:ss/Suicune: :ss/Tapu-Koko: :ss/Gliscor: :ss/Corviknight: :ss/Victini: :ss/Hydreigon:

We built around CM Suicune today, a setup sweeper that takes advantage of its ability, Pressure, to stall out foes. It's VinCune, but with Rest > Protect, which lets it heal off repeated hits a lot quicker, as well as get rid of debilitating status. We opted for CM Tapu Koko to go alongside it, as Koko can deal with bulky Water-types that give Suicune trouble, notably Toxapex and Tapu Fini. Suicune can then deal with Ground-types like Landorus and Gliscor, which aids Koko as a wincon. Corviknight is our defogger, originally being a Ferrothorn, but we opted for this to make or Kartana matchup somewhat workable. Victini serves as speed control and a third pivoting option that gives Suicune and Koko more opportunities to throw off attacks or setup. Lastly, Hydreigon gives us a crucial Dark resist, easing our matchup vs Ash Greninja, as well as being appreciative of Koko dealing with Tapu Fini and the like.

Submissions are now open for the new week!

Lets do Demon-D, this thing takes everything. Just pair it with a weav check, hazard staking and go brrr.
This one again

Hailtozolt :arctozolt: :heavy-duty boots:

Arctozolt @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Slush Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe OR 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature / Naive Nature
- Bolt Beak
- Icicle Crash / Freeze Dry
- Low Kick / Stomping Tantrum
- Substitute

Spread Notes: We have icicle crash over blizzard as an option between freeze dry here because realistically you are the only physical wall you are hitting harder with blizzard here is buzzwole, to which blizzard doesn't even have a 60% chance 2HKO if the buzzwole is running heavy-duty boots, and icicle crash solves the much more shaky MU against Mtias since you are able to 2HKO it reliably while allowing it fish for flinches against gastrodon, eventually landing the 3HKO(and both are much more common than buzzwole). Stomping Tantrum is listed as it could allow us to beat the funny sucker punch mega mawile MU as without it arctozolt is one predict away from being sent to oblivion even with a substitute up(tho zone solves that problem but whatever it's mega mawile so it should still be considered if ferro and scizor are taken care of)

It's about time hail make a proper return, as this thing tears apart almost everything sitting in the S and A tier when sitting behind a substitute while ice cube's brother are making their way down. Be it Heatran, Landorus-t, Washtom, Zapdos, you name it. What differenciates it from weavile is it's unmatched speed under hail, outspeeding the fastest non scarfers such as mega lopunny, tapu koko etc. Typing combination is also an important trait, as bolt beam as STAB allows it thrash bulky waters without needing SD, especially tapu fini. It's also able to run HDB more reliably, since it doesn't really need to boost up as Bolt beak is just such a stupid move, and making it very similar to the band set, requiring prediction. However, the last trick up on it's sleeve is substitute, which negates the prediction part and makes it a menace for so much walls to deal with.

Teammates: Alolan Ninetails is mandatory(i won't provide the set, let the builders be creative) to setup the hail that arctozolt needs to be such a terryfying wallbreaker/sweeper in the first place. Magnezone support is also appreciated as it doesn't have to take half of it's health kicking at ferrothorn's iron barbs, predicting against mega scizor and not let it getrevenge killed by scarf kartana when a substitute is not up.

Read the post, he's asking for a team of 5 Pokemon that can effectively put Charizard X or Charizard Y in the 6th slot.
i'm blind lol mb it was late when i made that post so my mind wasn't clear

Non specs Koko needs 4 in def to survive glisc eq btw.

Realistically you are not having a chance to kill glisc with koko since even +1 gleam rarely deals over 50%, without even considering unboosted. So it wouldn't think that would matter.

:sm/serperior:
Serperior @ Waterium Z
Hasty Nature
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 56 Atk / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
- Leaf Storm
- Hidden Power Fire
- Aqua Tail
- Glare

Why should use this set?
The main point of this set is to lure heatran and still keep hp fire because usually when people want to lure heatran using serperior, they will be using hp ground which mean you cant use hp fire anymore. This set also get benefit from intimidate landorus. You also can get some good damage on fire type in the tier such as volcarona, victini, blaziken and blacephalon. You can use this set in hyper offense team and bulky offense team.

Important calc
No intimidate :
56 Atk Serperior Aqua Tail vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 104-124 (26.9 - 32.1%) -- 43.4% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
56 Atk Serperior Hydro Vortex (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 204-240 (52.8 - 62.1%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

After intimidate :
+1 56 Atk Serperior Hydro Vortex (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 304-358 (78.7 - 92.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 56 Atk Serperior Aqua Tail vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 158-186 (40.9 - 48.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

:ss/Serperior: :ss/Volcarona: :ss/Rotom-Wash: :ss/Scizor-Mega: :ss/Landorus-Therian: :ss/Clefable:

We built around this demon of a Serperior set; uses Z-Aqua Tail to lure Heatran, which opens up win conditions like Scizor and Volcarona. Scizor gives us a way to deal with Kartana and Kyurem more reliably, since Volcarona is prone to being worn down with a lack of Roost. Rotom-W provides a sturdy Fire resist and a hazard removal + pivot, greatly appreciated by the first two frailer Pokemon. Landorus gives us speed control, and a Ground- and Electric-immunity. Clefable provides rocks and can give one of our breakers a second chance, mostly the first two.

Hey quick question why was there no announcement/voting?

:manectric-mega: :tapu-koko:

Anw I posted this to the nd heat thread but rising voltage mmane + terrain extender koko is so fucking insane, one could even call it fucking insane. Admittedly RV doesn't always hit as hard as you'd think however decent chip allows you to tear everything apart. But smth like this also needs a lot of support, spikes to punish switches, good speed control so you don't lose to setup sweepers/scarfers, and a ground immunity in addition to the normal parts of a good defensive core.

Tapu Koko @ Terrain Extender
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

Garchomp-Mega @ Garchompite :Garchompite:
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 80 SpA / 68 SpD / 108 Spe OR 252 Atk / 68 SpD / 188 Spe
Naive / Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Scale Shot
- Fire Blast / Fire Fang
- Swords Dance

Mega Garchomp's astronomical attack stat combined with unresisted coverage and Swords Dance, make it a nearly unstoppable wallbreaker. Basically, Garchomp will switch in whenever possible and setup a Swords Dance. Once boosted, to further raise it's speed it uses Scale Shot and becomes a setup sweeper within two turns. As long as Weavile is fainted, Garchomp is really likely to claim a life.

First EV spread: Maximizes physical attack, survives a Choice Scarf Tapu Lele's Moonblast, outpaces Mega Lopunny after a Scale Shot, and dumped into special attack.
Second EV spread: Maximizes, physical attack, survives a Choice Scarf Tapu Lele's Moonblast, and dumped into speed.

Bandbuzz+fs is hard to switch into unless you have protect. Slowking>slowbro since buzz is very weak on the spdef side so it can tank hits from the likes of clefable, lele, heatran, water moves from greninja etc. This set covers a lot besides fairies but eq/cc+fs should handle those well.

:ss/Buzzwole: :ss/Slowking: :ss/Gliscor: :ss/Ferrothorn: :ss/Latias-Mega: :ss/Tapu-Fini:

Today we built around Choice Band Buzzwole and Future Sight Slowking; a potent combination that takes advantage of Future Sight forcing in Dark-, Steel-, or Fairy-types in order to adequately switch into Buzzwole and Future Sight. Buzzwole can beat chipped Fairy-types like Clefable with a Close Combat/Earthquake into Future Sight, making it much harder to check. Gliscor provided us with a Ground-type pivot and entry hazard setter. Ferrothron gives us Kyurem counterplay (who still beats us if HP Fire/Icium Z, but that matchup was almost impossible to "fix" with the structure we were going for), another entry hazard setter to support Buzzwole, and is an all-important Weavile answer. Because our Mega Charizard Y matchup was lacking, we went for Mega Latias in the next slot. It's also a wincon that appreciates Fairy- and Dark-types being removed. Tapu Fini gives us speed control and compresses hazard removal to let Gliscor and Ferrothorn run other moves.

Submissions are open for the new week!
