Welcome to the Semifinals of RBEL, The tournament where 6 4 teams compete in random battles across the generations, to see who extends their battles the best!

All matches are Best-Of-Three.

Mystery Box is different for Playoffs:

Mystery Box Matches will be a best-of-three. The first battle will be Gen 9 Random Battles, and then the loser of each match picks the next format from the list of Mystery Box formats below:

Standard Tournament Procedures
Like all other tournaments on Smogon, the Random Battles Extension League will follow the general rules and guidelines. Please read them carefully. Also note that replays are required.
What constitutes ghosting in a Random Battles game can be a particularly fine line, so before commenting in a RBEL game, always ask yourself: “Would my comment reveal information that hasn’t already been explicitly revealed in this battle?” Examples of ghosting include suggesting that an unexpectedly fast Pokemon might be holding a Choice Scarf, that a mon going back to full HP without reason is likely a Zoroark, etc.

The deadline for all games is Monday March 11th at 5AM UTC.

Gen 9 Random Battle (1): Castelia vs MTB > Castelia is good and probably more accustomed to this randbats gen than MTB

Gen 9 Random Battle (2): pokevin03dragonite vs LpZ > Kevin is going to find a way to bring this to g3 and then use the streamer button in order to achieve the win

Gen 8 Random Battle: R1C3M4N vs Estuardo19 > As long as he is able to travel to Lourdes before playing this match, he'll be fine

Gen 7 Random Battle: Trefleuh vs satvik123 > Two guys that have been in the room for ages. Tref spends more time on this ladder than he does at work so I can't bold against him

Gen 6 Random Battle: ElectricityCat vs Mirbro > I have seen Mirbro play in the first blood spotlight and he is solid. The cat is very solid too but I'll go with the upset. When I talk about "upset", I am talking about making Luchi angry for this prediction :)

Gen 5 Random Battle: bodi vs Perish Song > Perish in his Daniel Bryan arc (every reference to a certain chain of comments is merely casual), he is borderline unstoppable right now thanks to superior haxing powers

Gen 4 Random Battle: srvoltmike vs O1V7O2X9O > Gotta root for my australian cousin

Gen 3 Random Battle: iSluff vs Tranquility > Everybody likes underdog stories and Luchi's pick has had tremendous value so far. I think they'll keep impressing

Gen 1 Random Battle: Kipkluif vs BigFatMantis > Fulgur shows me screenshots from the LC server from time to time. I fear these people more than a mexican cartel. Kip is also a gen 1 enjoyer so we are going full Joker mode right now in terms of craziness

Gen 8 Battle Factory: Leafium Z vs DC > The signature in Leafium's stuns me every time I read it. I don't know if I want to discover the context behind it but they are a solid player!

Mystery Box: hammy3581 vs haxlolo > In the monthly marathon Lolo won twice vs hammy. Third time is the charm? I am inclined to say no but this should be a good match between the setdev contributors

I want to believe he will start his redemption arc thanks to the support of his teammates and will defy the odds against the newly crowned winner of the Utrecht Special Event

Gen 8 Battle Factory: Suzuya vs Mada > I am not super familar with the last 4 players so I'll pick one for Tyranitar...
