[OVERVIEW]
Slowking's useful resistances, excellent ability in Regenerator, and superb natural bulk make it one of the best defensive pivots in the metagame. These traits, combined with Teleport, allow Slowking to consistently force progress against many teams by allowing wallbreakers such as Thundurus-T to enter the field safely. Due to its incredible bulk and typing, Slowking can easily come in on threats like Keldeo, Celesteela, Excadrill, and Nihilego and then pivot to a revenge killer with Teleport. However, as a result of its somewhat below average physical defense, Slowking is unable to consistently wall strong physical attackers such as Swords Dance Excadrill. Slowking also gets forced out by threats such as Aegislash, Zarude, and Thundurus-T quite easily due to its initial passivity and can get overwhelmed by status from Pokemon it checks like Toxic from Excadrill and Sludge Bomb poisons from Nihilego. Slowking's typing also holds it back, as it is weak to U-turn as well as Knock Off. Slowking competes with Chansey for the role of a defensive pivot, as Chansey isn't weak to foes such as Hydreigon. Slowking also competes with Primarina, which has a better defensive typing and a better matchup against Hydreigon.

[SET]

move 2: Psychic / Future Sight
move 3: Slack Off
move 4: Teleport
item: Colbur Berry / Heavy-Duty Boots
ability: Regenerator

ivs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Scald reduces Slowking's passivity, burning switch-ins like Aegislash and Tapu Bulu. Psychic threaten foes such as Amoonguss as they switch in. Additionally, Psychic discourages Conkeldurr from staying in to use Knock Off. Future Sight can be used instead to support Slowking's wallbreaking teammates. In addition to being an excellent pivot move, Teleport works well with Future Sight to bring in an offensive teammate such as Conkeldurr to capitalize on Future Sight absorbers, which are mainly Dark-types. Colbur Berry allows Slowking to avoid an OHKO from Conkeldurr's Knock Off, improve its matchup against Mamoswine, and give it the ability to pivot against Hydreigon with Teleport. 0 Speed IVs let Slowking underspeed opposing Slowking and gain momentum with a slower Teleport. 16 Special Defense EVs with a Sassy nature improve Slowking's matchup against foes such as Primarina and Moltres; however, it should be noted that this worsens Slowking's matchup against Excadrill.

Slowking fits best on bulky offense, VoltTurn, and balance teams that appreciate its ability to tank special attacks and pivot in strong wallbreakers. Frail wallbreakers such as Zygarde-10%, and Thundurus-T appreciate Slowking's ability to safely pivot them onto the field via Teleport. These teammates also enjoy Future Sight pressuring Amoonguss and Nihilego. Slowking forms an excellent defensive core with Grass-types such as Amoonguss, Tangrowth, and Tapu Bulu, which appreciate its ability to switch into Fire-type attacks and check Poison-types such as Tentacruel. In return, they can come in on the Grass- and Electric-types like Tapu Bulu, Zarude, and Thundurus-T. Slowking forms a strong pivot core with Moltres, with Moltres pressuring Grass-types such as Tangrowth and Tapu Bulu and Slowking checking foes such as Keldeo. Slowking struggles against Ghost-types such as Aegislash and Chandelure and values teammates that threaten them, such as Hydreigon and Mandibuzz. Slowking appreciates entry hazard control from teammates such as Excadrill, Mandibuzz, and Rotom-H. Skarmory is also a good teammate for Slowking, as it checks Zarude easily and helps against Mamoswine, Conkeldurr, and Azumarill. Its Whirlwind also synergizes with Future Sight, heavily damaging shared checks like Thundurus-T or outright KOing Fighting-types. Slowking enjoys cleric support from Pokemon like Galarian Weezing to deal with status.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Calm Mind Slowking can be used on bulkier teams to provide a wincon. A specially defensive set makes it much easier for Slowking to deal with threats such as Primarina and Nihilego and more difficult for foes like Aegislash and Thundurus-T to force it out; this set typically runs Psyshock over Psychic or Future Sight. Psyshock can be used over Psychic or Future Sight to prevent Slowking from becoming setup fodder for Calm Mind + Substitute Primarina and Meteor Beam Nihilego, though it makes Slowking more vulnerable to Conkeldurr. Thunder Wave cripples common answers such as Hydreigon; however, running it instead of Psyshock leaves Slowking walled by foes such as Calm Mind Keldeo and Calm Mind Primarina. Running Thunder Wave over Teleport is also fine, as long as the team has enough pivot support. This can open some doors for teammates like Conkeldurr and Calm Mind Jirachi, as Conkeldurr is faster than paralyzed Hydreigon and Zarude, and Jirachi outspeeds revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Hydreigon and Choice Scarf Zarude if they are paralyzed.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Dark-types such as Zarude and Hydreigon wall Slowking due to their Psychic immunity and Scald resistance. Zarude is an especially good answer to Slowking, as it can heal off Scald burns via Jungle Healing. Galarian Moltres can use Slowking as setup fodder and OHKO it with +2 Fiery Wrath.

**Grass-types**: Tapu Bulu and Tangrowth threaten Slowking immensely with their supereffective attacks. In particular, Tapu Bulu can OHKO Slowking or use it as setup fodder, but it should be wary of Scald. Amoonguss threatens Slowking with Spore and Sludge Bomb poisons, but it can be worn down by Psychic if it is not running Synthesis.

**Wallbreakers**: Wallbreakers such as Swords Dance Aegislash are able to muscle through Slowking using their boosts.Foes such as Conkeldurr can break through Slowking, even without boosts.

**Status**:Status forces Slowking to use Slack Off more often. Chansey is difficult for Slowking to overcome, as it can cripple Slowking with Toxic and shrug off Scald burns with Natural Cure. Slowking is also vulnerable to status from Pokemon it checks, such as Toxic poison from Excadrill and Skarmory, Sludge Bomb poisons from Nihilego, and Scald burns from Primarina.

Not QC, please defer to them, my thoughts:

:SS/Slowking:

[OVERVIEW]
Generalize what the Pokemon does in the metagame and as a whole and why you should or shouldn't consider using it on your teams.
- Slowking's amazing typing useful resistances (the Knock Off, U-Turn, and Volt Switch weakness in particular mean it's typing is not amazing), excellent ability in Regenerator, and superb natural bulk make it one of the best specially defensive pivots in the metagame.
- These traits combined with Teleport to enable pivoting, particular to strong attackers, (I imagine Future Sight isn't even necessary, the pivoting is the more important part) and Future Sight allow Slowking to consistently force progress against many teams.
- Using Regenerator, Slowking is able to come onto the field much more often, giving it more opportunities to provide Future Sight support for its teammates. Seems redundant with your other overview points
- Due to its incredible bulk and typing, it can easily come into Special Attackers such as Keldeo-R, Azelf, and Nihilego, then Teleport out to a revenge killer.
- As a result of its poor somewhat below average defence defense, Slowking is unable to wall strong physical attackers such as Conkeldurr and Excadrill, though it can annoy the latter with Scald. You may need to rework this if QC tells you to make the set physically defensive
- Slowking's typing may prove to be its Waterloo, as it is also weak to Knock Off and U-turn, two prominent moves in the metagame.
- Slowking also competes with Chansey for the role of a specially defensive pivot, as Chansey isn't weak to foes such as Hydreigon.

[SET]
name: Defensive Pivot
move 1: Teleport
move 2: Psychic / Future Sight
move 3: Scald
move 4: Slack Off
item: Heavy-Duty Boots
ability: Regenerator
nature: Sassy Relaxed
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
- consult with QC before taking my advice, but I don't find specially defensive optimal, physically defensive lets you stay in much more easily vs Mienshao, Excadrill, Mamoswine, Krookodile, Lycanroc, Azumarill, and Conkeldurr which are all useful, more so than what SpDef helps with.

[SET COMMENTS]

Paragraph 1
- In addition to being an excellent pivoting move, Teleport works well with Future Sight, bringing in Offensive Pokémon such as Conkeldurr and Mienshao to capitalize on opponents wanting to bring Dark-types onto the field.
- Teleport can also be dropped for Thunder Wave on slower teams, as paralysis annoys faster Pokémon such as Mienshao and Hydreigon. Use another example since you rather OHKO Mienshao with Psychic as you point out later
- Psychic is used to reduce Slowking's passivity, allowing it to threaten foes such as Conkeldurr and Mienshao as they switch in.
- As mentioned earlier, Future Sight is used to pressure opposing teams and increases Slowking's teammates' wallbreaking potential.
- Scald also reduces Slowking's passivity while also threatening opposing Physical Attackers switching in. Mention more targets, Excadrill, Mamoswine, and Azumarill might work, you can think of others and mention the burn chance.
- Slack Off significantly increases Slowking's longevity, increasing its walling capabilities without having to rely on constantly switching.
- Heavy-Duty Boots allow Slowking to pivot into the field freely without getting chipped by hazards such as Stealth Rock and Spikes. Mention Colbur berry behing helpful, especially with Psychic, to be a more reliable Conkeldurr check
- 0 Speed IVs can be are used on Slowking with the objective of using Teleport last against other Slowking, thus gaining momentum.

Paragraph 2
- Slowking fits best on Bulky Offense and VoltTurn teams that appreciate its ability to tank special attacks and pivot to strong wallbreakers.
- Frail Pokemon such as Lycanroc-D, Zygarde-10%, and Sneasel appreciate Slowking's ability to safely pivot them onto the field via Teleport. Excellent examples.
- Slowking forms an excellent core with Pokemon such as Amoonguss, Tangrowth, and Tapu Bulu that appreciate Slowking's presence on teams due not only to their synergy through typing, but Slowking's ability to check foes such as Nidoking and Moltres that otherwise threaten them. In return, Amoonguss, Tangrowth, and Tapu Bulu can come in on many physical attackers that threaten Slowking like Rhyperior and Zarude.
- Slowking can also form a strong VoltTurn core with Moltres, with Moltres being able to switch into Grass-types such as Amoonguss Tangrowth better here since Amoong can get hurt by Psychic and variants of Tapu Bulu, while Slowking is able to switch into foes such as Keldeo that would otherwise pressure Moltres with Hydro Pump. Not sure I'd call it a voltturn core if Slowking gets neither Volt Switch not U-Turn/Flip Turn - you can just call it a pivoting core.
- It also synergizes well with Dark-types such as Sneasel and Hydreigon that appreciate Slowking's ability to pressure foes such as Conkeldurr and Mienshao through Future Sight.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
- Psyshock can be used over Psychic or Future Sight to prevent Slowking from becoming setup fodder for Substitute Calm Mind Primarina and Keldeo. Added substitute here since Calm Mind Rest Primarina still beats Slowking.
- A defensive set with Colbur Berry can also be used, allowing Slowking to take pressure off of other defensive Pokémon on the team. Mention Conkeldurr here and possible Krookodile as well as Colbur berry reasons
Mention Calm Mind Psyshock as a set

Checks and Counters
===================

**Hydreigon**: Not only does Hydreigon resist both of Slowking's STABs, but it can also use Substitute and setup freely on Slowking. Make this dark types and include Zarude or include Zarude above this, Zarude should be the first mention

Mention Grass types or at least Tapu Bulu and Tangrowth

**Physical Wallbreakers**: Physical wallbreakers are easily able to break past Slowking's meagre defences. Conkeldurr in particular is a threat to Slowking, as it doesn't mind being burned by Scald and can 2HKO Slowking using Facade. Again this may need to be rethought if they want a physically defensive set

**Knock Off/Trick**: Slowking's ability to function as a defensive pivot is reduced when it loses its Heavy-Duty Boots because Slowking now has to contend with possible Stealth Rock Damage, forcing it to use Slack Off or switchout more often. Trick severely cripples Slowking as it loses its ability to wall anything well, as well as forcing it to just be a scout for opponents moves.

**Status**: Slowking is also brutally crippled by burn and toxic poisons, as they force Slowking to use Slack Off more often. Slowking especially hates Toxic, as that reduces its walling capabilities significantly. Wouldn't say Burn brutally cripples Slowking, it's more like mildly annoy, maybe just include Toxic and mention Toxic users like Chansey

Implement Pif's AM check and I'll give this a look after. Make the set physically defensive with Colbur as the first item slash, you can mention more spdef evs in the set details. (Move Colbur out of other options when doing this). Agree with everything he wrote, except I probably would keep mention of its typing (given we're making phys def colbur the main set its not rly knock weak either), but talk more about why its typing is useful.

- Slowking's useful resistances, excellent ability in Regenerator, and superb natural bulk make it one of the best specially defensive pivots in the metagame.
- These traits combined with Teleport to enable pivoting, allow Slowking to consistently force progress against many teams by bringing in dangerous wallbreakers like Mienshao and Thundurus-T. also talk about how in conjunction with heavy duty boots it has insane longevity
- Due to its incredible bulk and typing, it can easily come in on many threats like Keldeo, Celesteeela, Excadrill, Special Attackers such as Keldeo-R, Azelf, and Nihilego, then Teleport out to a revenge killer.
- As a result of its somewhat below-average defense, Slowking is unable to consistently wall strong physical attackers such as Conkeldurr and Excadrill, though it can annoy the latter with Scald. talk about its vulnerability to letting in threats like aegislash, zarude, and thundurus-t in easily
- Slowking's typing may prove to be its Waterloo, as it is also weak to Knock Off and U-turn, two prominent moves in the metagame.
- Slowking also competes with Chansey for the role of a defensive pivot, as Chansey isn't weak to foes such as Hydreigon.

- Colbur Berry is used to allow Slowking to take pressure off of other defensive Pokémon on the team, as well as beat prominent Knock Off users such as Conkeldurr and Krookodile. just change this to saying it helps limit entry opportunities for conkeldurr and can check mamoswine in a pinch
- Heavy-Duty Boots can also be used, allowing Slowking to pivot into the field freely without getting chipped by hazards such as Stealth Rock and Spikes.
- A specially defensive set can also be used on Slowking, as it is able to deal with threats such as Primarina Keldeo and Nihilego significantly easier.

- It also synergizes well with Dark-types such as Sneasel and Hydreigon that appreciate Slowking's ability to pressure foes such as Conkeldurr and Mienshao through Future Sight.
in general when writing articles avoid using very niche Pokemon unless they're a clear partner to them. These articles are for newer players so they should know what are the most viable options to use rn, sneasel isn't that.

Phys Def Slowking is not a Nidoking pivot In return, Amoonguss, Tangrowth, and Tapu Bulu they can come in on many Grass- and Electric-types that threaten Slowking like Tapu Bulu, Zarude, and Thundurus-T.
- Slowking can also form a strong pivoting core with Moltres, with Moltres being able to pressure Grass-types such as Tangrowth and variants of Tapu Bulu, It pressures any Tapu Bulu so I am not sure what you mean by variants while Slowking is able to switch into foes such as Keldeo that would otherwise pressure Moltres.
- Slowking also struggles against Ghost-types such as Aegislash and Chandelure. As a result, it appreciates teammates that are able to threaten them such as Hydreigon and Mandibuzz.
- Furthermore, Slowking appreciates hazard control from teammates such as Excadrill, Mandibuzz, and Rotom-H, as it dislikes being worn down by entry hazards.

**Dark-Types**: Many Dark-type Pokémon such as Zarude and Hydreigon are able to wall Slowking due to their immunity to Psychic and resistance to Scald. Zarude is an especially good answer to Slowking, as it can heal off Scald burns via Jungle Healing. Galarian Moltres is also a threat to Slowking, as it can use Slowking as setup fodder and then OHKO with Fiery Wrath once it gets to + 2.

**Grass-Types**: Tapu Bulu and Tangrowth both threaten Slowking immensely with their super-effective attacks. Tapu Bulu in particular is a menace to Slowking, as it can OHKO Slowking or use it as setup fodder. It does however have to fear Scald burns while it switches in or sets up.

**Strong Wallbreakers**: Powerful wallbreakers such as Azumarill, Thundurus-T, Choice Specs Primarina, and Swords Dance Aegislash are able to muscle through Slowking using their boosts. In addition, foes such as Conkeldurr are able to defeat Slowking using its inherent strength.

**Item Removal**: Slowking's ability to function as a defensive pivot is reduced when it loses its Heavy-Duty Boots because Slowking now has to contend with possible Stealth Rock Damage, forcing it to use Slack Off or switch out more often. Trick severely cripples Slowking as it loses its ability to wall anything well, as well as forcing it to just be a scout for opponents' moves.

**Status**: Slowking is also crippled by burn and toxic poisons, as they force Slowking to use Slack Off more often. Chansey in particular is a menace for Slowking to face, as it can not only Toxic Slowking, but can heal off its Scald burns via Natural Cure. It is also risky to try to 1v1 other Slowking or pivot into Keldeo for this reason, as Slowking risks Scald burns. In addition, it can be toxic'd by Pokemon it would otherwise be able to outlast such as Excadrill and Skarmory. I am not fond of burn really being talked about here. Saying it is risky to pivot into Keldeo because of Scald isn't true. Just keep it to Toxic.

:SS/Slowking:
Slowking's useful resistances, excellent ability in Regenerator, and superb natural bulk make it one of the best defensive pivots in the metagame. These traits combined with Teleport to enable pivoting, allow Slowking to consistently force progress against many teams by allowing wallbreakers such as Mienshao and Thundurus-T to enter the field. It should also be noted that, in conjunction with Heavy-Duty Boots, Slowking also has incredible longevity due to its ability to avoid hazard damage. This reads a bit like its the main item, try and reword it a bit maybe to reflect that boots is just an option? Due to its incredible bulk and typing, it can easily come in on many threats like Keldeo, Celesteeela, Excadrill, and Nihilego, then Teleport out to a revenge killer. This is fine, but I'd like to hear somewhere in the overview about how it can get pressured a lot by some of the Pokemon it's meant to check with Status, eg. Sludge Bomb poisons from Nihilego, Toxic from Excadrill. As a result of its somewhat below-average defense, Slowking is unable to consistently wall strong physical attackers such as Conkeldurr this is a weird example to me, would much rather use Shao or something here: CC into facade will kill slowking anyway so it flat out shouldn't be switching into Conk at all. and Excadrill, probably would clarify SD excadrill since it will wall a 0 attack one that can't boost fine, it just gets a bit annoyed by toxic from tthose sets, though it can annoy the latter with Scald. Slowking also lets threats such as Aegislash, Zarude, and Thundurus-T in quite easily due to its inability to pose an immediate threat to them. Sort of but aegi/thundy dont rly wanna directly switch into it cause of scald or teleport, can mention how it gets very easily forced out by Pokemon like this though and link it into the U-turn point too. Slowking's typing may prove to be its Waterloo, as it is also weak to Knock Off and U-turn, two prominent moves in the metagame. Weak to knock but colbur is the main item so not really? being weak to u-turn is an issue certainly though but as i say yea i'd tie it into how u-turn does noticeable damage to it and pair it in with the above point a bit. Slowking also competes with Chansey for the role of a defensive pivot, as Chansey isn't weak to foes such as Hydreigon. Slowking also competes with Primarina, which has the advantage of having better defensive typing than Slowking. throw a mention or two of things that primarina improves the matchup with respect to; eg. hydreigon, non-jab shao.

[SET COMMENTS]
In addition to being an excellent pivoting move, Teleport works well with Future Sight, bringing in offensive Pokemon such as Conkeldurr and Mienshao to capitalize on opponents wanting to bring Dark-types onto the field. As mentioned earlier, Future Sight is used to pressure opposing teams and increases Slowking's teammates' wallbreaking potential. Try and re-order this section to respect the fact that Psychic is the first slash, and should therefore be mentioned first. Psychic is used to reduce Slowking's passivity, allowing it to threaten foes such as Conkeldurr, Amoonguss, and Mienshao as they switch in. Shao definitely never switching in lol. Mention how it gives you a strong hit against Conk/Shao to discourage them from staying in and attacking Slowking, especially in conjunction with Colbur. Amoong bit is fine. Scald also reduces Slowking's passivity, burning threats that want to switch-in like Aegislash and Tapu Bulu. It also threatens Pokemon Slowking checks like Excadrill and Mamoswine. Slack Off significantly increases Slowking's longevity, increasing its walling capabilities without having to rely on constantly switching. Fluff, doesn't tell me anything thats not dex info. Colbur Berry is used to allow Slowking to help prevent Conkeldurr from OHKOing it, as well as check Mamoswine. say something like " as well as improving the matchup versus Mamoswine and Mienshao, and giving Slowking the potential option of more safely Teleporting against Hydreigon if necessary" Heavy-Duty Boots can also be used, allowing Slowking to pivot into the field freely without getting chipped by hazards such as Stealth Rock and Spikes, mention how these typically get Knocked off fairly quickly against Pokemon like Nihilego and Mienshao however. 0 Speed IVs are used on Slowking with the objective of using Teleport last against other Slowking, thus gaining momentum. Talk about 16 Sassy spreads, how they improve Slowking's matchup versus Pokemon like Primarina and Moltres, but worsen its matchup versus Pokemon like Exacdrill and Mienshao.

Slowking fits best on bulky offense and VoltTurn it fits on balance fine too? even fits on stall teams that appreciate its ability to tank special attacks and pivot to strong wallbreakers. Frail wallbreakers such as Mienshao, Zygarde-10%, and Thundurus-T appreciate Slowking's ability to safely pivot them onto the field via Teleport. These teammates also enjoy Slowking's ability to provide Future Sight support to pressure Amoonguss and Nihilego. Slowking forms an excellent defensive core with Pokemon such as Amoonguss, Tangrowth, and Tapu Bulu that appreciate Slowking's ability to pivot into Fire-type attacks as well as check Poison-types such as Tentacruel. In return, they can come in on many Grass- and Electric-types that threaten Slowking like Tapu Bulu, Zarude, and Thundurus-T. Slowking can also form a strong pivoting core with Moltres, with Moltres being able to pressure Grass-types such as Tangrowth and Tapu Bulu, while Slowking is able to switch into foes such as Keldeo that would otherwise pressure Moltres. Slowking also struggles against Ghost-types such as Aegislash and Chandelure. As a result, it teammates wording that are able to threaten them such as Hydreigon and Mandibuzz. Furthermore, Slowking appreciates hazard control from teammates such as Excadrill, Mandibuzz, and Rotom-H, as it dislikes being worn down by entry hazards. A few fatter teammates wouldn't go amiss here imo. Skarmory is worth a mention for checking Zarude too and helping against stuff like Mamo, conk, azu, can mention the trusty sight + ww combo potentially. Potentially mention cleric support on fat teams to help deal withthe inevitable toxic's and poisons slowking ends up taking.

Psyshock can be used over Psychic or Future Sight to prevent Slowking from becoming setup fodder for Calm Mind + Substitute Primarina and Keldeo, though this makes Slowking more vulnerable to Conkeldurr. You beat keldeo anyway, mention how it can be useful if your team struggles with Meteor Beam Nihilego. Calm Mind Slowking can also be used on bulkier teams to provide a win condition. Make sure you mention this first in OOs as its a very relevant stall set. Would be more specific and mention the specifics of this set: ie. that you run psyshock + colbur berry when doing it and that it also helps limit pokemon like aegislash and thundy threatening it out. (be clear with the psyshock > psychic/fsight that you mean on the pivot set when you do this so its not confusing) A specially defensive set can also be used on Slowking, as it is able to deal with threats such as Primarina and Nihilego significantly easier. moving to set comments Thunder Wave is also an option in order to cripple common Slowking answers such as Hydreigon. However, running it means you aren't running Psyshock and thus get walled by foes such as Keldeo. *(SubCM only), mention that its an option over Teleport too on teams with enough pivoting already, talk about how it can open some doors for Pokemon like Conkeldurr, CM Jirachi etc as the reason you'd desire to run it by either providing them with more pressure points (eg. conk now faster than para'd hyd/zarude etc), or by limiting their revenge killers (eg. cm rachi now faster than scarf hyd / (scarf) zarude).

However, these often get knocked off fairly quickly against foes such as Mienshao and Nihilego. 0 Speed IVs are used on Slowking with the objective of using Teleport last against other Slowking, thus gaining momentum. This set typically runs Psyshock over Psyshock or Future Sight as well as a Colbur Berry, and is able to limit Pokemon such as Aegislash and Thundurus-T from threatening it out. i havent' a clue where this line came from since it wasn't there last time and wasn't a comment i made but would remove as its really confusing unless it was directed towards the calm mind bit. Amoonguss is also a threat to Slowking, as it threatens Slowking with a faster Spore and Sludge Bomb poisons. However, it must be wary of being worn down by Psychic if it is not using Synthesis.

**Wallbreakers**: Azumarill, Thundurus-T, Choice Specs Primarina, and Swords Dance Aegislash are able to muscle through Slowking using their boosts. In addition, foes such as Conkeldurr are able to defeat Slowking using its inherent strength(probably word this differently).

**Status**: Slowking is also crippled by burn and toxic poisons, as they force Slowking to use Slack Off more often. Chansey in particular is a menace for Slowking to face, as it can not only Toxic Slowking, but can heal off its Scald burns via Natural Cure. It Slowking can also be toxic'd by Pokemon it would otherwise be able to outlast such as Excadrill and Skarmory. More examples of Pokemon that can easily status Slowking are Nihilego through Sludge Bomb and Primarina through Scald burns.

Slowking's useful resistances (would be helpful to mention which resistances are so useful), excellent ability in Regenerator, and superb natural bulk make it one of the best defensive pivots in the metagame. These traits, (add comma) combined with Teleport to enable pivoting, allow Slowking to consistently force progress against many teams by allowing wallbreakers such as Mienshao and Thundurus-T to enter the field safely. It should also be noted that, when using Heavy-Duty Boots, Slowking also has incredible longevity due to its ability to avoid hazard damage. (This seems like an odd thing to include in the overview given that HDB isn't even the main item in the slash and you also essentially explain this in the set comments adequately. If this info is valuable enough to be in the overview while Colbur Berry isn't even mentioned, then HDB should be slashed first. Ping me in this thread if this info is necessary to include in the overview, then we can come up with a sentence that works better here.) Due to its incredible bulk and typing, it can easily come in on many threats like Keldeo, Celesteela, Excadrill, and Nihilego, and then Teleport out to a revenge killer. However, Slowking can be pressured by Nihilego and Excadrill despite it being ment to check them, as both can cripple it with status from Sludge Bomb and Toxic, respectively. (you mention this in a more succinct way later on in the overview, so there's no need to repeat this) However, as a result of its somewhat below average (remove hyphen) physical defense, Slowking is unable to consistently wall strong physical attackers such as Mienshao and Swords Dance Excadrill, though it can annoy the latter with Scald. Slowking also gets forced out by threats such as Aegislash, Zarude, and Thundurus-T quite easily due to its inability to pose an immediate threat to them and can get overwhelmed by status from Pokemon it checks like Toxic from Excadrill and Sludge Bomb poisons from Nihilego. Slowking's typing may prove to be its Waterloo, as it is also also can hold it back, as it is (not gonna expect every reader to know what Waterloo refers to, sadly) weak to U-turn as well as Knock Off if Slowking is using Heavy-Duty Boots, two prominent moves in the metagame. Heavy-Duty Boots sets are also weak to Knock Off, another prominent move in the meta. Slowking also unfortunately competes with Chansey for the role of a defensive pivot, as Chansey isn't weak to foes such as Hydreigon. Slowking also competes with Primarina, which has the advantage of having a better defensive typing than Slowking, as well as having and a better matchup against Hydreigon and Stone Edge Mienshao.

[SET COMMENTS]
In addition to being an excellent pivoting move, Teleport works well with Future Sight, bringing in offensive Pokemon such as Conkeldurr and Mienshao to capitalize on opponents wanting to bring Dark-types onto the field. Psychic is used to reduce Slowking's passivity, allowing it to threaten foes such as Amoonguss as they switch in. In addition, it discourages Conkeldurr and Mienshao from staying in on Slowking and attacking, as Colbur Berry prevents either from OHKOing Slowking. As mentioned earlier, Future Sight is used to pressure opposing teams and increases Slowking's teammates' wallbreaking potential. (moving these to fit the move order) Scald also reduces Slowking's passivity, burning threats that want to switch in (remove hyphen) like Aegislash and Tapu Bulu. It also threatens Pokemon Slowking checks like Excadrill and Mamoswine. (Generally, it is best to not talk about STAB moves unless they do something in particular i.e. Tapu Lele's Psyshock vs. Psychic. You already talk about how Scald can burn Slowking switch-ins, so this part about a Water-type move hitting Ground-types isn't necessary.) Psychic reduces Slowking's passivity as well, allowing it to threaten foes such as Amoonguss as they switch in. Additionally, Psychic discourages Conkeldurr and Mienshao from staying in on Slowking to use Knock Off. Future Sight can be used instead to support Slowking's wallbreaker teammates. In addition to being an excellent pivot move, Teleport works well with Future Sight in bringing in an offensive teammate such as Conkeldurr or Mienshao to capitalize on opponents seeking to bring a Dark-type onto the field to absorb Future Sight. (You are, of course, free to reword this how you like. I tried to keep most of your wording intact here, but ping me if you have a question about something.) Colbur Berry is used to allow Slowking to help prevent Conkeldurr from OHKOing it avoid an OHKO from Conkeldurr's Knock Off, as well as improving the improve Slowking's matchup against Mienshao and Mamoswine, as well as giving and give Slowking the option of Teleporting out against Hydreigon. Heavy-Duty Boots can also be used, allowing (remove comma) to allow Slowking to pivot into onto the field freely without getting chipped by entry hazards such as Stealth Rock and Spikes; (period->semicolon) however, these often get knocked off fairly quickly against foes Slowking often loses its item switching into Knock Off users such as Mienshao and Nihilego. 0 Speed IVs are used on Slowking with the objective of using to Teleport last against other opposing Slowking, thus gaining momentum. Instead of 0 Speed IVs, 16 Speed SpD EVs can be run with a Sassy Nature to improve Slowking's matchup against foes such as Primarina and Moltres; (period->semicolon) however, it should be noted that this worsens Slowking's matchup against Excadrill and Mienshao.

Slowking fits best on bulky offense, VoltTurn, and balance teams that appreciate its ability to tank special attacks and pivot to in strong wallbreakers. Slowking forms an excellent defensive core with Pokemon Grass-types such as Amoonguss, Tangrowth, and Tapu Bulu that appreciate Slowking's ability to pivot into Fire-type attacks as well as and check Poison-types such as Tentacruel. In return, they can come in on many the Grass- and Electric-types that threaten Slowking like Tapu Bulu, Zarude, and Thundurus-T. Slowking can also form a strong pivoting core with Moltres, with Moltres being because Moltres is able to pressure Grass-types such as Tangrowth and Tapu Bulu (remove comma) while Slowking is able to switch into foes such as Keldeo that would otherwise pressure Moltres. Slowking also struggles against Ghost-types such as Aegislash and Chandelure; (period->semicolon) as a result, it's it appreciates teammates that are able to threaten them such as Hydreigon and Mandibuzz. Furthermore, Slowking appreciates hazard control from teammates such as Excadrill, Mandibuzz, and Rotom-H, as it dislikes being worn down by entry hazards. Skarmory is also a good teammate for Slowking, as it can check Zarude easily and helps against things such as Mamoswine, Conkeldurr, and Azumarill. It also forms a combo with Slowking using Future Sight + Whirlwind, (add comma) which can heavily weaken shared checks like Thundurus-T and remove or outright KO Fighting-types if brought in. In addition Finally, Slowking appreciates cleric support from Pokemon like Galarian Weezing-G as Slowking often has to deal with status.

Calm Mind Slowking can also be used on bulkier teams to provide a win condition. A specially defensive set can also be used on Slowking, as it is able to deal with threats such as Primarina and Nihilego significantly easier more easily. This set typically runs Psyshock over Psyshock Psychic or Future Sight as well as a Colbur Berry, (It's the main item, so no need to mention it) and is able to limit Pokemon such as Aegislash and Thundurus-T's attempts at from threatening it out. Psyshock can be used over Psychic or Future Sight to prevent Slowking from becoming setup fodder for Calm Mind + Substitute Primarina and Meteor Beam Nihilego, though this makes Slowking more vulnerable to Conkeldurr. Thunder Wave is also an option in order to cripple common Slowking answers such as Hydreigon; (period->semicolon) however, running it means you aren't running Psyshock, (add comma) and thus get walled by foes such as Calm Mind Keldeo. Running Thunder Wave over Teleport is also fine, as long as the team has enough pivot support. This can open some doors for teammates like Conkeldurr and Calm Mind Jirachi, (add comma) as Conkeldurr are now is faster than a Paralyzed paralyzed Hydreigon and Zarude and Jirachi is now faster than outspeeds many of its revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Hydreigon and Choice Scarf Zarude if they are paralyzed.

**Dark-Types**: Many Dark-type Pokemon, (add comma) such as Zarude and Hydreigon, (add comma) which also resist Scald, (add comma) are able to wall Slowking due to their immunity to Psychic and resistance to Scald (This is not a trait that every Dark-type has). Zarude is an especially good answer to Slowking, as it can heal off Scald burns via Jungle Healing. Galarian Moltres is also a threat to Slowking, as it can use Slowking as setup fodder and then OHKO it with Fiery Wrath once it gets to +2 (remove space between + and 2).

Calm Mind Slowking can be used on bulkier teams to provide a win condition wincon. A specially defensive set can be used, as it is able to deal with threats such as Primarina and Nihilego significantly more easily. This set typically runs Psyshock over Psychic or Future Sight and limits Pokemon such as Aegislash and Thundurus-T's attempts at threatening it out.(What does this mean? Are you saying that running Psyshock does this or being specially defensive does this?) Psyshock can be used over Psychic or Future Sight to prevent Slowking from becoming setup fodder for Calm Mind + Substitute Primarina and Meteor Beam Nihilego, though this it makes Slowking more vulnerable to Conkeldurr. Thunder Wave is an option to cripples common Slowking answers such as Hydreigon; however, running it instead of Psyshock leaves Slowking walled by foes such as Calm Mind Keldeo and Calm Mind Primarina. Running Thunder Wave over Teleport is also fine, as long as the team has enough pivot support. Dark-types such as Zarude and Hydreigon wall Slowking due to their Psychic immunity and Scald resistance. Zarude is an especially good answer to Slowking, as it can heal off Scald burns via Jungle Healing. Galarian Moltres is also a threat to Slowking, as it can use Slowking as setup fodder and then OHKO it with +2 Fiery Wrath once it gets to +2.

**Grass-types(lowercase)**: Tapu Bulu and Tangrowth both threaten Slowking immensely with their super-(RH)effective attacks. Tapu Bulu, in particular, is a menace to Slowking, as it can OHKO Slowking or use it as setup fodder. It does, however, have to fear Scald burns while it switches in or sets up. Amoonguss is also a threat to Slowking, as it threatens it with faster Spore and Sludge Bomb poisons. However, it must be wary of being worn down by Psychic if it is not using Synthesis. In particular, Tapu Bulu can OHKO Slowking or use it as setup fodder, but it should be wary of Scald. Amoonguss threatens Slowking with Spore and Sludge Bomb poisons, but it can be worn down by Psychic if it is not running Synthesis.

**Wallbreakers**: Wallbreakers such as Swords Dance Aegislash are able to muscle through Slowking using their boosts. In addition, foes such as Conkeldurr can defeat Slowking using its inherent strength. Foes such as Conkeldurr can break through Slowking, even without boosts. (inherent strength is a super vague term)

**Status**: Slowking is crippled by burn and Toxic, as they force Slowking to use Slack Off more often. Chansey, in particular, is tough for Slowking to face, as it can not only inflict Toxic on Slowking, but also heal off its Scald burns via Natural Cure. It can also be hit with Toxic from Pokemon it would otherwise be able to outlast, such as Excadrill and Skarmory. More examples of Pokemon that can easily status Slowking are Nihilego through Sludge Bomb and Primarina through Scald. Status forces Slowking to use Slack Off more often.
