We've decided to end this round of surveying. Thanks to the 83 of you who shared your thoughts! The results for the surveys are as follows:
Terastallization (option: # respondents, percentage of total)
1 Tera Captain without Tera Type Preview: 42, 50.6%
1 Tera Captain with Tera Type Preview: 23, 27.7%
Ban Terastallization: 18, 21.7%
Nothing too surprising here, just over half the vote being for 1 captain without preview, and a large minority being for banning it entirely. Despite this slight majority in favour of no preview, the staff and the tiering team (massive thanks to
Almighty Rye,
GeniusX,
Hacker,
JCMShadow and
Venoo for helping with the seasonal tiering) have decided to use the
1 Tera Captain with Tera Type Preview format for the Summer Seasonal.
While this does go against the majority opinion, we believe that preview leads to a healthier metagame while also sharply reducing the number of complex bans, and thus deserves to be tested at a tournament wide scale.
Leppa Berry & Revival Blessing
Leave both legal: 32, 38.6%
Ban Revival Blessing: 30, 36.1%
Ban Leppa Berry: 21, 25.2%
By far the most divisive of the votes, there was no majority opinion here but, one thing was for sure, more than 60% of people wanted some form of action and 60% also believed Revival Blessing is not problematic enough to warrant a ban. Given this, we decided to go with what was the least popular course of action,
banning Leppa Berry. This is because the item serves little to no niche outside of usage with Revival Blessing.
Shed Tail
Leave it banned: 56, 67.5%
Legalise it: 27, 32.5%
Pretty straight forward here, a supermajority of the player base wants to see it banned so Shed Tail will remain banned for the Summer Seasonal. There's definitely scope to test the move in future tours but there simply isn't the community support to free it at this current moment.
