea - Attempting to win with this is about as painful as running TR.
:whiscash: :tyranitar: :iron-thorns: :Salamence: :haxorus: :charizard:

BONUS: - https://pokepast.es/78e5ada425ed5f14 - honestly just don’t.
:unown:

It's joever..... since the metagame about to be shaken up tomorrow the teams I have don't matter anymore. I'll share the heat and fun I brought throughout the months and to archive.

https://pokepast.es/3a07625a4b3e51fd THE ELECTRODE HIMSELF. Probably my favorite I built throughout the months. Still upset I didnt have soundproof in the game I brought it in but hey you learn.

https://pokepast.es/326e73eedb5bc4eb Charge Beam Shocks Balance. People tend to sleep on this shocks set but it can be a potent late-mid game killer.

https://pokepast.es/07ebf0162263654b Specs Glaceon. This team sucks idk how i won a game with it in open.

https://pokepast.es/c3452bb4126b186f Specs Wo Chien

https://pokepast.es/88ba78c99e3f6b72 Toxicroak HO I originally built this for Danny in open. Click buttons.

https://pokepast.es/76abd778c4910d2d CB Lucario FlorgesZone. The usuals with a CB Luc.

https://pokepast.es/b0e4fae767c99e1c Expert Belt Scream Tail HO. I was watching sbs use a team with it and decided to make my own. You click buttons with this and thats about it.

https://pokepast.es/7065fc3a6c3f21b9 Salazzle Nacl Semi-Stall. I built this team just for pifs builds. He doesnt tend to use scarfers since his form of speed control is typically talon. And typical builds just fold to salazzle with tera grass coverage anyway in general. His answer would just pivoting with the Ground type or Blissey. Ig you can say I just put Nacl on the team for Talon and a status immune since he loves his chip with sand+status.

https://pokepast.es/a119d5b26c62c350 (these 3 are just drafts that never saw the light of day for good reason)
https://pokepast.es/698f2d8f4a602beb
https://pokepast.es/9edad96899138f2c

Had fun with the metagame. Hopefully myself and everyone else continue to improve.

:skeledirge::slowbro-galar::cyclizar::zapdos-galar::hippowdon::basculegion-f:
I've had decent success with this BO team. It bears some similarities to my previous one, albeit forgoing Spikes stacking for more bulk. The idea is to set up rocks, break with Basculegion and Gapdos, then clean up with Slowbro or Skeledirge, taking hits from threats as necessary. Shoutouts to Liz Angeles for helping me build this team (we made a V1 with Tornadus and Hecidueye, but I wasn't huge on it due to the team being specially frail).

This team is a throwback to ORAS OU sticky webs thus it's named TIME TRAVELING TERROR. Unfortunately power creep dropped these good old sticky web abusing mons down to UU and in the case of Hoopa , Thundurus and Bisharp down to RU. What is more , some of the original team's key members (Shuckle , Azumaril) are not available right now in the tier. However , I made sure to rebuild the team and take advantage of all of the new gimmicks , pokemon , items and moves introduced this generation.

1691090332563.png
Spidops is the Sticky Web setter - suicide lead for the team with Spikes to punish grounded teams + Taunt to block set-up and maybe even other suicide leads. It also has Circle Throw to again stop set-up + Focus Sash and Tera type Ghost to ensure that Sticky Web will go up and stay up. Max HP and Def allows it live all 10 hits from Maushold's Population Bomb at netural Atk and it also has Insomnia so it can't be put to sleep.

1691088095237.png
Hoopa is the the Scarfer of team and does excactly what it did back in ORAS with Shadow Ball + Psyshock as its spammable STABS , Focus Blast for Dark types and Trick to criple defensive mons that will swich in to tank a hit. Tera type Fighting is here to tank Dark type attacks and to give STAB to Focus Blast.

1691088197241.png
Bisharp is here take advantage of Sticky Web and the defensive boosts it gains from Eviolite to set-up with Swords Dance and spam its STABS (Night Slash , Iron Head) to obliterate anything standing in its path. It also has Sucker Punch to outspeed random Scarfers + Tera type Fairy to avoid getting OHKOed by Fighting type attacks and of course its ability Defiant to punish Defog attempts.

1691088366286.png
Thundurus-I is the team's special set-up sweeper however it is also here to outspeed and KO Flying types which aren't affected by Sticky Web with Focus Blast to KO Rock and Ice types that threaten it +Tera type Grass and Grass Knot to eliminate things like Quaqsire and other Ground types that may switch in.

1691088456546.png
Scizor is yet another set-up sweeper with SD , Bullet Punch to spam as its STAB + Close Combat to hit Steel types and Tera type Water Tera Blast to tank Fire type attacks and strike back with super effective STAB dmg. It also has Rocky Helmet to check Maushold which is pretty threatening to this team.

1691088539968.png
Zapdos-G is Azumaril's replacement because it has a good synergy with Bisharp having a resistance to Fighting and an immunity to Ground , that normally make Bisharp struggle , while Bisharp has resistancies to Ice and Flying and an immunity to Psychic that normally make Zapdos-G struggle. Other than that , Zapdos-G is another set-up sweeper this time with Bulk Up , as always it has Brave Bird and CC as its STABS + Trailblaze for mainly Quaqsire and also for it to set-up and lastly it also has Defiant to punish Defog attempts.

As Team UK's time in UUWC is over, here are some of the teams I built during July/Early August. Due to the recent tier shifts a lot of these teams are now illegal and will be categorised as such.

:meowscarada: -July Meta Teams- :meowscarada:
Triple Life Orb BO - https://pokepast.es/96ef0ab2996b62a1 - My favourite team I made for post-home meta, Braviary worked as a nice wallbreaker which could weaken spdef walls for battle bond gren in the back; with agility it could double as a nice late game wincon.

FS + CB Meow Offense - https://pokepast.es/b42f9c40f3de86b7 - Pretty standard BO here, this team uses future sight pivoting + CB strong stab damage to break down teams. Skeledirge served as a useful stop gap to setup sweepers who could abuse choice locked meow e.g. lilligant.

Anger Point Scarf Tauros - https://pokepast.es/9fe59efee86b1b6b - Kind of a gimmick team here, this team tried to abuse the omnipresence of meow in the meta by using a bulky Scarf Tauros. The basic idea was to lure in meow with Hippowdon/Slowking and bank on the opponent clicking Flower Trick. At+6 Scarf Tauros has basically no switch-ins forcing your opp to sack something in order to revenge kill. A problem with this team is that the July metagame has a bunch of fast scarfers which either speed-tied or outsped Scarf Tauros.

Lilligant Psy Terrain HO - https://pokepast.es/e72b2591ac30401e - Probably the most fun team I had laddering with ngl. Lilligant-H really appreciates the seed boosting its spdef so it can actually get a VD off, once setup nothing can really switch into its flying + fighting stab combo (except dirge lol). Haxorus is here so that the team doesn't autolose to dirge. Focus sash kleavor is pretty great here, as it is able to almost always confirm rocks.

Scarf legion + CB Meow - https://pokepast.es/7822db5a4be4b581- Similar team to an earlier CB meow BO I made but this time it features bulky Moltres and scarf basc as a cleaner.

Double crit me not sweepers - https://pokepast.es/d6a13e13b3507dba - Pretty bulky build which attempts to win via double dance diancie and CM cress, magnezone and H-arc are used to bully encore fairies.

Scarf Gapdos BO - https://pokepast.es/8e2d18e5623b66b6 - A pretty fun team I made for Autumn iirc. This team tries to use LO meow + scarf gap to breakdown teams. This team uses the GOAT max SpA mence as a intimidate pivot and a special breaker.

Spike Stack Balance ft CM Cress - https://pokepast.es/ccea16773f257818 - Kinda interesting Balance team here, team focuses on hazard stacking with spikes quag and using AV D-tail cyclizar to force switches and also beat opposing CM Cress. Bulky Basculegion serves as a spin immunity + breaker here. Breloom was added as a cheap form of "speed control".

T-spikes Spam ft CM Cress (I am a good person I swear) - https://pokepast.es/c8c0c7d733609882 - Another CM Cress team which tries to offset the passivity of CM cress via tspikes support. Team was pretty weak to meow so i threw my goat slither onto the team (also helps beat a-muk + tink).

Screens HO - https://pokepast.es/fc975e0b35ae501d- Team I made for may, team is kinda reliant on baiting knockoffs to activate WP on mold breaker basc + Articuno, but once they are activated they can agility up and sweep through a lot of teams.

:Breloom: -Legal July Meta teams- :Breloom:
- N.B., while some of these teams have been edited for August Ladder or were coincidentally decent in the current meta, most were/are still built with the broken July mons in mind-
Whole lotta Hazards Balance- https://pokepast.es/3af9f6649b090d88 - Hazard stack team ft. CB rillaboom and scarf gar cleaner, very standard stuff, was used by may/ armaan in UUWC.

Specs Enam + Breloom Offense - https://pokepast.es/6b626cc8e5441042 - The first serious post-home team I made! Specs Enam has probably been my favourite mon to play around with, without tera it is able to score OHKO's on mons such as Torn-T and Quagsire. Slowking + Cyclizar is a pretty great regen core/pivot core to get my breakers in and rotom heat is a solid scarfer for cleaning up games + disabling CM sweepers/walls with trick.

Triple regen Offense - https://pokepast.es/c20ee5a152ca1fe2 - Kind of a gimmick team here, this team basically relies on grassy terrain to support a bunch of grounded mons. Breakers are CB rillaboom + Scarf Arcanine with CM glowbro to possibly win lategame.

Screen +Grassy Terrain HO - https://pokepast.es/25fb83d4b1d3d6cd - Grassy Terrain HO team, has some cool sets like tera normal ceruledge to wall skeledirge.

Psychic Terrain HO - https://pokepast.es/ffb405edbde3e785 - Classic HO team featuring Lead Kleavor, this team is a revision of the lilligant psy terrain team i made pre-lilligant ban

Double weakness policy HO - https://pokepast.es/59ac4e49f633c7db - Revamp of a July Meta HO team I made, team centres around triggering weakness policies w/ screen support. Maushold + Scizor were added for emergency hazard control + a solid cleanup option

Specs Hoopa Ghost Spam - https://pokepast.es/38759de4c5aeb0af - Extremely Fun team which I made for my buddy Fragments for the on-going Drew tour (Most recently used by Michealderbeste in drew tour). SUPER fun team with one of my favourite ghosts Hoopa. Basic idea is to use the regen pivot core to get in Hoopa and wear down/ knock off threats until scarf gengar can clean up late game. Team was stupidly meow (dark) weak so I added the goat Slither wing as insurance.

Double eject pack + Magnezone -
https://pokepast.es/68beae53f1b62acc - Very gimmicky team which gave me some success, team basically takes advantage of H-arc luring in relatively passive pokemon which regidrago, enamouros + greninja can abuse.

New Magic Room - https://pokepast.es/5ad6c026af17190a - Even more gimmicky team, this is a revamp of a pre-home magic room team I made, pretty 1D but super fun to use, give it a try if you haven't used Magic Room HO before.

Specs Enam V2 - https://pokepast.es/30a78542e2042545 - My second attempt at a specs enam team, functions similarly to my previous version however with most pokemon substituted out. Was pretty fun to use in UUWC and on ladder, specs enam is the truth!

Glastrier + Slowking Semi-TR - https://pokepast.es/bf37459f4fcbd57a - Funny team, wasn't too successful on high ladder but it was a blast to use none the less.

Overqwil + grassy terrain balance - https://pokepast.es/d17dcd7b721257e9 - Made this team to test out overqwil and it did okay?, team is a classic hazard stack build + knock off& d-tail support with CM enam-T as a wincon.

:Tornadus-Therian: -August Meta Teams- :Tornadus-Therian:

NP torn BO -
https://pokepast.es/6b55503ee0e1a787 - Solid team I've used in tours recently incl UUWC. The team centres around Torn-t who can act as a solid breaker and or endgame sweeper, torn is enabled by fire spin hydreigon who can effectively lure and trap bulky sp def walls such as tinkaton, scream tail and gastrodon. LO scizor acts as a super reliable endgame sweeper once most of its checks have been trapped/forced to tera by the breakers on this team.

Weavile + Scarf Gapdos - https://pokepast.es/c23db2e2ff855819 - Weavile is still kind of mid even though it is arguably the fastest sweeper in the meta rn. This team tries to use solid breakers such as specs volc and zapdos galar to break down the opposing team to hopefully setup for a weavile endgame.

Stallbreaker Volc Balance - https://pokepast.es/17bd9ecb07b60fb2 - Another spike stack balance which attempts to trap and kill things with fire spin volcanion. A pretty solid team against the current meta rn but it is a tad bit gimmicky IMO.

So that's all the teams I've made this past month! This meta has been super fun to play + build in and hopefully it improves even further in future

:Gyarados::Scizor::Iron Treads::Thundurus-Therian::Zoroark-Hisui::Lycanroc-Dusk:
https://pokepast.es/f3831cec168f989d

Lead Treads HO team I've been spamming recently
- Gyarados is a big threat to sweep, as usual
- Scizor + Lycanroc-Dusk's priority moves + power are appreciated (Lycanroc's natural speed is also nice)
- Zoroark-H helps as an emergency spinblocker against treads/donphan, while also creating mindgames for the opponent with illusion, leading to the potential for free turns
- Thundurus-T just hits hard, and has solid coverage

https://pokepast.es/980c49d410504eb3

This team is pretty darn fun to use!

- TTar is a pretty fun rocker who is able to duel iron treads fairly well while also checking / forcing a tera out of skeledirge.
- Chesnaught is a pretty good spiker alongside ttar because it checks many physical pokemon with helmet and leech seed wearing them down. (leech seed > synthesis cuz chilly reception + sand = no recovery). Taunt is an interesting move that i like that can be used to stop smth like wish from alomomola, setup from gyara, spikes from gastrodon and quag, muk-a from using toxic, scizor from SD'ing up, etc
- Iron treads is a pretty good spinner ive been giving it a try lately and it sbeen pulling its weight. Knock off helps a lot vs boots spam
- Slowking is a great pivot to get in torn-t and forms an excelent regen core while also allowing future port to make thing slike ttar, torn-t, and volc very hard to switch into
- volcanion is a great skeledirge check and a great rpgoress maker on spikes esp with steam eruption burn chance and taunt making it so they get worn down

Just gonna dump some teams here since I picked up UU with help some friends. I found the tier enjoyable enough and we'll see if my interest in UU continues into the DLC.
s/o Queen of Bean TyCarter for getting me into UU
Click mons to get paste

:zapdos-galar: :meowscarada: :greninja: :donphan: :slowking: :scizor: - Gapdos VoltTurn Spam
This was the team that got me into UU, and was given to me by a friend who plays UU (but doesn't have a Smogon account so I can't shout them out :psycry:). This was also back when Meow and Gren were in the tier, both of them being very fast and dangerous Pokemon. I paired them with Spikes and another fast Spikes abuser in Scarf Gapdos to make a VoltTurn team that was very annoying to switch around. Donphan acts as a Rocker and a spin deterrent, Slowking checks Quaq, and Scizor is Scizor.

:regidrago: :magnezone: :haxorus: :salamence: :gastrodon-east: :zapdos-galar: - DragMag
I noticed that all of Magnezone, Regidrago, and Haxorus existed in UU together, so I figured this kind of team would be fun to build. Yeah, Regidrago and Haxorus are broken together. Regidrago's unboosted Outrage 2HKOs Skeledirge, and if both Tera (Dirge into Fairy, and Drago into Steel), then Tera Blast has a good chance to 2HKO. However, Haxorus ignores Unaware and rips through Skeledirge anyway. Additionally, dual Tera Steel makes it so that Fairies are never safe vs these two. The rest of the team is built around giving the Dragons as much room to breathe; AV Mag gives me a good buffer into opposing Fairy-types, Salamence is my primary Quaq check and gives me a special attacking Dragon that also doesn't care about Skeledirge's Unaware, Gastrodon checks Thundy and sets Rocks (item can also be Float Stone for better security vs Thundy), and Gapdos is the revenge killer.

:regidrago: :cyclizar: :salamence: :magnezone: :florges: :gastrodon: - QOB DragMag Fat Balance
This is probably better explained by Bean herself:

:goodra-hisui: :scream-tail: :quaquaval: :skeledirge: :gastrodon: :hydreigon: - Hoodra + Wish Scream Tail Balance
I wanted to build a team around Hoodra and Scream Tail, since they're together a durable core with good type synergy. Scream Tail can even support Hoodra by passing Wishes to keep it healthy. Skeledirge prevents this team from becoming setup fodder and gives me offensive pressure in one slot. Gastrodon is the Rocker and primary Thundurus and Quaquaval check. It also is nice that I have both Hoodra and Gastrodon to be safer vs Thundy since it gives Gastrodon the flexibility to take on Quaquaval if needed. Quaquaval is the spinner for this team, as well as my preferred Arcanine-Hisui check since it, unlike Gastrodon, has Boots on to not be completely afraid of Spikes. Finally, Scarf Hydreigon gives me speedy relief vs opposing offense. I will also shout out Queen of Bean since she was the one who gave me the Quaquaval set that helps this team be better equipped to handle Harc.

:grimmsnarl: :ursaluna: :thundurus-therian: :hydreigon: :kleavor: :quaquaval: - Screens HO
Unfortunately, when Ursaluna dropped into the tier, I abandoned all ideas of having a defensive core that could dance around a threat, since Ursaluna will just rip apart the defensive core you thought could help. Instead, I, inspired by Monoclaw, decided to build some Screens HO. Grimmsnarl is the lead since it can't get Prankster Taunted, although Klefki is another option that I'm intrigued by since it has a better defensive typing and better bulk. Bear is bear, Speed EVs are for Chesnaught. Hydreigon is the Nasty Plot breaker since it can better remove certain threats with that +2 Special Attack boost with its great coverage. Kleavor is my hazard setter and speed control in one slot, and can provide me an alternate lead if I think that Grimmsnarl can't lead for whatever reason. Quaquaval gives me a threat that can take advantage of Scizor, while also being a Poke that can force Tera out of Dirge or Gastrodon sometimes. This variant of the team has Modest Agility Thundy-T as the primary cleaner, since Thundy also resists both of Scizor's STABs, but an alternative choice on this team is Iron Defense/Calm Mind Enamorus-T, who is an absolute demon to take down with screens in play.

:rillaboom: :tinkaton: :gastrodon: :scizor: :hoopa-unbound: :tyranitar: - Double Dark VoltTurn Hazard Stack
After I inevitably got tired of playing hyper offense over and over, I wanted to use a team that was still aggressive, but had the capability of switching around at least a little bit. I think it started with me wanting to use Rillaboom before it got Grassy Glide again and inevitably returning to OU, and then the core of Tinkaton and Gastrodon formed around it (since they lay down hazards for Rillaboom's U-turn to take advantage of), and then led to me pairing Rillaboom with Scizor. Then, I thought to (don't laugh) this one old BDSP UU sample team where it abused Spikes with offensive Dark-type Pokes for immense pressure. And hey, Hoopa-Unbound recently dropped to UU and Tyranitar had risen to UU, both of whom are generally good abusers of Spikes. Why not give them a shot? This team was really fun to play and gave me a pleasant send off to post-Home SV UU.

:alomomola: :scizor: :arcanine-hisui: :thundurus-therian: :maushold: :ursaluna: - Eject Button Alomomola Normalspam Pivotspam

Since the drops are gonna shake UU up a whole lot, I thought I'd share my favourite team from this meta that I built with Trogba Trogba for justdrew's quads tour. I did a lot of laddering, won my semifinal game of drew's tour, and won in UU homefield with it.

The team is fairly self-explanatory, it maximises the amount of chances to get Ursaluna in safely by spamming pivots in Alo/Scizor/Thundurus. Alomomola also pairs nicely because into fatter teams you just wish up Ursaluna and flip out into it to have the bear forever. With no scarfer we instead go for two strong priority users, which also makes us less rough into opposing HO along with the eject bounce. This also eases prediction since you can afford to thud an attack into opposing Alomomola to scout if it's rocky helmet for Maushold, and then you get to eject out on its flip Turn and keep momentum. Scizor speed creeps adamant Ursaluna, and it really enjoys that Talonflame no longer exists meaning it can afford Tera Steel. Thundurus' moves are pretty interchangeable, like most Thundurus you only really need to keep Volt Switch (after the replay I went Psychic > Grass Knot for Breloom/Chesnaught).

This is a pretty fun voltturn I've been using in the new meta:
:rotom-wash: :kommo-o: :iron_treads: :meowscarada: :thundurus-therian: :jirachi:
https://pokepast.es/98f04e20659618d8
also, see the brand new fancy shodown team database link!!
https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/view-teams-view-9663-9663

spdef kommo-o is a fantastic glue rn, definitely underrated. pair it with a physdef washtom and you have a great defensive core for teams who don't want to give up momentum. add in meowscarada and thundurus-therian because they voltturn on everything especially with a rotom, and jirachi for some good defensive utility and some insanely flexible gameplans when you can heal up your rotom/kommo-o/thundurus.

EDIT: changed Jirachi to Play Rough instead of U-Turn for revenge killing Kommo-O

Gapdos BO, Knock off spam
:Zapdos-Galar: :Heatran: :Sandy Shocks: :Iron Treads: :Meowscarada: :Weezing-Galar:
https://pokepast.es/a0b7012eea2326a3

Members and other options:
:Zapdos-Galar: The team is built around Banded Gapdos, who abuses free switchins like nothing else. It tends to get whorned down by chip damage of his own BB recoil, rocks and potential sand, so you gotta be carefull. I chose Tera dark so its Knock off gets an enourmos power boost. Some interesting calcs would be:
252 Atk Choice Band Tera Dark Zapdos-Galar Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 248 HP / 16+ Def Skeledirge: 414-488 (100.7 - 118.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Choice Band Tera Dark Zapdos-Galar Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Jirachi: 308-366 (90.3 - 107.3%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
Tera Dark also makes you immune to prankster shenadigans like Twave Klefki, if it happens to find a place on the opposing team.
What I also like is Tera flying. This will make Drill peck a far more safer option and Brave bird a nuke.

:Heatran: Made it phydef for Talon and Meow. I also gave him tera blast to smack Gastrodon, Quag, Rotom-W etc. 76 Speed is chosen to outspeed 0 speed Rotom-W. I personally prefer Flash fire but I see uses for flame body especially for Meow. That can also punish irritating knock off spam.

:Sandy Shocks: Thats the revenge killer on this team. It helps a ton against rain. If you like to predict and you gave a good day, you can completely f*ck over opposing offense teams.

:Iron Treads: Hes the hazard control on this team. Spin, rocks, potential spinblock, item removal, good speed. What do you need more in life? You can try to add Volt switch if youd like to have some more pivot moves for Gapdos and provide Heatran the Rocks setter role. (Treads also has the best nickname here)

:Meowscarada: Fast pivot with spikes, to bring on more preassure especially with the many knock off users on that team. You can toy around with his moveset a lot. Play rought hits Hydreigon and Kommo-o, Sucker is a great priority, Taunt is great utility etc. It threatens out a lot with frower trick and capitalizes on switch ins with U turn, so i would never replace any of those moves. Dealing with iron defense Garg is a great trait as well.

:Weezing-Galar: That mon switches into a lot. Thats why i made it the second hazard remover so if I am in a position in which Treads cant do both things, then weezing helps in the removal department. It deals with Garchomp, Gapdos, Meow and tera fairy users. You also should toy with a lot of different stuff. I personally always use Flame thrower but Dazzling Gleem, Pain split, Haze and even Toxic bring in so much value. If you want to feel more secure against Garg, I would recommend putting Covert Cloak.

You can experiment a lot with this team, so feel free to twist it to your likings. Have fun on the ladder :)

https://pokepast.es/2b3bec29485860bc

:hydreigon: is on this team because I wanted to try it out, well its a standard :choice specs: set with FC > u-turn to hit fairies such as tera dirge, tera gastrodon, and be able to midground garg with its tera fairy as well. This team tries to support it as best as possible.

:gastrodon-east: spread allows it to live 4 hit scale shot and a eq at +2 which allows it to revenge kill or to get another hit in. This set is tera fairy to be able to scout hydreigon on what it wants to do as it can tank a specs dark pulse and fire back with an ice beam as well to boot. Tera fairy also gives it several good MU"s in being able to take on fighting attacks from iron hands, close combat zapdos-g, phys def kommo-o, breloom as it can allow you to get another attack in. This is almost the MVP of the team

:garganacl: use is mainly to either late game clean with tera water, or to be able to come early game and throw salt cure around chipping down foes like torn-t, amoonguss, donphan, treads, mandi, shocks, and other mons for a late game sweep. Tera water I like for ceruledge cc, SD scizor in which u can challenge it with ID, being able to take on DD mence, and more.

:skeledirge: is a funny pokemon because ive never seen a person use tera fairy + tera blast so far.. this allows it to check and not be setup fother for mence, hydreigon, kommo-o, have a way to threaten hoopa, quav, and zapdos-g that can otherwise nuke it. This spread also gives it a 2nd jumpoint and 8 speed allows it to duel itself better and outspeed pokemon trying to creep on it

:tornadus-therian: is a great pokemon! with knock off and u-turn it can force a lot of progress by removing things such as garg lefties, gastro's item, alo boots or helmet, heatran lefties, maybe mandibuzz's boots, rotom-w lefties or other pokemon who may try to switch into it. With its great speed and typing it allows me to pivot into meowscarada flower trick and see what i should do from there. This is also the fastest pokemon on the team aside from booster treads and I chose bleakwind storm > hurricane because it allows a speed drop on many crucicial pokemon like garchomp trying to boost, what about a scarfer like hydreigon, or maybe even slow down smth like torn-t, meow, gengar, scarf hoopa to be slower than hydreigon

:iron treads: is an amazing utility. This is literally excadrill and provides a lot for the team. It sets up rocks, can spin and be able to revenge kill a lot of pokemon thanks to :booster energy: (it used to be lefties but i think booster is better). I dont think knock is neccessary since I feel ice spinner is more useful on this slot to be able to KO chomp or threaten it to make sure its not free setup

:Kommo-o: :Moltres-Galar: :Meowscarada: :Grimmsnarl: :Garchomp: :Azumarill:

Clangorous Soul Kommo-o + BD Azu Screens Offense

This is a team I cooked up on the first day of shifts, and it has been pretty fun to pilot. With screens support, Kommo-o finds many opportunities to set up, and it has very few checks once it does. Soundproof in my opinion is the best ability for Kommo-o, as it becomes the team's best check against opposing Clangorous Soul Kommo-o, and it owns Skeledirge. I run Drain Punch specifically for the Heatran match-up, which can be a pain otherwise. Tera Normal +2 Boomburst is honestly unfair lol, and I've gotten many sweeps with it. Belly Drum Azu also packs a punch, as well as giving the team some powerful priority (especially with Tera Water).

Loaded Dice Garchomp is also a menace, and I run Tera Fire on it to avoid burns from mons like Skeledirge and Rotom-Wash (and also to avoid being sniped by Scarf Meowscarada). I runs Iron Head to handle the occasional Weezing-Galar + any fairies/fairy tera's I encounter. Moltres-Galar is a natural fit on any screens offense, and I use a double dance set to take advantage of the extra turns. I run Sitrus Berry on it to trigger Berserk more than once.

The Meowscarada set is the sample lead set, which does its job of keeping hazards off while applying a layer of spikes on your opponent's side. The Grimmsnarl EV spread ensures that it can take a Bullet Punch from CB Sciz at full, while also being able to take a Flash Cannon from Heatran at full. I run Taunt on it as well to prevent hazards/set-up from mons like Garchomp and Kommo-o. Spirit Break is there for at least some damage + weaking some opponents to allow teammates to set up.

Annoying Mons:

Unawares: Clodsire is annoying as it bodies Kommo-o. Skeledirge can be a pain, but it's usually forced to tera and be brute forced. Quagsire is a mon I rarely see, but similar to Skeledirge, it can be a pain.

Defog Mandibuzz:

Ugh. Not being able to taunt it with Grimmsnarl sucks, although it's not the end of the world.

All right, folks, I've been having a lot of fun with this team for the last little bit. I peaked at ~1670 with it and have had no trouble staying in the 1500s to low 1600s despite being a very streaky player and running a couple of pretty non-standard selections (which is why I'm posting it here and not in Sample Teams). Figured I'd share the full team so other folks can give it a shot and tell me if I'm just crazy or if these things actually work. I bring you Specs Treads VoltTurn Offense

:iron-treads: - :alomomola: - :lokix: - :ogerpon: - :iron-hands: - :braviary-hisui:

The team is built around a VoltTurn core of Specs Treads, Helmet 'Mola, Boots Lokix, and Spikes Ogerpon. You'll spend a lot of the game pivoting between those four, wearing down opposing 'mons and looking for openings for Braviary-H to nab KOs or Iron Hands to sweep, with Hands also fulfilling its role as a Trade Machine that would make Sachin Gupta envious. Here's a more detailed breakdown:

:sv/iron-treads:
Specs Treads wasn't what this team was built around, but it has slotted in perfectly since I started mucking with it. I posted about this set in the metagame thread a few days ago, and it's surprisingly not just a meme. The selling points here are 1) A Volt Switch that's actually worth a damn and 2) Throwing off expectations and traditional counterplay.

252 SpA + Specs brings your effective special attack up to 364, i.e. ~12% higher than 252 Atk Treads' physical attack, offsetting the slightly lower BP of Earth Power vs EQ. What this means is that Specs Treads hits almost identically as hard as standard Treads while dealing a lot more damage with Volt Switch and not having to fear Wisp as your tradeoffs for getting locked into your move selection. More often than not, that's been a worthwhile exchange for me.

Tera Dragon turns your Fire and Water weaknesses into resists while removing weaknesses to Ground and Fighting and retaining an Electric resistance. This reduces the amount of prediction you need to make around Heatran, for instance, and also lets you blast your way through rain teams.

Spin is just a nice bit of added utility that takes advantage of Treads' defensive typing to find opportunities to clear hazards for its teammates.

:sv/alomomola:
There's nothing revolutionary about Helmet 'Mola, but it's absolutely the straw that stirs the drink for this team. You'll spend a lot of time pivoting into it and back out to the appropriate threat, spreading Helmet chip on the way. Whirlpool is there to add some guaranteed damage (especially in tandem with Protect) and to help secure the advantage by controlling what you're pivoting into. Tera Grass is here to remove weaknesses to Water and Grass and add a Ground resist to the team, but, honestly, this probably could/should be Tera Dragon, too, now that Garchomp isn't in the tier anymore. SpDef EVs are to survive 252 SpA Sandy Shocks Thunderbolt in case you ever need to.

:sv/lokix:
Knock was such a boon for Lokix. STAB Tinted Lens KnockTurn is just an amazing way to make progress even when it's not in position to pick something off with its priority. Tera Dark over Tera Bug to remove the Rocks weakness in the case that Boots get knocked off and because Adaptability Knock + Sucker is more reliably useful than Adaptability First Impression (waaaay more 4x Bug Resists running around than 4x Dark Resists).

:sv/ogerpon:
Ogerpon offers a lot of role compression to this team: It's your best answer to :rotom-wash: and :sandy-shocks:. Encore mucks with setup sweepers and/or creates opportunities to get Spikes up or force a switch that you can u-turn on for momentum. Embodied Aspect offers the option of speed control when Lokix isn't an option without committing to a Scarfer.

:sv/iron-hands:
Depending on the MU, Iron Hands is on the team to either trade with an offensive threat you're out of position to manage in a better way or to set up and make holes. Hands is at its best when it can generate a free turn to get in an SD so it can use neutral +2 Drain Punches to keep itself going. Lum is this set's way of gaining that advantage without committing to tera. Drain Punch + Ice Punch + EQ is my preferred move combo because it just hits so many things, and as long as you can get to +2, there aren't a lot of cases where you miss Electric STAB. Tera Ground has no overlapping weaknesses with your base typing, which is often enough to keep Iron Hands in business, while maintaining a rocks resistance and giving EQ some serious oomph.

:sv/braviary-hisui:
Hisuian Braviary might be a niche pick, but it's a niche pick that puts in work, pretty much soloing certain types of fat teams. I've posted about it a couple of times, but in short, it only needs Psychic and Air Slash to 2HKO pretty much anything not named Heatran, Jirachi, or Tinkaton. Bring it in on Amoonguss, Clodsire, Chesnaught, GWeezing, or plenty of other slower threats and pop behind a sub and there's a good chance the other team will be down a `mon in short order. Even if there's not an easy `mon to come in on, Braviary has juuust enough bulk to stare down pretty much any one hit that isn't SE STAB -- a max-attack Quaquaval Knock Off (or +1 Aqua Step) or Scarf Gapdos Brave Bird, for instance -- and take down the threat, possibly coming back to haunt more dreams with Wish support from 'mola. Tera Flying because it's a better defensive type than Psychic and nothing is immune to Flying, making it safer to spam.

Threats:
DDers in general, and Salamence in particular: If you don't get the pivot into Ogerpon right, and/or if Ogerpon doesn't have the option to Tera into Encore, DD Salamence/Haxorus and even Gyarados and Tyranitar can quickly get overwhelming. Other fast `mons can be handled by chipping them down with `Mola/Hands/Treads and picking them off with Lokix, but that stops being an option when you just die without picking up the chip >_<.

Breloom: Possibly the best remaining reason for me to keep Tera Grass on `mola, since there isn't any great switch-in on the team. Iron Hands just gets Spored before it can do anything. Ogerpon doesn't want to eat an attack on a predicted Spore, and everything else is weak to some combination of Mach Punch, Bullet Seed, and Rock Tomb. I've also run into a couple of Poison Heal SubPunch sets that were surprisingly hard to play around.

Lilligant-H: Similarly to Breloom, it hits too hard and/or carries coverage for everything on the team. Similarly to the DDers, the boosted attack and speed help it avoid any chipping strategies with the added pain that it's also boosting its defense at the same time. If it can get a Victory Dance off unimpeded, you're basically just praying for a Hustle miss so you have two shots at it with Lokix.

Classic example of the VoltTurn core controlling tempo. Hands is used to scout the opposing Ogerpon, Tera Dragon Treads manages Band Ogerpon, Crawdaunt, Mamoswine, and Heatran

Playing defense through 'mola and offense through Brav. Two bad misplays on this one: Going Treads instead of Ogerpon on turn 30 and then clicking Earth Power instead of Volt Switch on a potential tera on turn 31. 'Mola's bulk, Encore Ogerpon, and Brav's fire power combine to squeak out a win I probably didn't deserve. Also, if I just say "$#%* it, we ball" and click Tera Flying on Turn 13, it probably would have been game:

Brav tearing through fat:

Lum Hands gives me the (over)-confidence to set up in Sinistcha's face. VoltTurn goes brrrr.

Ogerpon's Speed Control absolutely saves my bacon against multiple speed boosting threats:

A rematch demonstrates how weak I am to fast threats that can break `Mola and don't fear Ogerpon when booster Jugulis leads me to overcommit my tera on Iron Hands, letting Lilligant-H sweep:

Team Description:

This is the team Ive been rocking on ladder to reach 1600. This team is slither wing + volt turn which plays around the fact that slither wing kinda gets owned by weezing-g, protect, and many fighting resists on a team such as salamence + slowking allow you to play easily into it but this is why there are 5 other members on the team instead of just solo WING

:slither wing: The shining member of the team... slither wing provides great options to revenge opponents via first impression and also has a nuclear CC that can dent a lot of teams esp with rocks up and if you got a knock off or lured pokemon like salamence, noivern, or weezing-g. Tera fighting is to give the extra push needed against balance teams that rely on pure bulk or a more specially bulky wall like tera fairy slowking, clodsire, torn-t, noivern, and moltres.

Next member of the show is none other than :heatran:! Offensive heatran is a great mon on the team and pairs well with slither wing especially against pokemon like salamence, noivern, weezing-g, jirachi, and flying type moves such as brave bird from zapdos-g. Offensive heatran is a very big breaker on the team as with tera blast + fairy it can break past walls like salamence, quaquaval, mandibuzz, hydreigon, and can make you an excelent last resort into many pokemon like CB weavile clicking knock off, or banded meow, even things like mach punch from conk, etc.

The 3rd member is non other than :sandy shocks:! Sandy shocks is amazing on the team and just what you would want from such a pokemon! Sandy shocks can use its typing to bully pokemon like skeledirge, weezing-g, salamence (with tera blast), alomomola, and tera slowbro who want to counter slither wing and you can volt turn around forcing progress! Sandy shocks with rocks is an odd pokemon and I wished it can have spikes but this will do because it gets many opportunities and doesnt let spinners like cyclizar, iron treads, donphan, and quaq in freely and can even beat them if it predictions right with its tera.

4th member is booster energy :iron treads:, it helps the team with its speed control against HO teams whcih can be a pain sometimes but this helps us to come out on top by revenging big threads like DD mence, SD weavile, NP torn-t, NP thundy-t, booster sandy shocks, +1 quaq, and more. This allows us to have hazard removal and with knock and spinner it can threaten most pokemon and get enough turns to often spin, esp since it poses a very big threat to teams since its offensive and can apply a lot of pressure if they guess wrong and eat an EQ. With thundy-t and iron treads being our knock off users it allows the team to focus on keeping up pressure with hazard damage, and getting free turns from them not having their precious lefties or helmet to chip things like slither wing and iron treads trying to spin.

You cannot guess what the 5th member can be! It is :thundurus-therian: This member provides the 2nd electric type, the 2nd electric immunity, and our only ground immune pokemon on the team. With this we can continue to keep up a lot of pressure and with double electrics the goal is to overload the counters like amoonguss, clodsire, iron treads, sp. def hippo, gastrodon, and others. Thundy-t can also be a nuclear late game sweeper with tera blast flying allowing us to blow past counters or would be checks like meow, amoonguss, zarude, and sinistcha.

The final member of the team is :slowking:. Slowking allows the team to have a defensive pokemon to lean on when things get tough, when something like quaq comes in you want somebody you can rely on, somebody great like slowking who can eat those hits, setup future sight, and pivot out or just to pivot out to continue your pressure! Slowking scald can also be a great asset with chipping down things like alomomola, salamence, spreading burns onto pokemon who may not want to eat them (like rotom-w, amoonguss, torn-t, and the best outcome is if its a physical attacker like weavile, meow, hoopa, etc). Tera electric gives you counterplay against torn-t rain which is a huge thing that has taken ladder by storm and also helps counter thundy-t and torn-t with a single adjustment

Threat List:

:meowscarada: esp band cna be a pain but with that you can play around it with hazards, flame body heatran and you can even tera fairy as a last resort, other things like tera fairy slowking can be used to wall it in addition to heatran, booster treads cna be used to pressure it but in general its a hard mon to face but its very doable since every mon doesnt exactly let it in freely.

:breloom: its a pain becase wing is 1 point slower and jolly loom gets a spore off and starts firing off buttons... your best bet is to switch to heatran since bullet seed is pretty free -> CC or mach punch (often they dont care cc if they have spore) but then you can choose if you want to tera or just attack them since you live a mach punch regardless

:zarude: Esp tera fairy is annoying asf to play around. BU can setup on things like slowking, while with a tera it just turns the MU on its head and your counterplay is to not let it do that. Its an unpopular pokemon (at least on ladder) but you can pressure it with the use of forcing out their tera in some other place. Without tera this MU is very doable

:tornadus-therian: Very rough with specs on rain teams... but ive changed slowking to be tera electric to give a way out against such teams and regular torn-t can be pressured by the double electric core and if its focus blast then slowking, thundy-t, and sandy shocks can deal with it and if its grass knot or then heatran can pressure it

Struggles:

BU ursaluna with tera is a huge pain because of tera ice being needed to break through it and while tera fairy heatran can be used. often times its a pain to deal with esp if it finds setup or holds it - https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9uu-1974574875-dbkllzxz7cmoo3pn4viy82af46i5u1gpw

Rain has caused the adjustment of tera electric slowking on my team - https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9uu-1974565127-0erb0okwrc5g5e1f77qoasi0rbwnip3pw
and https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9uu-1974569429-rnska0zfumb0o9ikc4as7bfqol00f07pw crawdaunt rain is very very bad because slowking is the main counter and flip turns often can get it in which makes it very very hard to play
