Alright, the voting slate is over! Here are our winners:
  1. ViZar - Applin line (61)
  2. Ema Skye - Ralts line (57)
  3. ViZar - Honedge line (52)
  4. G-Luke - Joltik line (48)
  5. kakaks - Unovan starters (45)
  6. PalpitoadChamp - Foonguss line (44)
  7. Magmajudis - Lake Trio (43)
  8. kakaks - Axew line (43)
  9. Ema Skye - Combee line (42)
  10. Magmajudis - Escavalier and Accelgor (32)
  11. Ema Skye - Furret line (32)
  12. PalpitoadChamp - Tympole line (32)
  13. kakaks - Galarian Fairies (31)
  14. Ema Skye - Legendary Beasts (28)
  15. Magmajudis - Litwick line (27)
  16. ViZar - Swablu line (27)
  17. Magmajudis - Gligar line (24)
  18. PalpitoadChamp - Sunkern line (24)
1611165314872.png

Now you might be wondering why are there 18 winners? Well the last two places have the same amount of votes, so we need to do a tiebreaker.
Vote for either the Gligar line by Magmajudis or the Sunkern line by PalpitoadChamp, while submitting for the next slate.

Speaking of which our next slate will be an item slate. You can submit items for the mod similar to Item Factory.
The Slate lasts 96 hours, so happy submitting.

Now before I disappear again, I want to mention a few thing about balancing and our resources.
Snoxin got a buff, it couldn't wall many things and was only useful against defensive mons. Its bulk didn't compensate for its typing. This buff allows it stand up against more offensive mons.
107-67-97-73-97-129 -> 107-53-113-53-117-131

On top of that many submissions of the winners got nerfed during the voting slate. Here are the changes.
Ralts line: Gardevoir got a speed nerf.
Axew line: Removed most Dragon moves and Surf.
Escavalier line: Joust nerfed and Drill run removed.
Impidimp line: Replaced Adaptability with Intimidate.

Here is a small update on the resources:
Rises:
Porygon-Z: B- => A- / Nuclear damage output. Specs sets are very useable and are different from the Z-Set.
Lucario: B+ => A / Great Physical, Special and Mixed attacker, set-up sweeper and Choice user.
Tapu Lele-Kinolau: A => S- / By far the best physical wall. You can always switch in and get recovery with Priority Strength Sap.
Komodond: B+ => A / Great TR Sweeper, Anti TR mon, Wall and Specs user.
Coyotalloy: UR => A / Great Lead, Pivot and Physical Breaker.
Tikilohi: UR => A- / TR sweeper that functions perfectly without it as well.
Flarenix: UR => S- / Very Splashable and serves its team well. It's unpredictable and can fit in almost every team.
Heatran: UR => S- / Same as Flarenix
Excadrill: UR => A- / Excellent Hazard Control and Sand Rush Sweeper. Can function as a lead and special tank too.
Camerupt-Mega: UR => B- / Like the other TR sweepers, it works well under TR and decently outside of it. Has a niche as a Terrain abuser.

Drops:
Plubia: A => B+ / Can't do much against Dark types, except hit Focus Blast. If you miss, you loose Plubia. If you hit, you're still walled by Chansey.
Stoutland: C- => UR / It's only niche was as a sand sweeper and it wasn't very good at that. Excadrill gave it the final nail in the coffin.

Not Sure:
Those mons weren't used much and so they haven't gotten a rank
Kingler
Qwilfish
Meganium
Typhlosion
Feraligatr
Shaymin
Volcanion
Here is the VR

The role compendium also got updated, but there's too much to list here.

That's all folks! Have a great and stay safe!

Voting for Sunkern.

New Items:

Magic Powder: Doubles secondary effect rates. Doesn't stack with Serene Grace.
Competitive: Mostly just a fun item.

Burning Coal: Upon making contact with the user, the foe is burnt and the item is removed.
Venom Slime: If the holder is attacked by a special attack, the foe is poisoned and the item is removed.

Competitive: Variants of Rocky Helmet for status, but single-use.

Miner's Shovel: When the holder switches in, a single (layer) of (an) entry hazard is removed, selected randomly.
Competitive: Lots of hazards should create different ways of removing them.

Fishing Rod: Opposing Water-types can't switch out.
Competitive: Pex sucks

Spendthrift Shard: The holder has a (Level/2)% chance of not consuming PP when attacking. Effect is announced.
Competitive: Another fun thing.

Trace Orb: Negates the holder's ability and copies the foe's when coming in.
Competitive: Archeops can forfeit its ability and item to get an ability.

Dubious Mask: Lowers the foe's special attack when switching in. Single use.
Competitive: Special-Intimidate.

Giant Shell: Halves user's speed but increases attack damage by 10%.
Competitive: Slow, bulky attackers have an item to increase their speed without impacting their bulk.

Coconut Bomb: When the holder switches in, attacks for for 10% of its HP. Item is consumed.
Competitive: Juicy chip

Adventurer's Pickaxe: If held by an ice type, user ignores hazard damage, and reduces damage by super-effective attacks by 50% when switching in.
Competitive: HDB but for Ice-types because Ice-types need something here. I think full HDB would be too strong, so it's just for them.

Telescope: Against a Pokemon of higher level than the user, boosts damage dealt by 30%.
Competitive: Could be kinda fun to gimp your stats to boost power.

Heroic Medal: Against a Pokemon of lower level than the user, reduces damage taken by 10%.
Competitive: Counterpart to the above.

Tough Cape: If this Pokemon switches in and doesn't take damage, restores 10% of its HP. If this Pokemon does take damage (including hazards), item is consumed to negate damage.
Competitive: Another HDB that is single use but rewards good predictions.

Moomoo Cheese: In a pinch, this Pokemon restores 20% of its HP and the item is consumed. Is not considered a berry.
Competitive: HP restoration without needing berry abilities or effects.

Big Parasol: Negates added effect chances of attacks hitting the user.
Competitive: Item that enhances reliability by negating RNG.

Anticipation Gloves: Against a Pokemon that has a typing that is super-effective against the holder, boosts damage by 40%.
Competitive: Risky damage boosting as it is triggered off the typing of the Pokemon instead of the Pokemon's attacks.

Item Scrapper: When switching in, item is announced and consumed. The foe's item is removed.
Competitive: One-use Knock Off that removes your own item.

Scoop Up Net: This Pokemon can always switch out. On the first use, item is announced and consumed to restore 20% HP.
Competitive: Variation of Shed Shell that has some use against trapping abilities.

Congratulations to the winners! And also Sunkern is the 17th regional form!
The spreadsheet and this post we will be edited later.

We'll have a Discussion slate for 2 weeks now, since we got a lot of stuff for the mod and it needs a lot of time to code.

That's all folks, have a great day and stay safe!

Okay, let's talk about Iviolite.
  • Alolan Excavalier is a big one. It hits 427 raw attack with Adamant. With Iviolite, it hits 597 (it's a 1.4x boost), which is an attack stat higher than Mega Mewtwo (the equivalent of 222 base attack). We should all be grateful it has awful Fire STAB because its Steel stab requires a resist to deal with.
252+ Atk Escavalier Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 217-256 (53.7 - 63.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (modified to base 222 atk)

  • Alolan Doublade could be kind of scary with its base 125 atk, but it's slow and poor special bulk limit how well it'll use it.
  • Magneton is likely superior to Magnezone now, as it already has a higher speed tier (notably, outspeeds Magearna) and hits harder (equivalent of base 187 SpA).
252+ SpA Magneton Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Magearna: 189-223 (62.7 - 74%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I'll talk about the top three items here. I'll group them, since they're very similar.

Photonsynthesizer, Rain Catcher, Sandy Rock, Slow Globe
Those are really good items. There are many Pokémon that can abuse them. Volcarona makes great use of the speed boost in sun and the special attack boost in rain. Hawlucha makes great use of all of them. It doesn't gain much from the special attack in rain, but rain is a playstyle that is filled with offensive pressure, which it fits in great. In sun it becomes the fastest Pokémon in the game and in hail it gets an attack boost, which is dangerous with Screens support. I'm excited to use those items.
:sm/hawlucha::sm/Volcarona:

Dark Red Emerald, Dark Blue Emerald
I really like the effects of them. Sure halving speed sucks, but Trick Room users really appreaciate it. Heatran has to run a Quiet nature in order to use Eruption. With the Dark Red Emerald it has low speed and it gets a boost for Eruption, it is especially nuclear with Flash Fire. Crawdaunt and Komdond enjoy these items as well. Especially Komodond, since it's already really really slow.
:sm/Heatran::sm/Crawdaunt:

Gravel Berry, Spiky Berry, Toxic Spiky Berry, Gooey Berry
Those are so cool. Single use Heavy-Duty-Boots that remove those hazards. Volcarona is a great user of the gravel berry, while hyper offensive teams can make great use of the Gooey Berry. Recycle users can be very effective with these items. There isn't much to say here, cause they're so simple, but they are really cool and I'm so excited to see them in action.

Work!
I also want to talk about the three (fourish) Fire/Steels in the metagame.
  • We have old favorite, Heatran. We all know what it does, which is basically everything because its role compression is insane. 91/106/106 bulk is really good, and 130 SpA keeps it from being passive. With all of the Fire-types in this mod, Flash Fire is greatly appreciated and its STAB is great for the strong Steels here.
  • I talked a bit about Alolan Escavalier on offense, but, with Eviolite, it's also another bulky mon. 60/80/85 with Eviolite is almost Porygon2 level. It's limited in Fire STAB to just Flame Charge though, so it's not a good check to the tier's Steels. Having 145 Atk with a burn immunity is great, and, like Heatran, it gets Ground coverage via Drill Run (which will be its main way of dealing with Steels, except for Celesteela).
  • Armail is as powerful as Alolan Escavalier, and has a small boost in bulk (which is negated by Eviolite). The big selling point here is Fire Lash, letting it deal with Celesteela. Think of both of these as offensive alts of Heatran, hitting the physical side.
  • Finally, Alolan Vespiquen, who is a defensive spin on Heatran. It has better bulk than Heatran, with 90/112/112. It also has Roost for recovery, making it the only one of the four with it. It's also the only one with pivoting, via Volt Switch. Cinders is a solid entry hazard but, given that we just added 10 Fire-types to the meta and three anti-hazard items, I'm unsure how viable it will be. It's role compression, though, also involves Defog, and, given these other roles it has, it plays well with it and is probably viable. However, it's offensive presence is awful, with 70/70 offenses and 20 speed.

Title pending
Ok everyone, it's been a long time!
While we are not doing a new slate right now (we're still waiting for Hematite to code the latest two slates i'm sorry we added that much), i still have things to say!

First of all, in the
Discord server (which i invite you all to join), we, collectively, made a new UB! I present to you the UB Spider, Arachsoil!

Typing: Ground/Bug
Stats: 107/63/97/109/113/71
Ability: Beast Boost (obviously)
Movepool: Sticky Soil, Infestation, Quiver Dance, universal TMs, U-turn, Spider Web, Leech Life, Stealth Rock, Fell Stinger, Nightmare, Bug Buzz, Sticky Web, Electroweb, Dream Eater, Dig, Drill Run

Signature Move: Sticky Soil (10 PP (16 max), 90 BP, 100 Acc, Special, Ground type, traps the target)

Pretty obviously, the movepool isn't complete, but all relevant moves are there (and some flavor ones we thought of during the process)! We'll complete it later.

As a side note, all of the UBs that were added during slate 4 now have sprites!

Thundigeist-1.png2-2.png.png
Anglevolt ans Thundigeist aren't very good but i tried okay

And of course, you can still give thoughts on the additions from the last two slates (ans on the meta in general, particularly Thundigeist, because that one needs a nerf)! And on Arachsoil of course!

Ok so first of all i am very sorry Hema we shouldn't have accepted so much winners~~
Alolan-Flapple is a cool mon imo, decent speed tier and hits pretty hard.

Alolan-Appletun is a much needed defensive presence in the metagame, acting as a Ferrothorn sort of mon and being very bulky.

Alolan-Gardevoir adds a very cool Mega in the Metagame, but i don't really think base form is that good (especially since Guardian is pretty much useless)

Alolan-Galade is pretty much broken because of Duelist. Anything that you can kill pretty much can't come in for the entire battle or it'll just die. It also means you can get a turn to reliable set SD with the Mega and become an offensive behemoth.

Aegislash is very interesting, having very high firepower in Blade forme, and high bulk in Shield form. It also has a strategic aspect to it, as you can only change form once. Though, it's abilities are pretty much useless.

Alolan-Galvantula is a cool mon, being a pretty fast Hustle mon with access to Hone Claws and cool stuff like U-Turn, Knock Off and First Impression

Alolan-Serperior brings a very needed Sun abuser, by being one of the fastest things in the game under Sun, and having good sweeping potential

Alolan-Emboar is interesting, because while it's Eruptions and Water Spouts under Sun (It's so powerful Water Spout is still good coverage under Sun) are extremely powerful, it's very HP dependent and is weak to Stealth Rock. Overall, could be a very fun and threatening mon, especially since Solar Power has antisynergy with Eruption and Water Spout.

Samurott-Alola is yet another Rain sweeper, and i would quite honestly believe it's largely outclassed by Tapu Fini-K if not for Nasty Plot, which makes sweeps much faster.

Alolan-Amoongus finally gives us another Regenator mon, which the meta really needs, especially stall and balance.

Alolan-Uxie is a cool scout imo, that can help detect sets easily with it's ability, while threatening Pokemon with it's good offensive stats on both sides.

Alolan-Azelf works pretty good as a more defensive mon, and even if can't heal itself, it's ability helps it a lot.

Alolan-Mesprit is a neat mon imo, that can threaten a lot of mons and use it's ability to switch-in easily against a lot of mons.

(I fully expect those three to actually end Up underwhelming, but they would be cool if we have UU at some point)

Alolan-Haxorus is a force to be reconned with. 142/97 is very scary, but it's kept in check by the fact it's item is pretty much restricted to Adventurer's Pickaxe.

Alolan-Vespiqueen i expect to become a top tier, just for it's sheer role compression, and for it's interesting signature moves.

Armail... Sighs. What the hell was i thinking when i subbed this monster. That thing is a nuke. 145 Attack is excellent, and Joust + Scarf or Band (or SD LO) hits hard as hell. If it wasn't enough, it's best Fire STAB's Fire Lash, which makes it even harder to wall. Under Sun, or under TR with the Dark Red Emerald, it'll become a nuke.

Shinobug looks like a very fun pivot, always being to switch-in safely and use U-Turn with the highest speed tier of the meta. It also has decent SpA and can be a decent Specs user, as well as a suicide lead that can do it's job at any moment of the battle.

Terret is pretty cool. Not much to say here, but it's fun.

Alolan-Seismitoad's good bulk and access to Flash Fire makes it a great check to the many Fire types in the tier, and an overall cool defensive mon.

Alolan-Hatterene gives another Regen mon, as well as a Magic Bounce user, making it a very good mon on more bulky teams.

Alolan-Grimmsnarl's really cool. It can play defensively with Intimidate, as a sort of pivot, or offensively with Moxie as a set-up sweeper.

Alolan-Entei, Suicune and Raikoi are all cool mons with cool typings and signature moves, and they'll all have a niche in the meta for sure.

Alolan-Altaria and it's Mega are just so cool. They share the same interesting typing and have both interesting stats, but Pride Dance is just so cool. It makes it extremely versatile.

Sanddern is probably my favorite additon this slate. It's just a very fun and interesting pivot imo, with a great typing.

It's a very fun trapper, that brings momentum to it's team with U-Turn, and can be quite threatening with Quiver Dance. I'm very happy with how it turned out. It also forms a great core with Tapu Koko-Kinolau.

The four stats-raisers in weathers are very cool, and are all interesting in my opinion. All are used very well by Hawlucha, but imo Photonsynthesizer sounds very cool and scary on Emboar.

The Parachute, while a cool concept, i don't think will actually see much use due to being single-use, when switching into hazards is something that happens often during a game.

The Ditto Plush looks very fun, but it's probably very inconsistant. Also avoid switching on Toxapex or Snoxin with it. If it hold Black Sludge you'll regret it.

Tikilohium-Z looks fun imo, especially since the boosts it doesn't care much about are the one that happen last.

Room Stop can be quite good in this meta due to Trick Room being omnipresent, but it's too matchup reliant to be good imo.

The Adventurer's Pickaxe is pretty much signature to Snoxin and Haxorus, but both really appreciate it a lot.

Throat Spray can be a great item on Komodond, which will be a menace under Trick Room with Clangorous Soul.

The Burning Coal and Venom Slime are both cool contact punishers, which i can see do quite well.

For the Emeralds, i don't have anything to say ViZar didn't already.

Plubium-Z will be very appreciated as a Plubia buff, and will make it much easier to set-up.

Forsnakium-Z is good i'd say. Not much to say here.

The Ultra Sword will be very good, considering how prevalent UBs are in the meta.

The hazards berry are great like ViZar said.

The Weather Machine is quite cool considering the weather war that is going on in the meta right now.

The Karma Mirror is a great Knock punisher that will be appreciated i think.

The Terrain Shovel i don't think will be that good, terrains are way less prevalent and important to remove than weathers or rooms.

Anglevium-Z is great, will make Anglevolt way less suport-reliant and allow it to sweep more easily.

Tough Cape's cool i guess.

Room Service and Iviolite are both cool too.

Snoxium-Z is actually really appreciated, as Snoxin's main issue is it's low attacking stats, and this can allow it to nuke one mon.

Now excuse me i'm going to do something else i just spend two hours writing this.

Man, how I missed this feeling.

Alright People, time to update the VR a bit.
The council thought about the current meta a bit and we update the resources a bit, so that newer players have an easier time coming in.
Rises
Thundigeist: S- to S; Thundigeist is probably the most dangerous set-up sweeper next to Magearna. It's fast and strong and can beat its checks even if it doesn't have the perfect coverage. You have to act quick or you'll get beaten by it quickly
Komodond: A to S-; This thing very versatile and it can reliably run every option it has. Set-up sweeper, Choice Specs with Water Spout, Defensive, Trapper, Stealth Rocker, Team Utility: It's just a really splashable mon.
Snoxin: A- to S-; Snoxin is similar to Komodond. It is almost as bulky as Pex, but is extremely fast as well. It's also a great switch into any passive wall or any wall that can't threaten it back. It cripples them or in case of a battle against Stall, you win instantly.
Pelipper: A- to A+; Rain is a really good playstyle in the Meta, but the thing that makes it better is its setter. Pelipper can drop Damp Rock and run Choice Specs, since the most common abusers aren't depended on rain, and Pelipper pressures the opponent even more.
Forsnaken: A- to A: Forsnaken might seem a bit underwhelming, but thanks to its amazing movepool and stats, it can serve as the Zygarde of DLCmons. It needs support from a Pursuiter in order to get rid of the Ghosts, but Forsnaken abuses its immense bulk and Glare to great effect.
Gastrodon: B to A: Gastrodon is a great check to common threats like Tapu Fini (both forms), Tapu Koko, Magearna, Anglevolt and Flarenix. It's a fantastic glue that can serve as a buffer for those threats.
Zeraora: B+ to A-: Zeraora has the best non-mega speed tier besides Tapu Koko-K. However unlike Koko-K, Zeraora has great moves and a good ability, with the added bonus of not being Stealth Rock weak, unlike Koko-K, and not needing a mega stone, unlike Manectric.
Bisharp: B to A-: Bisharp is a great offensive Pokémon that pairs well with Hazard setters on hyper offensive teams, but it also plays an important role in those teams, since it hard counters the number one physical wall Tapu Lele-K and forces it to change its moves, while making it weaker against other match-ups.
Krookodile: B to B+: Krookodile is a versatile Ground-type, thanks to its useful Dark STABs in Pursuit and Knock Off, while also serving as a great check to Thundigeist due to its resistence to its STABs. It's also a great late game cleaner with a Choice Scarf set.
Garchomp-Mega: D to B-: Mega Garchomp was treated to harshly, although it's still outclassed by its base form and it doesn't always fit into Sand teams, it's too good to be considered D or C tier.

Drops
Volcarona: A to A-: Volcarona faces competition from Thundigeist, who has a better STAB combination, Special Attack and Speed and a better ability. Volcarona has better bulk and Quiver Dance, however the former isn't big enough to make a difference and the latter is overshadowed by the fact that Thundigeist is naturally faster and that Beast Boost grants it a Speed Boost.
Volcanion: A to A-: Volcanion is mostly outclassed by other bulky Water-types and it lost effectiveness once Heatran came back and Flarenix were introduced, overshadowing its niche as a bulky Fire-type. It has a great typing, stats and ability, but it isn't as viable as it used to be.
Muk-Alola: B+ to B-: Alolan Muk is outclassed by Tyranitar, Krookodile and Weavile as a Pursuit user. It serves as a great check to the regular Tapus, however it doesn't beat the other forms and their base forms can be checked by other mons who are better in the overall Metagame.
Shaymin: B to B-: Shaymin has good stats and a good ability, but it's outclassed as a bulky Grass-type by both Bulu forms, who also serve as great team support options while also being strong offensive threats.
Lanturn: B- to C: Lanturn was unique since it was a bulky Water that doesn't need Water Absorb to be useful, however the Meta became more hostile towards it and it can't keep up anymore. On top of that it faces serious competition from other Water-types.
Alolamola: B to C-: Alolamola is outclassed by every Water in at keast on way and it is restricted to Stall, which isn't in a great spot thanks to Snoxin. It is a good wishpasser, but there are other Pokémon that can wishpass, while not being passive or providing more utility

I'll also update the Sample Teams since they are extremely outdated, as well as the sample sets.
Furthermore, there are a few balance changes we made for the new additions.

1. Alolan-Escavalier and Alolan-Accelgor have pre-evolutions now.
We removed Drill Run from the Escavalier line while giving it Will-O-Wisp instead. Armail and Escavalier-A were way to powerful, now they have better checks in Heatran and Water-types.
Accelgor and Shinobug lost Spikes and gained Stealth Rock
2. We all agreed that the current effect of Duellist is too strong, so we decided to give it a new effect:
"User gains +1 into its Attack stat when the foe switches out"

Also, we're deeply sorry for the long wait. We'll get everything done as soon as possible.
We would appreciate it when you are a bit more patient, you won't wait for long!
