Since I don't have a warstory from the tournament, I'll post one I wrote a few days before the tournament! So I was on GameFAQs looking for a battle and saw some guy bragging about a 66-1 record. I'm always up for playing good people so I decided to give it a whirl!

Rules
6 v 6 LV100 Set Singles
Sleep Clause
No Ubers
"etc." (which I took to assume meant Species Clause and No Double Team, Minimize, or OHKO moves)

Firestorm

EeveeTrainer

Firestorm sent out Butterfree.
EeveeTrainer sent out Hippowdon.
Hippowdon's Sandstream caused a Sandstorm.

I freakin' hate sand. Really. It does ruin my day quite a bit. Anyway, the Hippo things usually Stealth Rock asap which my team hates even more than Sand (look at those pics and notice the SR weakness with no spinner!) so I try to put it to sleep right away.

EeveeTrainer withdrew Hippowdon.
EeveeTrainer sent out Blissey.
Butterfree used Sleep Powder!
Blissey fell asleep.
The sandstorm rages.
Blissey heals a little HP with its leftovers.
(Butterfree - 94%)

Oh. So he knows that the only thing that Butterfree can do is put things to sleep. Well, I could now gamble on him being Natural Cure (pretty obvious he is) or clear out the damn sand. I decided to go with the latter.

EeveeTrainer withdrew Blissey.
EeveeTrainer sent out Cresselia.
Butterfree used Sunny Day!
The sunlight turned harsh.

Hm... Chances of ResTalker? High. Screw it, I'll get the heck outta here.

EeveeTrainer withdrew Cresselia
EeveeTrainer sent out Tyranitar.
Tyranitar's Sandstream caused a sandstorm.
Butterfree used U-Turn!
It's super effective!
(30% Damage)
Butterfree returned to Firestorm.
Firestorm sent out Dragonite.
The sandstorm blasts...
(Dragonite - 94%)

Two sandstreamers? Damn. Well, I could either Earthquake or Dragon Dance if he switches. Seeing as he could OHKO me back with Stone Edge, I decided not to risk a DD.

Dragonite used Earthquake!
It's super effective!
(70% Damage)
Tyranitar fainted.
The sandstorm rages.
(Dragonite - 88%)
EeveeTrainer sent out Cresselia

6 - 5 Firestorm

It was a good choice. Maybe he expected me to DD, but he stayed in. Now it's Cresselia. Ice Beam m i rite?

Firestorm withdrew Dragonite.
Firestorm sent out Umbreon.
Cresselia used Ice Beam!
(10% Damage)
The sandstorm rages.
Umbreon recovered a little HP with its leftovers.
Cresselia recovered a little HP with its leftovers.

ya i wuz rite. Well, now I'm confused as to what to do next. Often I Baton Pass right away as it sets me up for next turn (I see who they switch to, I switch to a counter). This time I just felt like Mean Looking.

EeveeTrainer withdrew Cresselia.
EeveeTrainer sent out Skarmory.
Umbreon used Mean Look!
The sandstorm rages.
Umbreon recovered a little HP with its leftovers.

Oohhhh crap. Stealth Rock? Oh noes. That's not what I need. Well, let's hit the panic button.

Firestorm withdrew Umbreon.
Firestorm sent out Charizard.
Skarmory used Whirlwind!
Butterfree was dragged out!
The sandstorm rages.
(Butterfree - 88%)

Yay! No Stealth Rock! Not only that, he brings out who I want! Time to see if I can set up. Not completely sure on the next turn, but this is what I think it was.

EeveeTrainer withdrew Skarmory.
EeveeTrainer sent out Cresselia.
Butterfree used Sunny Day!
The sunlight turned harsh.
The sunlight is strong.

Oh screw this thing. I don't care if it's Sleep Talking anymore. 33% chance is good enough for a set up right now, I'll take it.

Butterfree used Sleep Powder!
Cresselia fell asleep.
Cresselia is sleeping...
Cresselia used Sleep Talk!
Cresselia used Ice Beam!
It's super effective!
(63% Damage)
The sunlight is strong.

How the hell is Butterfree still alive. It has a 4 HP IV and 13 SpDef IV. Ok, after getting over my shock, I thought I'd go through with my plan. Would have been much less risky if it had died, but oh well. If Ice Beam only did 63% to Butterfree, then my next guy shouldn't mind too much.

Butterfree used U-Turn!
It's super effective!
(20% damage)
Butterfree returned to Firestorm.
Firestorm sent out Charizard.
Cresselia is sleeping...
Cresselia used Sleep Talk!
Cresselia used Rest!
But Cresselia is already asleep!
The sunlight is strong.
Cresselia recovered a little HP with its leftovers.
(Cresselia - 86%)

Alriiight! Best case scenario there. Well, let's see what he does.

EeveeTrainer withdrew Cresselia.
EeveeTrainer sent out Blissey.
Charizard used Substitute!
The sunlight is strong.
(Charizard - 75%)

Hey guys! Do you know what's coming next? I know what's coming next! If you don't know what's coming next, then pay attention because once Charizard uses substitute, it's time to hit the panic button! (or bring out your damn Ice Shard, Extremespeed, etc)

Charizard used Belly Drum!
Charizard cuts its HP in half to maximize its attack.
Charizard's Salac Berry boosted its speed.
Blissey used Seismic Toss!
Charizard's substitute took the damage.
Charizard's substitute broke!
The sunlight is strong.
(Charizard - 25%)

Teehee. Bellyzard is set up and ready to go! My work has paid off.

EeveeTrainer withdrew Blissey.
EeveeTrainer sent out Skarmory.
Charizard used Fire Punch!
It's super effective!
(100% damage)
Skarmory fainted!
The sunlight faded.
EeveeTrainer sent out Hippowdon.
Hippowdon's Sandstream caused a sandstorm!

6 - 4 Firestorm

That was... unexpected. Bye Skarmory. But now that stupid hippo is back with his timebomb sandstorm. Ok. I shouldn't need more than 5 turns anyway, I hope.

Charizard used Fire Punch!
(100% Damage)
Hippowdon fainted!
The sandstorm rages.
EeveeTrainer sent out Cresselia.
(Charizard - 19%)

6 - 3 Firestorm

Ok. I now have 4 turns before I die. 3 Pokemon left. Seeing as I'm sure Cresselia doesn't have Protect (which would destroy me), I assume he has no counter left.

Charizard used Fire Punch!
(86% Damage)
Cresselia fainted!
The sandstorm rages.
EeveeTrainer sent out Starmie.
(Charizard - 13% HP)

6 - 2 Firestorm

Yay! Cresselia down. 3 turns to my death. 2 turns to finish the job. Now, PLEASE don't have Scarf.

Charizard used Fire Punch!
It's not very effective...
(100% Damage)
Starmie fainted!
The sandstor... OH SHIT PLOT TWIST

Yeah. So, it seems that the way you reach a 71-1 record is to disconnect when you're about to lose! Quite genius actually. I was then accused of hacking my Charizard and a nice little spat about that happened where he started bashing my poor little Butterfree too.

Props
- Butterfree for:
-- Keeping him on the defensive the entire match (I saw one attack?)
-- Setting up Tyranitar and Cresselia for KOs that would not have happened otherwise
-- Ridding me of the SandBomb and leading into the big sweep at the end
- Charizard for being typical awesome Bellyzard <3
- Dragonite for getting rid of what turned out to be the only thing that wouldn't have died to Charizard

Slops
- Raichu and Milotic never came out, but I <3 them all the same
- EeveeTrainer for his plot twist and hypocrisy

Makes me wanna keep making my Bellyzard team. Also good use of Butterfree there...im glad to see something new for once work really well.

EDIT: Sorry, I was confused by the way you put your name on there. Anyway, bellyzard apparently still can do his thing. lol @ ET. Pretty good story, nice "plot twist"

Before I continue reading, how did this happen if you were playing Set Singles and not Shift?
By Set I mean it sets us to LV100.

Shift/Set is a single-player thing where you have to keep your Pokemon in after you kill something. That's how all multiplayer games are done, but you can still switch (and waste a turn) at any time.

Normally warstories are supposed to be about close battles to entertain the readers. This was more of a 6-0 and I can't really tell what happened during the end of it. Am I supposed to feel sorry for you losing, be confused, or entertained? Right now I'm just confused.
It was close for a while, and it's meant to entertain. But if you're confused, that's fine too =) And, err, I didn't lose so you probably shouldn't feel sorry for me? o_o;

Good warstory, haha. I remember that team, mad props for using Butterfree and Charizard.

ah, yes, typical ET. the times he lost to me on nb, he kicked me so im not suprised. i like this though since it was nice seeing butterfree and zard beating a bunch of standards. kudos to you.

Why didn't he disconnect before he lost whatever previous match he lost in?
Maybe he wanted people to think, "I can lose!"

Question: How did Skarmory switch out if it was Mean Looked? Is there a turn-limit on Mean Look? Or is it because Umbreon did not Baton Pass out?

This is an excellent warstory. Its cool to see a non standard team around blissey ect win against a standrad team

Whirlwind would have removed Mean Look. I didn't Baton Pass for fear of Stealth Rock. Skarmory usually goes first against Umbreon.

Even though it wasn't a close match per se and never even ended, Butterfree and Charizard beating up a team of standards makes up for it easily. Good job.

Great battle and kudos for using Bellyzard. (and Butterfree) Now I'm thinking about trying out my own Bellyzard team lol. And I'm assuming this was ET from Smogon?

EeveeTrainer?

the only EeveeTrainer I know lives here in Arizona and goes to my school...(well, by "goes" i mean he comes like once a week)
he also sometimes goes by the name of TK.

I'm not sure if he's the same one though, but he is the type who would disconnect if losing, I'll have to ask him.

Lol when I first looked at the teams I thought to myself, "Wow this guy(You, not ET) probably lost really bad." You can imagine my shock when I saw Butterfree actually being useful and Bellyzard getting set up and sweeping his team.

It's this guy: http://www.smogon.com/forums/member.php?u=186

I found out his Smogon username was EeveeTrainer so decided to go with that instead of "igarvey", which is his GameFAQs username.

When your team was loading, I was like "cool, Butterfree!" Cool story though I haven't read all of it yet.

EDIT: Nice match. Typical ET from what I've heard though.

Excellent win. Excellent team. It's great to see someone use Butterfree and Charizard to sweep and win against a bunch of standards. Bellyzard is a beast!!! Beware the lizard
