The new semester at U. Dunder Oozington Academy has begun! Headmaster Emily has been looking for promising students to fill the vacancies left by the Wizard's War, and has now settled on 8 new classes with 4 instructors! But... she really hopes everyone can share good times with each other. With so many people to meet, including bright students and suspiciously young teachers, this is sure to be U. Dunder Oozington's best graduating class since the War of the Gods!


Basic Training with Penelope

Penelope has two classes this year - Starly Rae Jepsen and the Yolo Swag Poliwags. Both are based on tiny creatures that may seem "less powerful", but Emily knows how to make them break a sweat and stay focused! She has even hinted at taking one of the classes out to dinner after the semester ends! But only the class that performs the best...

Doctor Proctor's Health Class

An education is pointless if you're not healthy and having fun, and that's why this semester the Diancies and Sirfetch'ds will be attending Doctor Proctor's lectures! All of the ladies go crazy for him, and all of the guys want to be him - we can only assume it's because of his sharp wit and vast knowledge of medicine. He pays close attention to exam scores at the end of the semester, so if you perform well in his class, he will let you know about it - personally.

The Great Ninja Warrior Assembly

Since this is the first year of this assembly, it is unknown how the winning group will be celebrated, or how the losing group will be punished...

Week 2 - 1/3 (the other two games did kinda get subbed so idk how to really count this)

GSC: Spacial vs Juno - Jade's game last week was played pretty solidly, Magneton choice was pretty nice in the matchup too. I do feel her play may have got into a pattern a little too much opening up Thor to just spam Earthquake and remove Quag with a crit eventually instead of mixing stuff up with Bello to make it more unlikely, but it was a nicely played game otherwise and good prep. Spacial brought a nice team last week and had a confident win but I found the fact that neither player ever took a chance to Spike up despite quite a lot of opportunities on spacial's end a little sus. This will hopefully be a good game to watch but Jade has been on good form and has fantastic support and is hard to predict against.

GSC: cherryb0ng vs Thepatatedouce - Thepatatedouce won his game last week despite getting haxed quite a lot in the early game by opposing SD scyther to the point I honestly clicked off thinking it was over, so this was pretty nicely recovered into a win. cherry's match facing Stall was unfortunate especially as he'd expressed previously that he wasn't really super happy with piloting Baton Pass teams. Unfortuantely this match didn't play out well, Airfare gave cherry plenty of opportunities to pick up a 2nd agility and win with quagsire but cherry unfortunately never took it in the heat of the moment. Hopefully this week cherry will load something he feels more confident in using and deal with the match stress a bit better as this could be a really good match to watch if he does.

GSC: Diophantine vs TLTK - Dio's prediction sounds accurate here. TLTK didn't really impress me last week teamwise, double Ground teams with Nido+Bull can be heat but I didn't like the set choices here, wasn't fond of the non rest talk hypno, the blizzard pilo, the choice of running RestTalk Bull without a way to get rid of checks to it that easily like Pursuit Electabuzz or making his Pinsir Hp Ground (Hp bug pinsir is honestly so awful but hp ground pinsir has been having some more convincing showings lately in UUPL and would have synergised nicely here). The choice to not run a Qwilfish also didn't sit well with me as Spikes feel almost mandatory on non Stall or certain HO teams, with very few exceptions and this team certainly would have wanted it to help Pinsir and the Ground twins. Hopefully we'll see a better team choice this week but its hard to predict against Dio because of this as the stronger player with better building choices, if Dio is likely subbed out again then this might be more interesting but would probably favour his sub as long as Dio checks over the team choice
