Warstory: Planning Ahead?

My(Articanus's) Team:

Classic's Team(in order of appearance):

Note: I hadn't known about Obi's stall team when I made this.

Rules: Ladder Match, Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Evasion Clause, Species Clause, Strict Damage Clause
Classic sent out Hippowdon.
Articanus sent out Zapdos.
Zapdos is exerting its pressure!
Hippowdon's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!
A sandstorm brewed!
Crap! I hate Sand Stream, even though I have a Tyranitar on my team. But I only bring him out to sweep late game, or if the opponent is using some other kind of weather. I assume Hippowdon's going to Stealth Rock, like every other one does, so I thought I'd get the jump on whatever he does.

Zapdos used Baton Pass.
I thought it was safe to assume Hippowdon's either going to Ice Fang or Stealth Rock, so I bring in something that could take both.

Articanus switched in Vaporeon.

Props
-Everyone did something, on both teams(except Blissey, but no one cares about her)!
--Zapdos for keeping Heracross protected at the beginning with Substitue and the end by finishing off two major Heracross threats.
--Tyranitar for setting up and taking out two pokemon. If I had DDed, it would have been three.
--Vaporeon for keeping the whole team healthy, especially Heracross.
--Heracross for taking out chunks of health and keeping Classic on his toes, though he never did kill anything.
--Gengar for killing Blissey, who would have otherwise walled the majority of my team.
--Forretress for setting up and removing spikes, and for paralyzing a third of Classic's team!
-Classic for the good game. Sorry if I made any misunderstandings.
Slops
-Me for not setting up another DD that could have secured my victory.
-For Heracross's Megahorn missing at THE most crutial moment of the match! It did even out a bit, since my Forretress never missed with Zap Cannon. And I won the speed tie.
-The opponent paralyzing at some crutial moments.

IF YOU DECIDE TO READ THE BEOW COMMENTS, PLEASE DON'T BRING UP THE "WHO WAS THE ASS" ARGUMENT!

Very nice game. Judging by the team, it seems that Classic is the same person as Obi / Graviton. Either that, or somebody just took and used the team. Either way, you overcame an annoying stall team and almost secured the win. Very nice match.

As much as I liked it, there were a few issues:

Remove the leftovers/SS stuff.
There was a little too much hax for my liking, but I don't think it would have mattered too much anyway.
How was this Classic person an ass? I don't see anything that suggests that. =/

I'm pretty sure classic isn't obi/graviton. Probably just someone who copies his team, which is sad. And I assume he was an ass because of the comment he made at the end.

Great warstory, unlucky at the end. I think Classic stole Obi's team for this match at least, cos in Obi's RMT thread where he goes through this team in meticulous detail, he says his name is Graviton (no. 3 on the Shoddy ladder) whereas there is a separate user called Classic who is 12th on there too.

I guess we won't know who's who until Obi actually posts in here.
Anyways, thanks for the positive response, guys. ^^
Calcihoce: at the end where I said gg, that's where he was an ass, and I'm currently working on getting rid of the access material.

Well, by judging from the quote "Classic: ." and his old netbattle nick. I think I can assume that he's GP. Also, I don't really see how he acted like an ass, just because he didn't say "gg"?

Classic isn't Obi. Obi names his Spiritomb, The Man Who Was Thursday. So it can't be him, unless you removed all nicknames on the Pokemon. Nice Warstory btw.

Yes, I did read that part. I honestly don't know why that would consider him to be an "ass" for saying that it wasn't a gg. At least he didn't act like one during the battle.

I'm saying he's an ass for criticizing me for saying gg.
Actually thats considered pretty damn rude saying 'gg' before the match actually is over. It comes off as nothing more than arrogant since it seems you think you've completely won. Anyone would obviously would be pissed off because of that.

It only looks worse when your the one who ended up losing as it proved your opponent right.

Learn the context for etiquette first, 'gg' is only good for AFTER the game is completely over where its fine. Before and its just arrogant.

I would've done the same thing if someone said gg to me before the match ended which would mean he thinks he already won. Even if both players know it, it's just rude. And Classic got paralyzed so much, the hax is pretty even.

NOW tell me... what did I do wrong?

I often say gg on the last turn as well in a close match, not because I think I've won the match, but because it truely was a good game. IMO, you didn't do anything wrong, seeings as you said right before you didn't know which way the game was going to go since you didn't know what kind of Celebi it was.

The battle content is really good. Only funny thing was sending forretress in and realizing "wait, I can't rapid spin." lol Outside of that, both sides made some really great plays.

I also don't think there was any real "serious" breach of ettiquete on either side. Looking at the last turn, it seems he said those things because he knew that celebi was packing a slow spread and was probably just a bit disheartened that he thought he would lose.

Why did he just let Zapdos kill of Tenta and Skarm like that? He actually could've won if he sent in Celebi instead, used Perish Song, and then use Skarm to come in on Hera and set up spikes. Then stall out Hera until it dies and use Celebi to finish Zapdos with Perish Song.

Nice Warstory anyway. Also, apparently Obi lent Classic that team.

ChouToshio- Now that you mention it, I can see why he would say that... but still, he could have worded it a bit different. Glad to see you liked the story, anyway.
Quiet Lurker- I wasn't playing his... er, Obi's team, so I don't know why he didn't do that.
Hawk- That's my favorite part, too =D
Obi- TOAST!!!

It's not rude to say "gg" before a game is over because you're not stating that you have won and rubbing it in the other guy's face. You're merely stating that it was a "good game" and it's about to end within the next 1 or 2 turns. I know a lot of people who say "gg" just before they know they are about to lose.

And from my perspective, judging from the two lines classic said, he wasn't being very polite. If I had to hazard a guess, he knew that the heracross was gonna be faster than the celebi and a megahorn would KO him. So he thought he was about to lose and said it wasn't a good game and tells Articanus to hurry up and "just go".

Just my opinion anyway.

Great warstory. Really like how in your commentary you actually post what you were thinking at the time, that's the kind of material I like to see!
