I pretty much only play with the Pokemon I have on cart. I find it a bit more fun that way, even if it isn't necessarily optimal. However, I realized that I could make a pretty decent mono-water team out of what I have, so I created an alt this morning and aimed to reach 1350 with just this team. Their IVs aren't quite perfect, and I'm sure it could be improved by using other Pokemon, but the team did pretty well overall, peaking at 1353.
