Bleh. This is a special request from maniaclyracist.

I was sitting at the computer, trying to manage many things at once. I ran around the place, running between Marriland and here asking for uber battles. One challenger was bold enough to challenge me: maniaclyracist

I readily accepted the challenge, added the FC and went on WiFi. Got myself some cold water because I'm extra sweaty because maniaclyracist probably knows my team.

I steadily went on WiFi, finding Mr. Man ready to battle me. I gulped. This might me the toughest match of my life.

I sent out Palkia (Bling Bling!!)
He sent out Kyogre!
Kyogre's Drizzle made it rain!

Ok, so I'm here, clearly advantageous. I am about to Thunder that ogre into shreds with my awesome Choice Specs Thunder, which could fatally rip out kyogre's innards. But that lighting fate never did happen

Ok that was sad lol. Not only I got paralyzed, I can't move as well. I gotta ask SePh for another good luck charm. It expired already.

Palkia was stricken hard by the lighting, all the way down to his tail. The jolt held him still in the match.

I'm back on the advantageous position. I'm waiting for him to send out kyogre so I can wash his HP down with Meteor Mash and so his Spout won't be effective

But instead, he sent out someone I did not expect to switch into CBMeteor Mash

However, I feared his kyogre's speed. I had to switch out to something that can absorb Thunder, Can't go to Palkia, because he'd die after taking 2 hits.

Lol Hypnosis missing 3x already, but its not enough to fix the hax on the first turn if it does hit. It could have made a huge difference if Palkia didn't get so badly haxed

I'm not happy that that's over. I have to fear his Lugia and his unknown pokemon. That paralysis cost me the whole match. I could have Beamed his Lugia, Mew, and Judgmented his Blissey. Very sure the last pogey is killable too

I whited out. I cannot believe what happened. After getting haxed on the first turn, I got haxed in the end.

Pros:
- Arceus did a very good job in threatening him, and destroying kyogre and Mew
- Metagross saves me from a Mewtwo sweep!
- Kyogre Water Spouted like mad!

Slops:
- First turn hax!
- Last turn hax!
- Surgo still hates my fighting Arceus
- I lost
- SePh258 owes me another good luck charm

Because people play to win? Often non-ubers like Metagross end up fitting your team better than another uber would. Do you get mad at people who use UU pokemon in OU matches as well?

Then that'd be like disallowing UUs in OU matches =P Uber matches just mean you can throw in all the cheapass Pokemon. There's always still things like Blissey that can hold its own.

30% chance of paralyzing isn't hax, but 30% chance of paralyzing then 30% chance of being fully paralyzed on the same turn is pretty hax >.>

Just cuz it's "uber" doesn't mean it has the movepool to do what you want with it. There's no "uber" that can spec wall like a blissey

By limiting ourselves to "real" ubers, we've got something like 20 Pokemon, 10 of which (15 if you count each type of Deoxys seperately and include Arceus as Psychic, but that's dumb) are part psychic. Do you realize how terribly that closes down the uber metagame? It becomes a Shadow Ball-fest. That's it. It's all about countering the inevitable psychic types, and then probably something like Palkia thrown in because of it only being weak to Dragon. Every single Arceus would probably end up being Dark to be psychic immune.

Simply put, only allowing "real" ubers in the uber metagame... wrecks it completely.

But then what would be the fun in playing an "uber" battle if you are forced to play from a restricted selection of pokemon? What's the point of playing an Uber battle if you aren't having fun? Restricting you to play the same 20 pokemon doesn't sound like fun, does it?
