RU Vileplume [QC: 3/2] [GP: 1/1]

name: Physically Defensive
move 1: Giga Drain
move 2: Sludge Bomb
move 3: Strength Sap
move 4: Corrosive Gas / Sleep Powder
item: Black Sludge
ability: Effect Spore
nature: Bold
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

Vileplume's reliable bulk and good defensive typing allow it to act as a switch-in to common pivots in RU such as Zarude and Mienshao, while its ability Effect Spore lets it pressure physical attackers such as Cobalion and Sharpedo. Unfortunately, Vileplume can get worn down quickly and is often forced to use its recovery to remain healthy, which gives openings to Pokemon it invites in like Toxtricity and common Flying-types such as Noivern and Crobat. Strength Sap is Vileplume’s main recovery move and allows it to lower the Attack stat of an opposing physical attacker. Corrosive Gas is used to remove important items such as Leftovers, Heavy-Duty Boots, and Choice items from Pokemon such as Cobalion, Crobat, and Toxtricity. Alternatively, Sleep Powder can be used to put common switch-ins such as Crobat and Noivern to sleep, generating free turns for itself and its teammates. An alternative EV spread of 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD can be used to avoid a 4HKO from Xurkitree's Thunderbolt. Vileplume is best suited for balance teams that need a check for prominent physical attackers such as Zarude and Mienshao. Due to Vileplume's weakness to Fire-types, bulky Water-types such as Suicune and Milotic can be great teammates. In return, Vileplume can handle offensive Electric-types such as Xurkitree and Raikou. Since Vileplume often invites in Flying-types like Crobat and Tornadus, checks to these Pokemon such as Xurkitree and Raikou are good partners. Registeel and Steelix also make great teammates for Vileplume, since they are able to check offensive Psychic-types such as Gardevoir and Necrozma. Since Vileplume often switches into pivots, taking damage from entry hazards can quickly wear it down and limit its defensive capabilities, so entry hazard removal from Togekiss or Crobat is important.

Vileplume's reliable bulk and great good (try not to over hype stuff) defensive typing allows it to act as a switch-in to RU's common pivots such as Zarude and Mienshao. and threaten to cripple them with the ability Effect Spore and it’s utility options. Vileplume's ability, Effect Spore gives Vileplume the chance to cripple(when ppl say "cripple" i think of toxic or hazards, but with effect spore u cant rlly cripple em if u dont get poison.)pressure physical attackers.and punish opponents trying to U-turn. Strength Sap is Vileplume’s main recovery move, while also being able to of choice as it lower the attack stat of physical attacking pokemon. Corrosive Gas is used to remove important items such as Leftovers, Heavy-Duty Boots and choice items from opposing Pokémon common switch-ins (list example so like, cgas can remove important items such as leftover, hdb, and choice items from common switch-ins like x and y). Alternatively, Sleep Powder can be used to cripple common switch-ins with sleep and threaten out opponents as well (<this sentence seems very off try and reword it). 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD evs with a Bold nature is used to maximize Vileplume's physical defense so it can survive as many physical hits as possible and avoid a 3HKO from Zarude's Darkest Lariat (i dont think u should explain ev's if its max max.) Vileplume is best suited for on balanced teams and offensive teams (false vileplume doesnt belong on offensive teams unless its being used as a sun abusers, also vileplume isnt a reliable sun abuser p wack with how many steels ru has) that need a prominent check for (lowercase)physical attackers. Bulky Water types who can handle fire types for Vileplume such as Suicune and Milotic are great teammates. Due to Vileplume's Fire weakness, Bulky Water-types such as Suicune and Milotic can be great teammates, in return, Vileplume can handle offensive Electric-Types such as Xurkitree and Thundurus. (< i rewrote this sentence for u.) Teammates who can threaten out the flying types Vileplume invites in like Xurkitree and Raikou are amazing partners.(<reword this sentence) Registeel and Steelix also make great teammates for Vileplume since they are able to check offensive Psychic-types such Gardevoir and Necrozma. Pokémon who can check Psychic-types such as Registeel and Steelix help check the aforementioned threats and chip Vilepume's switch ins with Stealth rocks. Finally, Hazard removals like Pokémon who can remove entry hazards such as Togekiss and Crobat are helpful teammates since they prevent Vileplume from taking damage by entry hazards.

Vileplume's reliable bulk and great (see aqua's post) defensive typing allows it to act as a switch-in to common pivots such as Zarude and Mienshao and threaten to cripple them with the ability Effect Spore and it’s utility options. Effect Spore is used to cripple physical attackers and punish opponents trying to U-turn (you kind of already mentioned this in the previous sentence, see if you can merge them somehow). Strength sap (capitalize moves) is Vileplume’s recovery move of choice as it lowers the attack stat of physical attackers. Corrosive Gas is used to remove important items such as leftovers, Heavy-Duty Boots and choice items from opposing Pokémon (see aqua's post). Alternatively, Sleep Powder can be used to cripple common switch-ins with sleep and threaten out opponents as well. 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD evs with a Bold nature is used to maximize Vileplume's physical defense so it can survive as many physical hits as possible and avoid a 3HKO from Zarude's Darkest Lariat (i'm unsure about if you have to discuss max max spreads, maybe ask in ru disc). Vileplume is best suited for balance and offensive teams that needs a check for prominent Physical attackers (see aqua's post). Bulky Water types who can handle fire types for Vileplume such as Suicune and Milotic are great teammates (again, see aqua's post). Teammates who can threaten out the flying types Vileplume invites in like Xurkitree and Raikou are amazing partners. Pokémon who can check Psychic types such as Registeel and Steelix help check the aforementioned threats and chip Vilepume's switch ins with Stealth rocks (capitalize). Finally, Pokémon who can remove entry hazards such as Togekiss prevent Vileplume from taking unnecessary chip damage (mention how vileplume switches into pivots, so having to take an additional 12.5% is very detramental). I'm unsure about what the calcs are, but maybe mention how some spdef investment would help against electrics.

Vileplume's ability, while its ability Effect Spore gives Vileplume it the chance to pressure physical attackers. Strength Sap is Vileplume’s main recovery move, while also being able to lower the Attack stat of physical attacking Pokémon Pokemon. (mention some flaws, vileplume is B, not like S or A+, talk about how it invites in flying types such as vern and crobat, and can invite in toxtricity as well). Corrosive Gas is used to remove important items such as Leftovers, Heavy-Duty Boots and choice items from common switch-ins like Noivern and Crobat. (don't like how u mentioned 3 item examples, but then the mon examples are only those that run boots. change it to x, noivern or crobat, and y, with x being smth that run lefties, y being smth that runs choiced items. x can be smth like cobalion while y can be smth like toxtricity). An alternative spread of 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD EVs can be used to avoid a 4HKO from Xurkitree's Thunderbolt. (moved up from the bottom). Alternatively, Sleep Powder can be used to put the latter switch-ins to sleep, generating free turns for itself and it's its teammates. (latter switch-ins? doesnt rly make sense). Vileplume is best suited on balanced teams that need needs a check for prominent physical attackers. Due to Vileplume's Fire weakness weakness to Fire, (add comma here) bulky Water-types such as Suicune and Milotic can be great teammates. In return, Vileplume can handle offensive Electric-Types such as Xurkitree and Thundurus Raikou. (thundurus has the option to run psychic on nasty plot variants, therefore change it for raikou). Since Vileplume often invites in Flying-types, checks to these Pokémon Pokemon such as Xurkitree and Raikou are good partners. Registeel and Steelix also make great teammates for Vileplume since they are able to check offensive Psychic-types (add hyphen) such as Gardevoir and Necrozma. Since Vileplume often switches into pivots, taking damage from entry hazards can quickly wear it down and limit it's its defensive capabilities so Hazard hazard removal from Togekiss and Crobat is important. An alternative spread of 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD EVs can be used to avoid a 4HKO from Xurkitree's Thunderbolt. (alternative spread mentions should be moved up, and mentioned before teammates)

Vileplume's reliable bulk and good defensive typing allows it to act as a switch-in to RU's common pivots in RU (subjective) such as Zarude and Mienshao, while its ability Effect Spore gives it the chance to lets it pressure physical attackers (examples?) (wouldn't say necessary because Effect Spore generally pressures all physical attackers on this general physdef mon, but like more examples rarely hurt, so feel free if you want). Unfortunately, it Vileplume can get worn down quickly and is often forced to use its recovery to remain healthy, which gives openings to Pokemon(Capitalize) it invites in like Toxtricity and common Flying-types such as Noivern and Crobat. Strength Sap is Vileplume’s main recovery move which simultaneously and allows it to lower the Attack stat of physical attacking Pokemon an opposing physical attacker (subjective; clarity) (if you don't do this, physical -> physically). Corrosive Gas is used to remove important items such as Leftovers, Heavy-Duty Boots,(AC) and Choice(Capitalize) items from Pokemon such as Cobalion, Crobat, and Toxtricity. Alternatively, Sleep Powder can be used to put common switch-ins (examples?) An alternative EV spread of 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD EVs can be used to avoid a 4HKO from Xurkitree's Thunderbolt. Vileplume is best suited on for balanced teams that needs a check for prominent physical attackers (examples?) (don't feel examples are required because I get the impression this is a blanket physdef mon, but again again, more examples rarely hurt, and I could be wrong). Due to Vileplume's weakness to Fire-types, (subjective) bulky Water-types such as Suicune and Milotic can be great teammates. In return, Vileplume can handle offensive Electric-types such as Xurkitree and Raikou. Since Vileplume often invites in Flying-types (examples?), (don't feel required because analysis mentions Noivern and Crobat earlier) checks to these Pokemon such as Xurkitree and Raikou are good partners. Registeel and Steelix also make great teammates for Vileplume, (AC) since they are able to check offensive Psychic-types such as Gardevoir and Necrozma. Since Vileplume often switches into pivots, taking damage from entry hazards can quickly wear it down and limit its defensive capabilities,(AC) so entry hazard removal from Togekiss and or Crobat is important.
