Flavor:

The arena is bathed in blue light as both trainers release their Pokemon. Neko has selected Solotl to lead the offensive, a fighter capable of applying pressure across nightblitz's lineup; to counter, nightblitz has selected Rotom, hoping to overwhelm Solotl with superior stats and dangerous neutral damage.

The battle begins in a flash; before Solotl can react, Rotom emits a pulse of yellow light, engulfing the miniature amphibian in a potent electrical field. Although debilitating, this attack does not prevent Solotl from striking Rotom with a burning tongue, inflicting painful wounds that could easily be aggravated by future attacks. In retaliation, Rotom conjures a nightmarish illusion, shocking its opponent into a brief state of mortal terror. As a result, Solotl suddenly senses the need to preserve its strength, channeling its will into a glowing orb and casting the potent reserve into the sky. Rotom then continues its assault, tormenting Solotl with unrelenting horrors. This series proves especially effective, as Solotl is momentarily paralyzed by fear. With the round coming to a close, nightblitz has gained a moderate advantage, but Neko's incoming wish may help shift their fortune. However, Solotl's waning paralysis still poses a threat to Neko's success, as the resultant chance is large enough to warrant consideration. Stay tuned for the next round!

Flavor:

Relentless in its onslaught, Rotom continues to summon the visages of vile specters, petrifying its opponent with mind-rending fear. Wounded and disheartened, Solotl emits a mystical chime, purging itself of all physical ailments as the . Rotom appears displeased by Solotl's recovery, and it releases a large blast of electrical energy, seemingly in an attempt to reinstate Solotl's handicap. However, Solotl's recent rejuvenation has strengthened its fortitude, allowing it to strike unfazed with a retaliatory lashing.

With its foe reeling, Solotl seizes the opportunity to ready a powerful attack. Cloaking its body in a brilliant flame, Solotl lunges forward, leaving a plume of sparks in its wake as it careens toward the buzzing phantom. Unfortunately, Rotom predicted this behavior, and its prompt countermeasure created not only the respite in which Solotl found its determination, but an adequate decoy for Solotl's impending fury. Thus, Solotl crashes into the flimsy target, surrounded with a tumultuous blaze, destroying it with immense force.

As the dust clears, both Pokemon appear to show signs of their prolonged encounter: Solotl is relatively unharmed, given its prior condition and the robust impact of its final strike, but its vitality is dangerously waning; in contrast, Rotom shouldered a significantly larger burden this round, having siphoned its health to create the duplicate target and fool Solotl, but it remains healthy enough to pose a challenge to Neko's team. Nevertheless, Solotl will assuredly endure another action of combat, creating an opportunity for Neko to shift the battle's momentum. With a pale blue flash, Neko deploys their second Pokemon. As the fearsome Absol enters the arena, the crowd's excited chatter is reduced to a trepidatious murmur, as if the Pokemon's mere presence has cast a suffocating pall of unease over its surroundings. After a brief period of hesitation, Rotom gathers energy and launches an electrified sphere at its opponent; however the action seems to have inflicted a greater strain on Rotom than its intended target, as Absol shrugs off the attack and begins to oscillate its image, splitting itself into three identical duplicates. Seemingly outmatched, Rotom emits a wide electric field, reducing the intensity of its attack to engulf all of its potential targets. As the painful energy cascades through the trio of Absols, the duplicates flicker and vanish, leaving the prime Absol unguarded. However, this distraction earns Absol enough time to bolster its strength, who whirls around, scraping its wicked horn on the ground and arena flora until the formidable edge is dangerously sharp. Stricken by fear and overwhelmed by the stress of prolonged combat, Rotom looses a second orb of electrical energy, striking Absol directly in the torso. However, this attack is once more insufficient to stop Absol; having finalized its preparations, Absol now moves with frightening speed to close the gap between the combatants, deliver a gruesome strike across Rotom's body that knocks the specter from the air to the ground, where it lies motionless until recalled by its trainer. Neko has earned their first knockout to even the score in this match, and Absol has acquired a useful boost in the process. However, the ensuing rounds are yet unpredictable; stay tuned to witness the battle unfold.

Flavor:

After a brief moment of hesitation, nightblitz sends out a replacement, Treecko, and the fight continues. Unimpressed by its new foe, Absol grinds its claws against the arena floor, sharpening them to fine points. Treecko attacks, launching an emerald sphere of glowing energy that strikes Absol's body with a cascade of green light. Wounded, Absol retaliates, lacerating Treecko with a malicious assault. Treecko then projects a red beam of beam onto Absol, draining its energy in a painful surge of power. Infuriated, Absol lashes out, landing a horrible blow across Treecko's chest. In desperation, Treecko attempts to dispatch its opponent with a second orb of concentrated energy, but its efforts are unsuccessful.

Neko stands poised to claim a second knockout in the following round, so nightblitz must act quickly to restore the previous balance; however, with the advantage of a second order, this may less difficult to achieve. Stay tuned.

The resultant impact is unusually strong, as Treecko slams into its opponent with impressive force, but the magnitude of this attack appears insignificant to Absol, who easily strikes back with a precise slash. As the battle continues, nightblitz summons Salandit to replace the fallen Treecko. Seizing the initiative, the new reptile prepares to dispatch its foe with a quick burst of flame, taking an aggressive stance as it musters a sufficient dosage of flammable venom for its imminent attack. However, the dropped guard of Salandit has not gone unnoticed by Absol, who lunges forth to deliver a painful slash before Salandit can react. Dazed but undisrupted, Salandit briefly pauses before whirling back to face Absol, spewing a torrent of corrosive flame that entirely engulfs its opponent.
