  • Alakazam can't switch in on anything, because pure Psychic is awful typing. Gengar is immune to three types, and is also more unpredictable than Alakazam, since it can both sweep with special moves or pull crazy sets like SubSplit or a set based around Explosion. Alakazam is simply unable to get in and stay in, but Gengar can with ease, and once he is in he is more unpredictable which goes along way competitively.
Well I adore the idea of Alakazam being returned to his former glory, but things are not easy for him. I mean sure, Magic Guard and Psycho Shock are fine additions, but with a metagame jam-packed with powerful physical attackers and priority, Alakazam's obvious frailness is pretty clear. And wit hall of the newer more powerful Pokemon, Alakazam's fantastic Sp.Atk and Speed are becoming less and less notable.

So while seeing him in OU would be nice, I do not think he stands much hope, and I shall enjoy using him on my UU teams.
I don't like particularly the ghost-type, I just happen to like pokemon that casually are ghost-type, lol. I dunno, they're usually naughty and playfull and usually are really good and fun to use ingame or competitively. And Chandelure's a cutey.
It's frail as piss and isn't fast at all, so you can't exploit it's humongous attack because you don't outspeed anything and if they move before you, the OHKO you.
It was bottom OU, like Ninjask or Dusknoir. And Slaking was OU in ADV, as well as Sceptile. That doesn't mean anything.
-Well Ice Punch is the superior option overall but Rotom is the only reason people don't run Thunderpunch- if you can eliminate him, then Thunderpunch is best.
-Mixed Agility Lucario sucks, just go straight-up physical
    -Not even in the least
I personally think thunderpunch is better, you just have to get Rotom out of the way which can be rather easy actually, again Tyranitar works wonders.
    (a)nice
    (b) I could rate it, but if you're looking for ways to start, try Agiligross, he's pretty good now-a-days with thunderpunch if you can pursuit trap Rotom with Tyranitar or something.
    (c) sure, if you play to it's strengths
Plain and simple, most humans are ignorant by nature. Back in '95, pokémon was mainly targeted for kids. However, each generation becomes slightly more teen-oriented. Case and point, a lot BW pokedex entries talk about savagely killing other pokemon for food. Everything regarding BW plot is totally oriented to an older audience, and so on.
Im supposed to be a psychic type, lol. I'm studying to be a psychologist in a couple of years.
That aside, I really don't like the psychic type that much.
