[SET]
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Name: Physically Defensive (Electric)
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 212 Def / 48 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Bold Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Foul Play / Protect

[SET COMMENTS]
Rotom-W is the premier physical wall for Electric teams due to Levitate and its bulk, which make it a great help in the Ground matchup, its ability to spread burns, and its resistance to Ice and Water, which is great against Mamoswine. Will-O-Wisp is an excellent move for significantly weakening physical threats such as Barraskewda, Chien-Pao, Great Tusk, and Kingambit. Hydro Pump threatens Ground-type Pokemon that Electric teams would otherwise struggle against, such as Great Tusk, Gliscor, and Mamoswine. Volt Switch allows Rotom-W's more threatening wallbreaking teammates to come in more easily. Foul Play enables Rotom-W to hit Baxcalibur, which cannot be burned, Dragonite, and physically oriented Dragapult. It also prevents Rotom-W from becoming setup fodder. Protect is a solid option to give Rotom-W an extra turn to recover some HP, inflict more burn damage on foes, and potentially scout what set the opponent may be running, which is especially valuable versus Choice-locked enemies such as Chien-Pao and Meowscarada. The given EV spread maximizes Rotom-W's physical bulk while also allowing it to outspeed and burn Jolly Azumarill.

Assault Vest Magnezone forms a nice defensive core with Rotom-W, where Magnezone is able to act as a special wall, while Rotom-W is able to act as a physical wall, as well as switch in on Ground-type attacks that would otherwise make quick work of Magnezone. Magnezone can also switch into attacks from Pokemon like Hatterene, Gholdengo, and Flutter Mane and Toxic from the likes of Amoonguss, Mandibuzz, and Toxapex, as well as forming a nice Volt Switch pivot core. Iron Hands is another great teammate for Rotom-W. Not only is Iron Hands able to come in for free after a Volt Switch from Rotom-W, but Rotom-W is also able to burn opposing Pokemon to bolster Iron Hands's Longevity. Iron Hands is also capable of taking care of Meowscarada, Hisuian Goodra, and Ogerpon-W. Defensive Zapdos is able to make quick work of pesky Grass-type Pokemon that stop Rotom-W in its tracks, such as Ogerpon-H, Ogerpon-W, Amoonguss, and Sinistcha. Sandy Shocks is the best entry hazard setter for Electric teams, and it pairs nicely with Rotom-W, which can force uncomfortable switches thanks to the looming threat of Will-O-Wisp. The revolving door of Volt Switches can force a lot of damage on opposing teams, thus making games easier to close out. Thundurus-T's array of coverage makes it a great teammate for Rotom-W. Thundurus-T can use Grass Knot to deal with Pokemon such as Quagsire and Gastrodon, as well as Psychic to deal with Pokemon like Amoonguss and Clodsire. Pawmot can use Seed Bomb to threaten Quagsire, Gastrodon, and opposing Rotom-W while also hitting Hydreigon, Baxcalibur and Ursaluna-B with STAB Close Combat. Regieleki can use its blistering Speed tier to take care of Flutter Mane and Iron Valiant, while also using Rapid Spin to remove Stealth Rock to keep Rotom-W alive for a longer period of time.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Thunder Wave is a nice option to slow down enemies and give Pokemon like Zapdos and Iron Hands an easier time taking them down.
192 HP / 108 Def / 208 Spe with a Bold nature is an alternative spread, outspeeding Choice Band Dragonite, which can be problematic for Electric teams.
248 HP / 180 Def / 68 SpD / 12 Spe with a Calm nature gets the jump on uninvested Great Tusk, avoids the 2HKO from Sheer Force Life Orb Landorus's Psychic, and allows Rotom-W to switch into mixed Iron Valiant and Greninja in a pinch. This spread also leaves Rotom-W capable of surviving a Blood Moon from Ursaluna-B.

Rotom-W is the premier Physically Defensive Pokemon physical wall for Electric teams due to Levitate and its bulk, which makes it a great help in the Ground matchup (Water resist, burn spreader, pivot; helps enable teammates. Also Ground immune that resists Ice so stuffs Mamo especially). Will-O-Wisp is an excellent move for significantly weakening physical threats such as Barraskewda, Chien-Pao, Great Tusk, and Kingambit. Hydro Pump is apowerufl move that threatens Ground-type Pokemon that Electric teams would otherwise struggle against, such as Landorus, Gliscor, and Mamoswine. Volt Switch is a fantastic pivot option that allows Rotom-W's more threatening, wallbreaking teammates to come in easier. Foul Play allows Rotom-W to hit Baxcalibur, which cannot be burned, for a large amount of damage after boosts (also useful for physical Pult and Dnite). (put Protect here) The given EV spread maximizes Rotom-W's physical bulk while also allowing it to outspeed and burn Azumarill before it can set up and maximize its attack.

Assault Vest Magnezone is a great teammate for Rotom-W, as the two form a nice defensive pair core. Magnezone is able to act as a special wall, while Rotom-W is able to act as a physical wall, as well as being able to switch in to Ground-type attacks that would otherwise make quick work of Magnezone (what specific attacks does Magnezone switch into; Flutter Mane Moonblast and Amoonguss Giga Drain come to mind. Also Magenzone blocks Toxic aimed at Rotom-W and the two can form a pivot core with Volt Switch). Iron Hands is another great teammate for Rotom-W. Not only is Iron Hands able to come in for free after a Volt Switch from Rotom-W, but Rotom-W is also to burn opponents to bolster Iron Hands's (GP rules) Longevity longevity (I feel like this is a little too vague; maybe mention Hands can beat mons that this set struggles with like Hisuian Goodra, Ogerpon-W, Meowscarada). Zapdos is another wonderful partner for Rotom-W, as Zapdos is able to make quick work of pesky Grass-type Pokemon that stop Rotom-W in its tracks, such as Ogerpon-H, Ogerpon-W, Amoonguss, and Sinistcha. Sandy Shocks is the only best entry hazard setter for Electric teams, and it pairs nicely with Rotom-W. Sandy Shocks can set up hazards for the team, while Rotom-W can force uncomfortable switches thanks to the looming threat of Will-O-Wisp. The revolving door of Volt Switches can force a lot of damage on to opponents, thus making cleaning up games easier. Thundurus-Therian's array of coverage makes it a great teammate for Rotom-W. Thundurus-T can use Grass Knot to deal with Pokemon such as Quagsire and Gastrodon, as well as using Psychic to deal with Pokemon like Amoonguss and Clodsire. (Pawmot can use Seed Bomb to threaten Quagsire, Gastrodon, and opposing Rotom-W and punishes Ursa-B, Bax, and Hydreigon with CC) (Regieleki can dispatch Iron Valiant and Flutter Mane and get rid of Stealth Rock to keep Rotom-W healthy)

[OTHER OPTIONS]
Thunder Wave is a nice option to slow down opponents to make let Pokemon like Zapdos and Iron Hands have an easier time taking down opposing threats.
Protect is another nice option in order to stall a turn so Rotom-W can recover more health, as well as making burned opponents lose more health (also scouts sets/moves; move above).

Rotom-W is the premier physical wall for Electric teams due to Levitate and its bulk, which makes it a great help in the Ground matchup, spreading burns, as well as resisting Ice (The water resistance is pretty good too, helping you have a buffer against Water teams meow), which is great against Mamoswine. Will-O-Wisp is an excellent move for significantly weakening physical threats such as Barraskewda, Chien-Pao, Great Tusk, and Kingambit. Hydro Pump threatens Ground-type Pokemon that Electric teams would otherwise struggle against, such as Landorus (take note that you probably shouldnt swap into Lando, its so strong that it 2HKO'es you + gravity anyway), Gliscor, and Mamoswine (Also deters them blocking Volt switch). Volt Switch is a fantastic pivot option that allows Rotom-W's more threatening, wallbreaking teammates to come in easier. Foul Play allows Rotom-W to hit Baxcalibur, which cannot be burned, Dragonite, and Physically oriented Dragapults, for a large amount of damage (or deter them from using you as setup food because you dont damage them much). Protect is a solid option to give Rotom-W an extra turn to recover some HP, inflict more burn damage on foes, and potentially scout what set the opponent may be running (especially good vs Choiced-threats like Band Mamo/Pao). The given EV spread maximizes Rotom-W's physical bulk while also allowing it to outspeed and burn Jolly Azumarill.

Not only is Iron Hands able to come in for free after a Volt Switch from Rotom-W, but Rotom-W is also to burn opponents to bolster Iron Hands's Longevity. Sandy Shocks is the best entry hazard setter for Electric teams, and it pairs nicely with Rotom-W. Sandy Shocks can set up hazards for the team, while Rotom-W can force uncomfortable switches thanks to the looming threat of Will-O-Wisp.
