You can take it a step further. Skarmory "counters" Haxorus by absorbing its attacks and then whirlwinding it out, or by Brave Bird. Using Nasty plot or swords dance either has your Zoroark phased, or massively damaged by a pretty sad attack.

Hyper offense is still probably the best playstyle to try and fit Zoroark into, though, imo. Zoroark is trying to succeed in a metagame filled with priority, fighting moves, and bulk.....it hates all three of those things. Zoroark can't switch into anything; that's really hindering it. Maybe...

I've tested it out, and honestly, most of you won't like what I've found. There's simply a reason Zoroark is not OU: it's too frail. Priority, especially Scizor, absolutely ruins any of its chances. A bulkier Gyarados, as many have suggested, would be my first suggestion, if we are dead...

I'll echo the others who have commented: great format, well-written, battle was just ordinary, and hampered by hax and mistake plays.

I like this thought process, but really what happens if they predict wrong? Either Lucario or Zoroark is coming out, my instinct is to blast it before it can set up. Something to consider, because both mons are frail and can't afford to take an unresisted hit.

I honestly disagree that his opponent had a major advantage. I thought he was at a severe disadvantage for most of the match, trying to use a majority of UU against the Volt-Turn standard. The fact that he made misplays only guaranteed the victory for the OP, imo.

That was a very odd post, considering that this is a very old thread, and you seem very upset with someone who made a good point.
