[SET COMMENTS]
  • Deoxys-S clocks in at a blistering base 180 Speed, making it the naturally fastest viable Pokemon in the tier. With a diverse support movepool and passable bulk, Deoxys-S establishes itself as the premier entry hazard setter for hyper offense teams.
  • Magic Coat allows Deoxys-S to bounce opposing Taunt from Grimmsnarl and entry hazards from other suicide leads like Shuckle and Smeargle.
  • Psycho Boost is an alternative to Spikes, giving Deoxys-S a powerful STAB move that can heavily damage anything that tries to take advantage of its relatively passive nature, like Marshadow and Flutter Mane.
  • Rocky Helmet is an alternative to Focus Sash, providing valuable chip damage against foes like Zacian-C, which puts it within OHKO range of Necrozma-DM's Earthquake.
  • While Deoxys-S normally runs a maximum HP and Speed EV spread, it can also opt for a bulkier spread; 16 Speed EVs and a Timid nature allow Deoxys-S to outspeed Deoxys-A and Zacian-C, while the HP and Defense EVs avoid a 2HKO from Arceus's Extreme Speed and Rayquaza's combination of Dragon Ascent + Extreme Speed.
  • Tera Steel allows Deoxys-S to block Mortal Spin from Glimmora, keeping up hazards, as well as giving a crucial resistance to Extreme Speed from Arceus. However, Deoxys-S generally wants to avoid Terastallizing, saving the slot for one of its teammates instead.
  • Deoxys-S is best used as a lead, since it provides little defensive or offensive options to its team, so it is usually worth sacrificing early-game for an extra layer of entry hazards or a fast Taunt to deny opposing sweepers from setting up, such as Mega Salamence and Zygarde-C.
  • The hazards Deoxys-S lays serve as an excellent enabler for powerful sweepers like Arceus-Ground, Zacian-C, Mega Mewtwo Y, Primal Kyogre, and Ultra Necrozma, and teammates like Primal Groudon and Meteor Beam Eternatus can threaten hazard removers, especially Ho-Oh.

  • Deoxys-S clocks in at a blistering base 180 Speed, making it the naturally fastest viable Pokemon in the tier. With a diverse support movepool and passable bulk, Deoxys-S establishes itself as the premiere entry hazard setter for hyper offense teams in National Dex Ubers.
  • Magic Coat allowing allows Deoxys-S to bounce opposing Taunt from Grimmsnarl and entry hazards from other suicide leads like Shuckle and Smeargle.
  • Psycho Boost is an alternative to Spikes, giving Deoxys-S a powerful STAB move that can heavily damage anything that tries to take advantage of Deoxys-S's relatively passive nature, like Marshadow and Flutter Mane.
  • Rocky Helmet is an alternative to Focus Sash, providing valuable chip damage against foes like Zacian-C, which puts it within OHKO range of Necrozma-DM's Earthquake.
  • While Deoxys-S normally runs a max HP and Speed EV spread, it can also opt for a bulkier spread, with the 16 Speed EVs and a Timid nature allowing Deoxys-S to outspeed Deoxys-A and Zacian-C, while the HP and Def Defense EVs avoid a 2HKO from Arceus's Extreme Speed and Rayquaza's combination of Dragon Ascent then + Extreme Speed.
  • Tera Steel allows Deoxys-S to block Mortal Spin from Glimmora, keeping up hazards, as well as giving a crucial resistance against Extreme Speed from Arceus. However, Deoxys-S will generally wants to avoid Terastalizing Terastallizing, saving the slot for one of its teammates instead.
  • Deoxys-S is best when it is used as a lead, since it provides little defensive or offensive options to its team, so it is usually worth sacrificing early-game for an extra layer of entry hazards or a fast Taunt to deny opposing sweepers from setting up, such as Mega Salamence or Zygarde-C.
  • The hazards Deoxys-S lays serve as an excellent enabler for powerful sweepers like Arceus-Ground, Zacian-C, Mega Mewtwo Y, Primal Kyogre, and Ultra Necrozma, while teammates like Primal Groudon and Meteor Beam Eternatus can threaten hazard removers, especially Ho-Oh.

This was a great check, especially for a first one!
- Abbreviations like maximum/minimum should always be written out fully.
- I split the EVs sentence up with a semicolon to avoid an overlong sentence with 4 different clauses in it; it could just be split into 2 normal sentences instead.
- Resistance to, not resistance against.
- 'x and y' is plural, while 'x or y' is singular. If you're referring to multiple things (teammates, threats, foes etc) then you need to use 'and' in lists of examples to ensure agreement. If you're talking about one thing (a teammate, a threat, a foe etc) then you need to use 'or.' Here, 'opposing sweepers' is plural, so 'or' in that sentence needs to be 'and' to have grammatical agreement.
