Howdy everyone, and welcome to the DUU 2022 Kickoff Tournament! This will be an unofficial tournament, and will not count for circuit points. I’m hosting this as an opportunity for everyone to have a chance to get their feet wet into Doubles Underused. The tournament format will be Swiss, as that maximizes the opportunity for games played, and the number of rounds will depend on how many signups we receive. (I suspect it will be either 4 or 5 rounds). Each round will last one week. There will be no playoff, unless in the event of a tie with no head-to-head tiebreaker, then the winner will be determined by a bo3 matchup.
Tournament Rules:
- General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
- Standard SS DUU Rules; All normal Doubles Rules and Clauses apply.
- Best-of-three to win the set, you may change teams between games.
- Battles should take place on Pokémon Showdown.
- Replays are required for the tournament to encourage metagame development.
