Tournament Rules:
- The format will be as follows: USUM PU will be the first game. Then, the loser of the first match chooses the generation for the second. And then, if needed, the loser of the second match then chooses the generation for the third match. This means that 1 generation will remain unplayed.
- Standard USUM PU, ORAS PU, BW PU, DPP PU
- Battles should take place on Pokemon Showdown!
- Replays are mandatory!
- Do not make baseless activity posts, get in contact with your opponent and report missed times / scheduling issues only.
- Standard clauses apply.
- All the usual Smogon rules regarding activity, timer, disconnection, and ghosting rules apply.
Standard Rules and Clauses:
- Species Clause: A player cannot have two Pokemon with the same Pokedex number on his team.
- Sleep Clause: You cannot inflict sleep upon more than one member of the opposing team.
- Evasion Clause: The moves Double Team and Minimize are banned.
- OHKO Clause: The moves Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, and Fissure are banned.
- Endless Battle Clause: Anything capable of intentionally creating an endless battle is banned.
Explanation for Tiebreaker:
Bag of Trixx: 7W / 4L = 64% Win Rate
Banbadoro: 6W / 3L = 67% Win Rate
Cielau: 7W / 3L = 70% Win Rate
Drud: 7W / 4L = 64% Win Rate
eifo: 7W / 3L = 70% Win Rate
JabbaTheGriffin: 5W / 1L = 83% Win Rate
Sage: 7W / 4L = 64% Win Rate
SpacialRendevous: 6W / 3L = 67% Win Rate
The problem here comes down to having 8 players tied for the remaining 5 slots. We've consulted with a TD and it turns out a similar case happened in Grand Slam VI, where 7 players were tied for 4 slots. We'll be following a similar system to this to ensure fairness.
JabbaTheGriffin advances to the playoffs automatically having the highest winrate.
The two players tied for second highest winrate are Cielau & eifo. They'll be paired with each other. The winner advances to the playoffs bracket and the loser is slotted into a pairing with the other tiebreak participants.
The remainder slot into three matchups, where the winner proceeds to the bracket and the loser is eliminated.
