Oh boy! It's the World Cup of Smogon's one-versus-one metagame! Eight geographically confusing teams compete for supremacy!
The way this works is that for each of the eight slots you guys signed up for (4 USUM, 2 ORAS, 1 BW, 1 2v2) there are a couple pools. The teams have been randomly split into two groups for each meta. In short, four teams that emerge with the most best-of-five victories (except 2v2 which is best-of-3) will move on to the semifinals. Basically, just try to win as many games as you can, and I'll figure out the rest.

Everyone will have three weeks to play three opponents, i.e. the deadline is something like 11:59 PM GMT on October 9.
