EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
- Triple Axel
- Ice Shard

Sneasel has weaseled its way to higher viability thanks to the defensive utility it offers in a metagame where Espeon dominates. Its dual STAB moves in Knock Off and Triple Axel are capable of wearing down its switch-ins like Weezing and Regirock so it can clean late-game with Swords Dance. Ice Shard lets Sneasel pick off foes like Ribombee and Whimsicott that outspeed it, with minimal chip after a Swords Dance. Sneasel is frail despite being able to come in on Psychic-type attacks, so it appreciates the support of slow pivots like Togedemaru and Wishiwashi. Entry hazard support from the likes of Palossand and Qwilfish are also a boon in order to wear down switch-ins like Poliwrath, with Palossand having the added benefit of annoying defensive Espeon. Wallbreakers like Gallade and Galarian Articuno can wear down opposing teams for Sneasel to clean later on; in return, it provides crucial speed control by threatening out chipped Charizard and Ribombee.

Sneasel has weaseled its way to higher viability thanks to the defensive utility an offensive Dark-type offers in a meta where Espeon dominates. Its dual STAB in Knock Off and Triple Axel are powerful options, capable of wearing down its switchins like Weezing and Regirock so it can clean late-game with Swords Dance. Ice Shard rounds out the set, picking off what outspeeds it, like Rimbombee and Whimsicott, with minimal chip after a Swords Dance. Sneasel is frail despite being able to come in on Psychic-type STABs, so it appreciates the support of slow pivots like Togedemaru and Wishiwashi. Entry hazards support from the likes of Palossand and Qwilfish are also a boon in order to wear down switchins like Poliwrath, with both of them having the added benefit of annoying defensive Espeon. (palo makes sense here, but i don't see how qwil annoys defensive espy if "both of them" = both palossand and qwilfish.) Wallbreakers like Gallade and Galarian Articuno can wear down opposing teams for Sneasel to clean later on; in return, it provides crucial speed control in threatening out Charizard and a chipped Ribombee. (i feel like you should put "chipped" before charizard instead to imply that both need to be worn down, or perhaps reword the sentence so that it explicitly states that. you don't kill zard without having a boost first, and it's usu not gonna switch in on you and risk taking a knock.)
