personal highlights:

SV OU: Punny vs Rubyblood - ruby's play has been precise and his team choices have been really really cool. punny brought the first dirge ive seen in months and it did pretty well. their playstyles / team preferences are pretty different too which is notable in this meta so i wonder how it'll factor into the prep and teams we see. ruby might show up w his signature specs enam and punny pulls up w the classic garg balance he likes

ORAS OU: Gondra vs CrashinBoomBang - if shoob werent 0-2 id say gondra gives me that vibe where he just pulls up w some random team and goobs but cbb is super hungry to turn the record around. this games interesting cus gondra isnt really an oras mainer and reliant on others for teams, id imagine a lot of manager support (tricking/italian oras etc) which makes it annoying to prep but i feel like raiders are gonna get scared in the prep phase and try to cheese here and cbb will bring some Strong mons like pinsir or gallade, the ol reliables

BW OU: Jisoo vs SoulWind - gonna be a cool one but i really hope we dont see a mirror match, these goobers both are obsessed with that damn hippo

RBY OU: Kenix vs Heroic Troller - big fan of carapinga and hes playing final boss part 1

SS OU: TDNT vs MichaelderBeste2 - the uncle vs heute, possibly the best ss player atm coming off a masters win and various other ss accolades is sure to be a great game. the uncle is aiming to prove himself to be a top ss player beyond just the playoffs clutch last spl and beating heute will entrench his name. my personal predict: i will always have faith in the uncle

ORAS OU: Niko vs fade - jerk war. nikos been playing great this spl and his teams have been pretty cool, hes always had a penchant for the creative (think he used magnet zap once in oras which completely destroyed a clefable and i thought that was rly cool). this week will be a great test to see if he can cement himself as a top oraser against big bad fadesheisty aka gojo

SV OU: xavgb vs Trosko - let’s see what kinda footie scran xavs cookin innit mate (glad he’s playing, interested to see what his take on this meta is)

ORAS OU: Santu vs xray - tuz vs xray, santu is still cooking as always and xray should give him a fight if his chansey has a status move

ADV OU: Conflict vs Triangles - conflict is fine at adv but it is disappointing to see him taken out of gsc… we’ll have to see if this swap pays off more than just tossing vileman into adv would

BW OU: Jisoo vs SoulWind - expecting both to use something quirky, potentially to the point of harm. both play well and sw is in his element (clicking protect while opponents flounder), so it’ll be interesting to see how jisoo looks to get an edge this week

RBY OU: Kenix vs Heroic Troller - both 2-0, kenix has looked good but troller is troller so this will be a big test for pinga

RBY OU: Gefährlicher Random vs Serpi - civil war, either of felix 0-3 or serpi 1-2 were not predicted by many before this tour but obviously both have higher ceilings than that too

1 highlight from each series

SV OU: oldspicemike vs JJ09LIE - both players have just been quietly killing it in sv. Good, meta pioneering team choices from both. Neither one is particularly loud either so it might not have the name brand of some other matchups but I think it's gonna be a great game between 2 SV ou trailblazers.

BW OU: Nalorium vs Rewer - two players who I think are better than their records. That being said, I think Nalo has shown some non-SPL-level gaming and he needs to cut that out, this is the big leagues so those won't fly. Rewer also hasn't done much to wow me yet, sticking to just sand and nothing amazing on the battlefield. One of them has to end up 0-3 this week so it might end up looking like a race to not-lose, which nobody wants to see. Play with your dicks out boys!!!

SS OU: entrocefalo vs damien the genius - Both are coming off pretty bad beats from last week. I haven't ever seen entro play SS so either I'm out of the loop or the raiders are reaaaal desperate to get TPP off the lineup. Either way, change of pace might be good for entro. Damien went from a megafire week 1 win to one of the worst losses I've seen in a while week 2. IMO he will treat it as a wake-up call and take this week more seriously, so I think we get a good game out of both players really wanting this win.

SS OU: TDNT vs MichaelderBeste2 - I'm a big TDNT fan after last week. Calling your oppo on BS activity, staying up late to make sure the game gets done and not letting any double subs risk your win, and then smashing your opponent anyway? Super fuego. MDB is MDB. Last week game was actually what toying with your food looks like. Man was on a mission to embarrass 3d for some reason. Hopefully they play early so we see some tryhardery out of MDB and a good game to follow. If it's sunday late afternoon, TDNT you better come equipped with 2 dittos or something.

SV OU: hellom vs lax - hellom was the only OU starter whose name I didn't recognize coming in to the season. He is already doing a good job of trying to get that name out there. Stylin' with comfey week 1 and a nice game over Fogbound will definitely help turn heads. Lax in CG is another big obstacle though. It's a little too early to decide if the lax coin is flipping heads or tails this season being as he is 1-1, so maybe this game is the start of more to come, whether thats 5 more losses or 5 more wins. That being said, should be a good game.
