The NPA is a Gen 9 1v1 Pokemon League that is inspired and structured like the NBA. Each team will be led by 2 players. The potential partner may be a friend or someone else of the applicant's choosing. The league starts with a 4 Week Regular Season consisting of each player playing a total of 5 1v1 games per week. Since there are 2 players on a team, that will mean a team has played a combined total of 10 Games per week. Which leaves a record between 0-40 at the end of the Regular Season. Just like the NBA, once the regular season has concluded, the top eight teams from each conference advance to the playoffs with a 1v8, 2v7, 3v6, 4v5 bracket respectively. The conference champions from both conferences participate in the championship game to determine the champion of the league.
The champion team of the league will win 250$ USD split between the 2 Players.
The league follows the [Gen 9] 1v1 Smogon rules.
