ORAS UU Type Cores

This is a core that you can use on balance and bulky offense. The sets don't really matter here; it's the synergy between the members that really makes this core what it is. Reuniclus has been a great win condition for a long time; it absorbs Scalds and can help cover the Fighting weakness shared by the other members of this core. Reuniclus is notorious for being able to set up on a number of common walls and offensive 'mons alike, and it can often bring wins even when the other members of the team don't. Cobalion mainly covers Reuniclus's Dark and Bug-type weaknesses, and it switches in easily to a majority of the cell's checks. It can also use Volt Switch to bring Reuniclus in at the right time, Stealth Rock to wear down common threats, and even Thunder Wave to give Reuniclus more setup opportunities. Cobalion can also provide a team with a secondary win condition with its Swords Dance set. Both Reuniclus and Cobalion are checked easily by most Ghost-types, which is where Hydreigon comes in. Not only is this 'mon always a strong wallbreaking presence, but it provides a second stallbreaker next to Reuniclus, which can disrupt an opponent's momentum. It can check some Electric-types for Cobalion as well.

This core mostly has problems with Fairy, Fighting, and Fire-type Pokemon. One great teammate is Tentacruel, which can beat all of these decently well and set Toxic Spikes, which benefit every member of this core.

Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 84 Def / 176 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe

- Rapid Spin

This is a spike stacking core that is ideal on a more offensively inclined balance team. Krook Forry is nothing new due to their synergy type wise as well as their ability to control and set hazards in conjunction. Hoopa fits in this core not only type wise but in its ability to spin block. Hoopa functions well as a stall breaker especially with NP. I prefer the OTR set as u can still threaten many bulkier teams due to Hoopa sheer power as well as type coverage and still be able to sweep with TR. Im using weird IV's but what they do is allow u to outspeed base 60s but other wise keep u slow as possible. The idea behind this is that you want to be able to outspeed certain things like Emp or Pert and be able to kill them or greatly damage them with out having to take damage from them first.

Alright guys, was waiting for the week to get lined up again. But voting is over! Cactrune wins this week with 12 votes while nv gets runner-up with 10, so congrats to them and thanks to everyone that participated! This week will be the last week of this project, as I have ran out of Type Cores :[ so I'm hoping to get a lot of participants for the finale. We're going to take it back to Week 1 with the

I love this core. Moltres is a very underappreciated Pokemon nowadays, but it's awesome as a wallbreaker that can dismantle many teams if it doesn't miss a move. Sadly it does have that nasty 4x weakness to Stealth Rock, so Tentacruel is a great partner for it, providing Rapid Spin support and also a nice Fire switchin as well. Mega Sceptile can capitalize on Moltres' wallbreaking in order to clean up teams easier, and also likes Moltres being a good Escavalier switchin as well. Some mons that can threaten this core are Mega Aerodactyl and Mega Beedrill can be a pain (But Flame Body on Moltres is clutch as hell), so partners like Metagross and Porygon2 can be good for the core. Overall, this is a really fun core that can fit well on bulky offense or balance teams, and I hope you like it! Rip Type Cores, fun thread tho
