Roserade @ Choice Specs
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Hidden Power Fire / Hidden Power Ground
- Giga Drain / Leaf Storm
- Sludge Bomb
- Dazzling Gleam / Extrasensory

This set is pretty monsterous. Thanks to the Choice Specs making stuff like Spikes or Synthesis useless, this Roserade is focused on just attacking and breaking shit up. Technician is chosen to boost Hidden Power Fire's power to 2HKO Mega Aggron and OHKO Cobalion. The Grass STAB is up to your opinion, while Giga Drain lets you recover and is pretty strong, Leaf Storm can be used to really demolish shit, but it lowers your Special Attack. Sludge Bomb is the standard Poison STAB, and Dazzling Gleam is there to OHKO Hydreigon and hurt other Dragons. Overall, I think this set can be really good as a wallbreaker with the right support, and I hope you can agree with me! (Also, searching Roserade in Google Images is terrifying. ;-;) EDIT: Extrasensory can be used to effectively kill stuff like crobat. Also HP Ground can be used over HP Fire for a bit more coverage imo.

Roserade, while not the bulkiest of mons, can be annoying to face for unprepared teams, especially defensive ones. Being able to sub up and stall out mons like Blissey, Florges, defensive Zapdos, and most bulky waters, as well as being being able to put slower offensive threats to sleep, like CM Reuniclus. Spread is to out-speed uninvested base 100's, survive a Jolly Mega-Swampert's Ice Punch, and survive as many various special hits as possible. Although Sleep Powder is the better option in most cases, Sludge Bomb prevents being walled by opposing Grass types, as well as giving a 30% chance to poison to help stack damage with leech seed.

Roserade @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature

- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Giga Drain / Leaf Storm
- Sludge Bomb
- Sleep Powder /
Spikes / Synthesis

Hidden Power Fire is actually not the Hidden Power you want to be running with Roserade. The thought of killing Forretress in one hit has blinded a greater potential that Roserade can have. Hidden Power Ground is better for Roserade and this is why.

Fire Type switches
252 SpA Life Orb Technician Roserade Hidden Power Ground vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Chandelure: 270-320 (103.4 - 122.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Technician Roserade Hidden Power Ground vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Entei: 315-372 (84.9 - 100.2%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO

Steel Type switches
252 SpA Life Orb Technician Roserade Hidden Power Ground vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Cobalion: 325-385 (100.3 - 118.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Technician Roserade Hidden Power Ground vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Doublade: 294-346 (92.1 - 108.4%) -- 50% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Technician Roserade Hidden Power Ground vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Forretress: 187-221 (52.8 - 62.4%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Poison Types switches
252 SpA Life Orb Technician Roserade Hidden Power Ground vs. 40 HP / 0 SpD Nidoqueen: 286-338 (86.4 - 102.1%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Life Orb Technician Roserade Hidden Power Ground vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Tentacruel: 213-252 (59 - 69.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Technician Roserade Hidden Power Ground vs. 188 HP / 0 SpD Dragalge: 208-247 (65.4 - 77.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

HP Fire already hit steel types for the same damage (bar forry) but HP ground also hits poison and fire types that like to switch into Roserade quite often. Forry is 2hkoed by HP ground so its still not a switch and you come with all of this. You also now have the opportunity to kill pokemon like Nidoqueen without putting yourself at the irritating -2 spAtt which can allow you opponent to set up or stay alive. Also if a Doublade switches in on a sludge bomb or a giga drain, what do you think it is going to do next? It is going to test for the HP fire. So your opponent switches into their fire type because they sure aren't switching into a water type. You can now resist the attack from an electric type and fire off a super effective hit. The other moves are up to your team composition. If you have to use Roserade to take moon blasts, you will need some recovery so Giga drain and/or Synthesis would be required. If Roserade is acting as a full out attacker, Leaf Storm supplies extreme power. Sleep Powder is for Crobat if you like that sort of thing. Spikes is for the Snorlax switch or if you need the hazards more than the damage on the incoming pokemon.

This Set provides:
  • Ghost Type Lure
  • Hits Poisons, Fires, and Electric Types a lot harder
  • Punishes Scouting
  • Kills Pokemon without using Leaf Storm

Roserade @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Petal Blizzard
- Poison Jab
- Synthesis

Honestly, this set is so bad, I just wanted to claim it before anyone else did. At +2 it has 478 Attack, which is still worse than banded base 100's.
It could probably catch a low level player off guard once, and it could probably do well against a full team of special walls.
Natural cure is for those pesky burns and synthesis is there because it literally gets no over good physical moves so it might as well have recovery in case life orb somehow manages to rack up.

Roserade @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Sludge Bomb
- Leaf Storm
- Sleep Powder
- Stun Spore

It's pretty easy. I just click Sleep Powder to put something to sleep, and paralyze his next switch in, crippling two foes.

Black Rose (Offensive Cleric Pivot)

Roserade @ Black Sludge
Ability: Technician / Natural Cure
EVs: 240 HP / 252 SpA / 16 Spe or 40 HP / 252 SpA / 216 Spe
Modest Nature (Timid if using 2nd spread)
- Leaf Storm
- Sludge Bomb
- Aromatherapy
- Hidden Power Fire

One of the few Pokémon able to pull off this kind of set. Roserade can force lots of switches, giving it free turns for Aromatherapy. Bulky offensive teams really appreciate a Pokémon like this, a cleric that is not so passive, and Roserade is probably the best choice in UU. Its coverage is nice, and I still use HP Fire because hitting Bulletproof Chesnaught in addition to Steel types is quite important too. Because it's such a good status sponge, Technician can be used, but Natural Cure helps pivoting even more and preserves Aromatherapy's PP, if the extra power on HP Fire isn't crucial. Roserade hits very hard if Modest anyway. Synthesis can be used over HP Fire or Sludge Bomb if the Wish support that this set loves can't be provided by its teammates.

Black Sludge is key here. Life Orb wears Roserade down and prevents it from absorbing Scalds and Moonblasts like a champ. The two spreads depend on what you want to outspeed. The first is preferred for bulk and, while adding to Roserade's already good special bulk and great power, still outspeeds maximum invested base 60's, notably Swampert. The second spread is preferred if revenge killing common threats to balance like Heracross and Feraligatr is preferred, and it can still absorb Scalds, Moonblasts, and weak special attacks well.

This is probably awful but all the good sets are gone... So without further ado-

Venoshock Roserade lol noob alert :) :toast:

Roserade @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SpAtk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Timid Nature
- Toxic Spikes
- Giga Drain
- Venoshock
- Extrasensory

Now, the set looks fairly standard all the way up until the last two moves. Venoshock, despite its lesser consistency, has an increased damage output that can really catch teams off guard. When the foe is poisoned, Venoshock's power becomes 130, far outclassing Sludge Bomb's 90. Extrasensory is there to punish poison-types like Tentacruel or Toxicroak that think they can switch in safely and remove Toxic Spikes for their team. On a team that can deter hazard removal with offensive pressure or spinblocking, Roserade can put in some work.
Note- Venoshock isn't in the Smogon Damage Calc, so I changed Leaf Storm to Poison type since it's the same base power.
252 SpA Life Orb Roserade Leaf Storm vs. 252 HP / 24+ SpD Florges: 330-390 (91.6 - 108.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

SD Roserade

252 SpA Life Orb Roserade Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Entei: 341-402 (91.9 - 108.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Roserade Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Entei: 235-278 (63.3 - 74.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Roserade Sludge Bomb vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Arcanine: 224-265 (58.4 - 69.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Life Orb Roserade Leaf Storm vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Reuniclus: 308-364 (72.6 - 85.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (Make it fear status!!!)
252 SpA Life Orb Roserade Sludge Bomb vs. 248 HP / 232+ SpD Mega Ampharos: 129-152 (33.6 - 39.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Roserade Leaf Storm vs. 248 HP / 232+ SpD Mega Ampharos: 185-218 (48.3 - 56.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after poison damage

Extrasensory calcs vs. poison types just for kicks and giggles:
252 SpA Life Orb Roserade Extrasensory vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Beedrill: 265-315 (97.7 - 116.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Roserade Extrasensory vs. 240 HP / 252+ SpD Roserade: 156-185 (48.5 - 57.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
