move 2: Stone Edge

move 4: Swords Dance
item: Life Orb
ability: Adaptability / Regenerator
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
With its great offensive typing and great power further boosted by Adaptability, Terrakion is a decent wallbreaker in AAA, being able to OHKO or 2HKO lots of Pokemon, such as Snorlax, Swampert, and Zapdos, with its STAB moves. It's also a good Stealth Rock setter for more offensive teams thanks to its ability to force out most Defog and Magic Bounce users, including Blissey, Mandibuzz, Zapdos, and Corviknight. Earthquake can be run instead to break through non-Levitate Doublade, which walls Terrakion otherwise, while Megahorn is the most powerful move available against Mew. With Swords Dance, Terrakion can eventually dismantle slower teams. While Adaptability is the preferred option, Regenerator can be used to provide crucial recovery, as between Life Orb, entry hazards, opposing U-turn, and even Rocky Helmet, Terrakion will take lots of residual damage.

Terrakion fits mainly on bulky offense and offense teams, which appreciate that it offensively checks Snorlax and Heatran. Special attackers such as Aerilate Noivern and Sheer Force Kyurem can pressure Dauntless Shield users like Mew; Noivern can also use Switcheroo with its Choice Specs to cripple a problematic defensive Pokemon. In return, Terrakion can pressure specially bulky Pokemon like Blissey and set Stealth Rock. Pokemon immune to Water moves like Desolate Land Victini and Heatran can stop Barraskewda from freely spamming Flip Turn against Terrakion. As a wallbreaker, Terrakion appreciates defensive teammates like Tapu Fini, Toxapex, and Blissey that can take powerful hits for it; Toxapex and Tapu Fini can notably take on Barraskewda, while Blissey checks Noivern and can provide slow pivots with Teleport. Finally, Corviknight, Mandibuzz, and Zapdos can switch in on Ground moves for Terrakion and use Defog to remove entry hazards.

Other Options
=============

A Choice Band set with Close Combat, Stone Edge, Toxic, and Stealth Rock or Earthquake can allow Terrakion to pressure its checks with the additional power and Toxic damage. Rock Slide and Megahorn are also viable moves on this set; Megahorn is notably the most powerful move against Mew. However, due to Choice Band locking Terrakion into a move, this set can be quite easily played around. A Choice Scarf set can be also run with Regenerator or Queenly Majesty to handle fast threats and possibly priority users. Finally, a Scrappy set can be run to lure in and hit Ghost-types that come in on Close Combat at the cost of important wallbreaking power.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Doublade and Palossand**: Both are immune to Close Combat, resist Stone Edge, and have solid physical bulk. As such, Terrakion can't break past them.

**Dauntless Shield and Intimidate users**: Pokemon such as Intimidate Corviknight, Dauntless Shield Hippowdon, and Mew can all check Terrakion thanks to the bulk provided by their abilities and their access to reliable recovery. Hippowdon can OHKO Terrakion back with Earthquake, while Corviknight and Mew can pivot out to a revenge killer with U-turn or Teleport.

**Fairy-types**: Thanks to their Fighting resistance, Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Tapu Bulu can pivot into Close Combat and KO Terrakion back with their STAB moves. Tapu Bulu deserves a special mention since it can OHKO Terrakion with a priority Horn Leech thanks to Triage. All Fairy-types should be wary of switching into Stone Edge and risking a potential 2HKO or OHKO, though.

**Revenge Killers**: Terrakion is prone to being revenge killed by faster Pokemon like Barraskewda, Latios, Noivern, and the aforementioned Triage Tapu Bulu, which can all OHKO Terrakion with their STAB moves. Choice Scarf users like Victini can also revenge kill Terrakion once it has been sufficiently weakened.

Life Orb is the item of choice, boosting damage input without lock Terrakion in a move.

A Choice Band set with Close Combat / Stone Edge / Toxic / Stealth Rock or Earthquake can allow Terrakion to pressure its checks with the additional power and Toxic damage. However, due to Choice Band locking Terrakion into a move, this set can be quite easily played around. Earthquake can run instead Stealth Rock to try to break trough non-Levitate Doublade, that wall Terrakion otherwise. However, the utility provided by Stealth Rock will often be more valuable. Finally, a Scrappy set can be run to lure in and hits Ghost-types that would come in Close Combat, at cost to lose a important wallbreaking power.

add other options over sr on the set, since not every team needs rocks on terrak. would reccomend rock polish/megahorn/eq as options there for the third on a sd set.

mention megahorn/rock slide as options on the choice band set. also give a mention a sacrf set as well with regen or queenly.

looks fine aside from that 2/2.
