Shiny Charm and Masuda Method

I only started keeping count of my eggs after hatching what seemed to be 200+ eggs. I'd like to contribute to the data but I feel like neglecting the past eggs I hatched before I started keeping count will greatly skew my results. So far I'm at 205 eggs and I haven't hatched a single shiny.
I'm sitting at about 1500 eggs hatched... I would start the count fresh as to not skew data. It's mentioned why pledges before hatching eggs/a clean count is necessary on the first page.

On that note I pledge 1k eggs in batches of 100.
Batch 1: none...
Batch 2: none..
Batch 3: Nope
Batch 4: None
Batch 5: None
Batch 6:
Batch 7:
Batch 8:
Batch 9:
Batch 10:

Edit@batch 5: Total mm eggs hatched for Shiny Eevee = 2k, non-mm + 900=2900 eggs, no shiny. Starting to believe shiny eevees don't exist.

Updated post #650
585 eggs later, shiny rotom

1955 now in total

will be going for metagross now using a non kalos ditto.

I've noticed I've been taken off the spreadsheet. Is there any reason for this? Perhaps inactivity?
Or is there someone just removing people?

Updated post #544 and spreadsheet

lol you're not guaranteed 1 shiny in 400 eggs, if that's what you're thinking. Tons of people in this thread have gone into the 1000's without a single shiny.
Oh I know, I was hoping to have that same luck months ago when I hatched three of my Claunchers. I hatched close to 1000, but I just know I was having bad luck, but you're right I should have kept going. I was more focus into the breeding IVs and stuff because it was new to me. I do plan to continue, but going to have to start from 0 again, since I had to dump the hatched espurr into pokebank. I'm hoping to get my male Meowstic soon, but I hope I helped out at least a little in this research. I'll post back my next batch when I get tired again.

Finished my 1,000 hatched eggs, just thought I'd toss my update in here.

In 1,000 eggs I hatched two shinies with the Shiny Charm.

First at 190 eggs, the second at 431 eggs. None between 431 and 1,000.

Well I got a shiny Slurpuff from someone else lmfao. But now breeding for shiny scatterbug. JPN ditto and english scatterbug! Just hatched 30 eggs.

Yeah... so I guess my data won't matter even though I started counting? I'm "officially" at 440 eggs with no shiny so far.

Hey everyone, I'll be participating here :) To start with I'll be pledging 1000 eggs, using a local Honedge and a japanese (non kalos) Ditto.

I will be doing batches of 150 a time :)

Batch 1: 150/150: No Shinies
Batch 2: 150/150: No Shinies
Batch 3: 150/150: No Shinies
Batch 4: 150/150: No Shinies
Batch 5: 150/150: No Shinies
Batch 6: 150/150: Egg #1 shiny

EDIT #1: Batch 4 done
EDIT #2: Batch 5 and 6 done, Shiny in da house :))

After my first successful masuda bred shiny I'd love to have another go! This time I'll cross my fingers for a shiny Char Y Froakie to start off with. My first pledge will be for 150x5 eggs.

✔ Batch1 - 1-150: No shiny
✔ Batch2 - 151-300: 1 Shiny @ Egg #277
✔ Batch3 - 301-450: 1 Shiny @ Egg #319
✔ Batch4 - 451-600: No Shiny
✔ Batch5 - 601-750: No Shiny

Update 1 : 26/2 Somewhat lucky with my first pledge. I still got two shinies out of my first 750 eggs which places me at slightly better odds than the expected average for shiny charm combined with masuda method. I will pledge another 750 eggs, but will be unable to hatch any great number of eggs for the next few days.

Batch6 - 751 - 900:
Batch7 - 901 - 1050:
Batch8 - 1051 - 1200:
Batch9 - 1201 - 1350:
Batch10 - 1351 - 1500:

Alright I've been lurking this thread, but now since I've hatched my shiny I feel grateful and I feel like contributing so I logged in. So when I started to keep count of my hatching, I hatched 336 eggs and on #336 I hatched a shiny protean froakie. Used a non-kalos japanese 6iv ditto and english 6iv froakie. I didn't do this in batches, just used the load, hatch, breed and then load technique every time the day-care man had an egg to give me and I had a spot without eggs. Also just tallied the count on a piece of paper each time an egg hatched to keep track of the amount. I also hatched a shiny torrent froakie 5 days ago (on the status screen says recieved 2/12, hatched 2/13) when I was employing the batch technique in batches of 4 boxes and I hatched that at about halfway through, but I didn't keep an exact count. But in all, I figure I haven't even hatched north of 600 eggs and I got 2 shinies so I feel this shiny charm is doing great for me. Gonna keep on hatching a number of different pokemon so I figure I'll post their results when they're complete as well.

Edit:
Wow, even though I haven't finished iv breeding (only up to a 4iv mother) I hatched a 4iv bulletproof shiny chespin on egg #19.
Edit2:
Holy shit, still on the 5iv hunt and I got another hatched shiny chespin, although it's overgrow at egg #29, what is going on here :pimp:.
Edit3:
Absolutely incredible, I've since switched the mother to a 5iv chespin but I just hatched a practically perfect 5iv(all but sp. attack) overgrow shiny chespin at egg #91. I feel this shiny charm just has to be improving the odds.

My friend literally craps out shinies with MM. He gets all his shinies in under 100 eggs and he claims that this is because he uses a spanish ditto. Maybe certain reigions have diffrent chances?

Shinies so far: Togepi 680 eggs, honedge 866 eggs, beldum 3 eggs. Slowpoke 6 eggs, noibat 150 eggs, goomy 160 eggs.

For beldum and slowpoke I happened to be using a spanish pokemon. So that kinda makes me curious.

I'm making it my goal to hatch 1200 eggs.

ENG Espurr + JPN Smeargle (Don't know if I'm suppose to post the parents so...)
Batch #1: 1-150, no shiny.
Batch #2: 151-300, no shiny.
Batch #3: 301-450, no shiny.
Batch #4: 451-600, 1 shiny.
Batch #5: 601-750, 1 shiny.
Batch #6: 751-900, no shiny.
Batch #7: 901-1050, no shiny.
Batch #8: 1051-1200, 1 shiny.

Total: 3 shiny pokemon hatched from out of the 1200 I hatched.

Pledge another 300 eggs using same parents as above.

Batch #1: 1-150, in progress...
Batch #2: 151-300...

I'm planning on hatching 300 eggs, all in one batch. Shiny Charm and 6V Japanese Ditto + Local Bisharp. Will edit this post once I have results.

Also I've been hatching Pawniards with the above parents already and haven't gotten any shinies yet, about 400+ eggs. Does this skew/invalidate my data?

I really shouldn't matter what parents you pick, just as long the two are from different regions. c:
I don't think it would skew data?

OK. 306 eggs later - shiny Tyrunt. As before, updated the google doc. Nex pledge goal shiny Amaura - at least 500 eggs, but hoping my 1/300-1/350 luck keeps up.

No shinies at 750 eggs hatched. I will keep going until a red little Sword Pokemon pops out of the egg ;).

EDIT: I finally got my first shiny :) Egg number 751 was a 31/31/19-27/31/31/0 shiny Honedge :)

PS. What do I do with 149 Honedges, with 4-5 IV's at 31?

Hey guys, I had some extra time today so I've checked over this thread and thought I could input on my experiences with the Masuda method :)
I completed the pokedex last week, and received the shiny charm! Couldn't be happier, so giving it a whirl today my target was to hatch a shiny deino! After 170 eggs I had myself a shiny baby dragon. Later today I felt lucky and went ahead for another dream shiny, Tepig. After 80-90 eggies I have a shiny Tepig named BBQ :D Before the shiny charm I had bred for a shiny ralts and a shiny tyrunt, each hunt ending with the desired shiny at around the 140-150 mark, I do think luck is the biggest factor but the shiny charm has sped up the process for me. Later on I may post the pics of my shinies if anyone would like me to. To everyone hunting, good luck! It will happen as long as you don't give up x perseverance pays

I have a question. I have 1080 Vulpix eggs, but I have already hatched 605 without any luck of a shiny. Since I have kept track of how many eggs that I have hatched out of the total can I still pledge the 1080 eggs or would it be better to pledge 475 eggs that have not hatched?

The full 1080 is what i'd do. Especially since they are all the same poke
