  • Follow all rules listed here.​
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.​
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.​
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.​
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.​
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.​
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.​

current predicts (5/8)

last week was one of the worst weeks of GSC that I have ever seen, from hax, to overall play not being up to the UUPL GSC standards that we all know and cherish, to players getting harassed by their opp's manager after the game -- just truly a week we can hopefully all forget. Good thing this week has some exciting matches! :)

GSC UU: Lialiabeast vs Torchic - lia was forgetting to press sleep talk last week, not much else to say

GSC UU: innovamania vs dawnbuster - most anticipating this match. Dawn's probably got an edge but not a huge one

GSC UU: SANKE CARP vs pp's splash town - Sanke won last time and i think this one will be close. I'm not too keen on leaning towards either but I want Sanke to win for his own mental's sake

GSC UU: d0nut vs Real FV13 - ive been liking d0nuts builds this pl and hes been playing well. Last week may have been a bit of a haxy game but he's still looking strong. fv still has time to find his footing though so im very much excited to see what he loads.

GSC UU: Lialiabeast vs Torchic - I’m very interested in this match, both players are very interesting builders but I was kinda liking what Torchic was doing last week. lialia’s rng has also been all over the place so I’m curious to see how this one goes

GSC UU: innovamania vs dawnbuster - kinda feel bad bolding against inno every time so far but I need to see more of his game and what’s available rn has been shaky compared to dawn who always tryhards prep and knows battle like the back of his hand

GSC UU: SANKE CARP vs pp's splash town - the most even match, it could really go either way, but rn pp has a persistent negative rng streak and sanke’s been pretty creative, so I’ll pick him. also pp is a goddamn kekker, s/o pdt

GSC UU: d0nut vs Real FV13 - d0nut seems to be on a pretty good groove and is building and playing pretty well, meanwhile fv has had some inconsistency recently, but overall also a very even match

Indigo Plateau vs pdt - indigo penis is just not abt that life anymore. mons isn’t his priority and honestly good for him. pdt on the other hand hasn’t stopped cookin since he was like 12 years old, pdt’s stock is as high as it’s ever been, and it keeps going up, while the exact opposite can be said for ip. I am and have always been a massive IP fan and am proud to call him a friend, but i’d be losing my fuckin mind if i bolded him here.

Pak vs skysolo - idk what the strap would have to pay me to get me to bold him here. Pak is a knucklehead mcspazzatron and could randomly lose off mu tilt or something, but that is like a 3% chance of happening and that may be highballing it.

robjr vs xiri - rob isn’t poppin off atm but robjr only has so much flop potential, there’s no shot he just shits the bed the whole tour or smth. Xiri is better than the PRs give him credit for, but he is not better than rob. I cannot in good faith bold against rob.

killintime vs. dingbat - one of the more exciting mus this tour will see in this ora’s pool imo, both coming off extremely positive last showings, i believe both 7-2? I am giving ryan killintime the edge for two reasons, and only one of them being barclay bias. I think dingbat has abusable patterns and ryan killintime will find them. Whether it be love for suicune or his recent Bronzong usage, or whatever tf else. Ryan Killintime if has enough prep time, will win prolly like 55/45 or 60/40ish. Dinger is a banger tho it can go either way.

lax vs Lycans - lax is now in SM, which might be for the best given the minimal effort nature of prep in this tier atm, it’s much easier to be passed smth day prior to game and win in SM vs most other UUs in general. It’s a shame carson had to sell his soul though back to SS. I’m actually gonna bold lax because I think Lycans’s 2-0 is semi fraudulent. I am a massive Lycans fan and hope he sweeps but just going off the games and context, I think this is where he’ll lose to some kumi tech and lax piloting at a very high floor if he feels like it.

London Beats vs Lyssa - I don’t have a ton interesting to say abt this one, idk anything abt london beats, i wasn’t a big fan of one of his teams that Sylvi ended up using in UUSD and winning with, but other than that idk anything abt his oras uu prowess other than he is relatively involved these days and did well in ORASpl (i think). Reina is good and has been ORASing for a few tours now, I think i’ll just let my bias pick Reina here. I don’t recall her game last week and I didn’t think her game week 1 was very impressive from her end but I also don’t think her+umbry would allow w1 mistakes to continue so i’m sure she’ll do well in this mu.

Iki Town Idols vs Sinjoh Ruin Strikers

SV UU: Trogba Trogba vs JustFranco - I can't say I know Trogba as a player, but I do know Franco is going to load 6 of the 8.5 fatties/HO cheesemons he always uses -> going unpunished for it -> winning. That said, having a blank slate does leave the window open for Trogba to perform cos I've rly just got nothing to go off of there.

SV UU: Welli0u vs Sabella - ngl I've stared at this MU for like 5 minutes and I've got nothing, idrgaf. Just going to bold the Not impromptu sub and b done with it.

SV UU: hellom vs tier - both are 2-0, tier will build fresh, hellom will get donated something. I don't have a particularly strong lean towards either player, however hellom is historically a strong player so I'd favour him in an even or better MU.

DPP UU: Lily vs Highlord - I'm glad Micciu was freed, however I cannot bold the idols here as Pak was not the replacement for him. Regardless, just going to bold the person who actually expected to play a DPP game going into this tour.


Camphrier Town Ladies vs Friend Safari Pokemon Trainers

SV UU: Mossy Sandwich vs Meru - Mossy's teams have left something to be desired, whereas the rustie has viv's backing and what is imo a generally better supporting cast behind him. Provided Mossy brings something good / lands the right MU I think this is suddenly quite even, but I've got no real reason not to lean Meru.

SV UU: DugZa vs vivalospride - DugZa is 2-0 vs Viv's 1-1, but I think Viv rebounded p nicely from his w1 and DugZa would be 1-1 if he did not activate plot armour vs Mimilucha so I think they are relatively even. Their playing ability is relatively on par imo, I am inclined to bold Viv cos I think if anyone is more likely to bring a better team, it'll probably be Viv. A pretty neutral MU all things considered though, 45:55 vibes.

SV UU: Askov vs Punny - Askov shamelessly denied Passion's humble request to play on Saturday, thus delaying sv games and forcing Passion to play during 1 of the 39 weddings (+ additional 20 funerals) he had to attend on Sunday ... I mean rly how heartless can u be...? Consequently, I cannot bold Askov w a clear conscious. He also happens to be playing some1 who is arguably the best player in the entire pool so there's that. I do think this can b a big turn around point for the kov if he cooks hard in the builder though. A win vs a contender for no. 1 in the pool would b huge for rebounding from a bit of a rough start (if he doesn't bring a PU mon that is, unless its some1 COOL like eggy-a then thats valid af.)

DPP UU: Estarossa vs LpZ - Seeing Estarossa in DPP is like seeing a siberian husky get abandoned in the middle of the Sahara Desert. I think Esta is competent enough to put up a fight, but LpZ is on the stronger end of the pool and favoured here on even footing imo.

SV UU: MAHOH vs avarice - u alrdy know hes loading the nastiest cheese he can conjure. It's gonna win too.

SV UU: Mimilucha vs Star - Surely star doesn't go 0-3 right? Mimi is good, but I think Star is more than capable of identifying a winpath in abt every playable MU here and just pursuing it until he gets there.

SV UU: Feliburn vs mncmt - The instantaneous transformation Feli undergoes when receiving Ksteve support is kinda crazy, and tbh hes lowkey a bit of a threat. Still, sv Mence is not rly some1 you bold against w/o a good reason and I can't come up w 1.

DPP UU: Dj Breloominati♬ vs hariyana grande - I'd b surprised if dj has played more than 3 games of this tier and the smashers just passed Goldcat a scyther team w no spin, FrankekJosheist is also a good player and actually plays this tier.
