[SET COMMENT]
With decent offensive stats, unique typing and wide movepool, Heavy-Duty Boots Iron Moth is a great offensive threat that is capable of checking popular threats such as Choice Specs Iron Valiant and Mega Scizor and keeps momentum up if needed. Fiery Dance is favored over other Fire-type moves because with its boost, Iron Moth is able to break through lesser sturdy checks like Gliscor. Energy Ball paired with Tera Grass is usually the first choice to reverse its matchup against Water-, Ground-, and Rock-type Pokemon such as Alomomola, Ting-Lu, and Garganacl. Dazzling Gleam boosted by Tera Fairy allows it to blow up Zamazenta, Dragon-type Pokemon like Garchomp and Raging Bolt that it otherwise struggles against. Tera Blast combined with Tera Ground lets it OHKO its biggest predator, Heatran, as well as hit popular special walls like Galarian Slowking and Toxapex for super effective damage. All three coverage moves also help Iron Moth beat Tyranitar after it switches into entry hazards multiple times. The last slot is usually reserved for utility. U-turn takes advantage of Iron Moth's ability to lure in checks such as Galarian Slowking and Clodsire and pivots wallbreaker teammates like Mega Tyranitar and Mega Medicham in, aiding a more offensive playstyle; Morning Sun boosts Iron Moth's longevity, enabling it to stay healthy and check opposing Mega Scizor and Iron Valiant throughout the game. Because of its mediocre Base Power moves, Iron Moth often struggles with bulky walls; therefore, it appreciates hazard support from teammates like Gliscor, Hisuian Samurott, and Ferrothorn to chip at checks such as Heatran and Garganacl, while powerful wallbreakers such as Mega Medicham, Mega Tyranitar, and Weavile improve its matchup against sturdy walls that ignore hazard chip damage like Galarian Slowking, Toxapex, and Blissey. Mega Tyranitar and Weavile especially help in chipping and even eliminating those walls with Pursuit support, which often relieves the urgency for Iron Moth to use Tera as well. In return, Iron Moth can pressure and threaten physical walls like Slowbro and Great Tusk that its teammates have trouble with. Iron Moth also appreciates slow pivots that can bring it safely onto the field, such as Galarian Slowking and Alomomola.
