name: Offensive
move 1: Rock Slide
move 2: Close Combat
move 3: Helping Hand / Stomping Tantrum
move 4: Protect
item: White Herb / Lum Berry
ability: Justified
nature: Jolly
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

* Terrakion's great offensive typing, fairly high Attack stat, and base 108 Speed allows it to outpace and dominate some of the biggest threats in the metagame such as Zapdos, Galarian Moltres, Charizard and Urshifu-S.
Beat Up users such as Dragapult and Whimsicott can also use Terrakion's Justified to boost its Attack to extremely high levels.

* Rock Slide is Terrakion's Rock-type STAB of choice, as it is a fairly consistent spread move with a chance to flinch that threatens opponents such as Galarian Moltres, Zapdos, and Torkoal. Max Rockfall can be used to break momentum of weather-based teams by setting up sand.

* Close Combat : Close Combat deals massive damage to opponents such as Urshifu-S, Glastrier, and Incineroar, but the drop in defenses can put Terrakion in a difficult situation. Using Close Combat is a good way to secure a hit, because Rock Slide can miss and ruin a game. Terrakion can also increase its Attack stat by using Max Knuckle in order to become even more threatening.

* Helping Hand is a great support move, as it gives a boost to Terrakion's teammates when attacking. In general, it helps offensive teammates such as Dragapult, Venusaur, and Torkoal deal with bulkier threats when Terrakion hasn't used Dynamax.
Stomping Tantrum is a coverage option that hits metagame staples like Metagross. It can also be used to boost Special Defense when Dynamaxed.

* White Herb lets Terrakion stay on the field against Intimidate users, such as Incineroar and Landorus-T, it's useful to ignore drops in Terrakion's defenses from Close Combat. It also prevents Terrakion's stats from being lowered by Max Moves such as Max Wyrmwind and Max Phantasm once.
Lum Berry allows Terrakion to shake off a multitude of status inducing attacks such as Dragapult's Will-O-Wisp, Amoonguss's Spore and Venusaur's Sleep Powder.

Please stick to the template given here, you can just copy/paste it to be sure it is correct.
Titles such as name, move 1,2,3,4 etcetera mustn't be bolded.
Stats names used on the evs line must be abbreviated like this: HP, Atk, Def, SpA, SpD, Spe.
For Analyses we usually are very usage dependent, Swords Dance has less than 10% usage and Quick Guard even worse, while options such as Stomping Tanturum and Helping Hand have at least 30% and are therefore worth mentioning. You can watch usage stats
here if you don't know what to put on a set.

[SET COMMENTS]

* (you have to put a bullet point at the beginning of each paragraph) Rock Slide : As an offensive speed rock mon fast offensive Rock-type Pokemon, Terrakion is a big threat in VGC, with a base speed stat of 108 base speed, totally to his advantage, he will be faster than a lot of pokemon with a great usage, threats such as Zapdos-galar (normal form too), Charizard, and Urshifu (specify which forme). This is why it is important to play with Jolly nature. (add a sentence about Beat Up techs, Terrakion is mostly used as a Beat Up recipient after all)

* Rock Slide (the set comments titles mustn't be bolded) is by far the best rock type attack you can put on Terrakion when you are playing VGC Rock Slide is Terrakion's Rock-type STAB of choice, as it is a fairly consistent spread move with a chance to flinch.,
it hits both foes and has 30% chance to flinch them, this is the best point with this move, it gives a decisive side (let's blend this one with the point before). Because of this move, he's a real threat, in particular to sun teams, fire mons, flying and non-defensive mons (try to rephrase this sentence a bit, adding mentions like this: Rock Slide can threaten Fire- and Flying-types such as G-Max Charizard and Torkoal). With almost 95% usage, this move is mandatory on Terrakion. (we can cut this entirely, we already explained why it's mandatory) (Using Max Rockfall is a good way to break momentum of sun teams) (try to add this as a sentence and not just a Post Scriptum)

* Close Combat : The second stab, with 120 power and 100% accuracy this time, this is the strongest fight move Terrakion can learn Close Combat is Terrakion's strongest Fighting-type STAB move. Terrakion is a pure breaker, he doesn't really need an other style of fight move, because the goal is to do as many kills as possible. He's the one who needs support, and not the other way around, and like this, he looks like a cleaner and this is exactly what we need, to put down glastriers, ferrothorns, urshifu single-strike, porygon2 and others, without letting them opportunity to have the momentum, with trick room for example, or to kill us before we kill them, as urshifu. (this whole section isn't about Close Combat but the Pokemon itself, try taking these sentences, rephrase them a bit and add them to the Pokemon's introduction, in the move section you must talk about ups and downs of the move, how it impacts the metagame and what can it can kill. for Close Combat I'd say that despite being powerful, the defense drops make Terrakion frailer). It's also a good way to secure a hit instead, because if rock slide Rock Slide misses, it can really turn the game into hard put the game in a difficult situation. (thinking about incineroar) (add a sentence about Max Knuckle and how it can boost Terrakion's Attack)

Sword Dance / Quick Guard : Sword Dance multiplies user atk by 2, it's not a must have on Terrakion, but his defensive stats aren't that bad (90 for both) and if we are using good cores to support Terrakion, he will be safe to SD, and then, able to ohko Porygon2 for example.
Here's the calc Before SD : 252 Atk Terrakion Close Combat vs. 244 HP / 124 Def Eviolite Porygon2: 132-156 (69.1 - 81.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

After SD : +2 252 Atk Terrakion Close Combat vs. 244 HP / 124 Def Eviolite Porygon2: 260-308 (136.1 - 161.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
It's an example, but it shows a lot how playing SD can turn the game to our advantage.
Quick Guard now : It protects Terrakion & his allies from priority attacks, there are not lot of thing to say about it, but it's a great way to prevent a Fake Out or a Grassy Glide.

View attachment 338230
(I removed those moves from the main set so there's no point to keep their paragraph, also, analyses do not include images)

Protect : One of mandatory moves to play on Terrakion in my opinion. Protect is useful on pratically any Pokemon in this format, we can scout a choice lock pokemon, take a D-Max or G-Max attack without die and spend away an oppo advantage, it can be terrain, weather or trick room. Particulary in endgame, this is a good way to mentally pressure the opponent. (Keep in mind that Urshifu's moves bypass protect)

(There's no need to explain what Protect does even tough yours was really good explanation, add a paragraph about Helping Hand instead and how it can help allies after the Dynamax turn pass)

* White hHerb is a good way to be not be forced to change our gameplan into SD or a switch out into switching out when we are facing a Pokemon with Intimidate, such as Incineroar and Landorus-T, (thinking about Incineroar and Landorus-T) and even when we are hitting to ignore the Defense drops of Close Combat. It can also prevents us too from an opponent d-max attack stat drop Terrakion's stats from being lowered by Dynamax attacks such as Max Wyrmwind and Max Phantasm.
(rephrasing)
* Life Orb is pratically the nicest way to have a pure beastial Terrakion, even if we have to be careful about the recoil of the item each turn, it turns Terrakion into a real beast and a good point in the mental pressure of opponent, by hitting very strong.
(try rephrasing it explaining why the 30% boosting is so useful and maybe what OHKOs it can get with the Life Orb that otherwise won't take)

* Lum Berry is a way to cure all statues, it's not an useless item to put on Terrakion,. viewing Wolfey run a Will-o-Wisp Dragapult at player cup must put us in mind that some teams are really weak to terrak and will always try to para/burn him, to don't have to care of him anymore. Lum Berry allows Terrakion to shake off a multitude of status inducing attacks such as Dragapult's Will-O-Wisp, Amoonguss's Spore and Venusaur's Sleep Powder.

Your analysis had some flaws but what you wrote wasn't wrong, writing an analysis is really hard so don't worry. Implement these changes and @ me when done, i'll give one last check and then stamp it.

evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe (you forgot to unbold these)

Terrakion is a breaker, he doesn't need an other style of playing, he's the one who needs support to be able to break Porygon2 and others Trick Room users for example, or momentum based cores without letting them the opportunity to have the momentum, with trick room for example.

[SET COMMENTS]

* Rock Slide : As a fast offensive Rock-type Pokemon, Terrakion is a big threat in VGC, with a base speed stat of 108, he will be faster than a lot of threats such Terrakion's great offensive typing, fairly high Attack stat, and base 108 Speed allows it to outpace and dominate some of the biggest threats in the metagame such as Zapdos, Galarian Moltres, Charizard and Urshifu-S (Single Strike form). This is why it is important to play with Jolly nature.
(The advantage is that by combining with a support that uses beat up on Terrakion, and then activate Justified ability, you can multiply Terrakion's attack and be in a strong position.)

Justified allows Terrakion's Attack to rise extremely high when partnered with Beat Up users such as Dragapult and Whimsicott

* Rock Slide Rock Slide is Terrakion's Rock-type STAB of choice, as it is a fairly consistent spread move with a chance to flinch that threatens opponents such as Galarian Moltres, Zapdos and Torkoal. with a chance to flinch. Because of this move, he's a real threat, in particular to sun teams, fire mons, flying and non-defensive mons. Also, using Max Rockfall is a good way can be used to break momentum of weather based teams by changing weather conditions.

* Close Combat: Close Combat is Terrakion's strongest Fighting-type STAB move.(RD) By using this, you do huge damage, but defensive drops put you in danger that deals massive damage to opponents such as Urshifu-S, Glastrier, and Incineroar, but the drops in defenses can put Terrakion in a difficult situation. Using Close Combat is a good way to secure a hit, because if Rock Slide misses, it can put the game in a difficult situation Rock Slide can miss and ruin a game. You Terrakion can also increase your its attack stat by using Max Knuckle and threaten more in order to become even more threatening.

* Helping Hand / Stomping Tanturum : Helping Hand is one of the best support non damaging moves you can run on Terrakion,(RC) after other than protect, as it gives an advantage boost on to the attack that the teammate will use. In general, it helps with his offensives common teammates such as Dragapult, Venusaur or Torkoal deal with bulkier threats when you don't Dynamax Terrakion, in case of you dynamax one of them, it will surprise the opponent.
* Stomping Tanturum: This is the ground move to put instead of Earthquake, because Stomping Tanturum is a single target move a coverage option that hits metagame staples like Metagross. It can also be an advantage to play this by using Max Quake to increase Terrakion's and ally's SpD used to boost Special Defense when Dynamaxed.
(Blending those two mentions)

* White Hherb is a good way to not be forced into switching out when we are facing a Pokemon with Intimidate, such as Incineroar and Landorus-T and even when to ignore the Defense drops of Close Combat. It also prevents Terrakion's stats from being lowered by Dynamax attacks Max Moves such as Max Wyrmwind and Max Phantasm. Lum Berry allows Terrakion to shake off a multitude of status inducing attacks such as Dragapult's Will-O-Wisp, Amoonguss's Spore and Venusaur's Sleep Powder.
(let's blend the two points)

* Life Orb : With the 30% Atk boosting on Terrakion, it turns him into a danger

and makes
Terrakion ohko many Pokemon that he can't ohko without this item.
For example :
252 Atk Terrakion Close Combat vs. 244 HP / 124 Def Eviolite Porygon2: 132-156 (69.1 - 81.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (Without Life Orb)
252 Atk Life Orb Terrakion Close Combat vs. 244 HP / 124 Def Eviolite Porygon2: 172-203 (90 - 106.2%) -- 25% chance to OHKO (With Life Orb)

Same with Glastrier : 252 Atk Terrakion Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Glastrier: 164-194 (79.2 - 93.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (Without LO)

252 Atk Life Orb Terrakion Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Glastrier: 213-252 (102.8 - 121.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO (With LO)
(Let's remove Life Orb, it has less than 10% usage and Justified usually makes you kill everything even without 30% boosting, also, for future analyses, don't include calcs in your sentences.)

* Lum Berry allows Terrakion to shake off a multitude of status inducing attacks such as Dragapult's Will-O-Wisp, Amoonguss's Spore and Venusaur's Sleep Powder.

A GP check where the grammar and prose of sentences is adjusted.
We want our analyses to be as perfect as possible so this phase is as important as a QC.
In order to get your analysis GP checked you have to post the link of your thread here: https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/grammar-prose-team-queue-brave-new-world.3656657/
saying that your analysis is ready for GP.
Also change the title like this: Terrakion (QC 1/1) (GP 0/1)
Once those awesome people are done, implement their changes and move the thread to Done.
Then your analysis will be uploaded
