Other Metagames [Mix And Mega] Eternatus Offense+"Stall" [8th on Ladder]

:Eternatus: :Excadrill: :Corviknight: :Mamoswine: :Gengar: :Ditto:
Eternatus is just really good in MnM - its BST surpasses most dedicated megas. It forms simulatinous stall and offense cores which define the meta.

Offense:
:Excadrill: :Eternatus: (:Mamoswine:)
Excadrill destroys everything not bulky (or faster than it). Eternatus pressures anything bulky (and Ground immunes, and Cinderace). Mamoswine can act as a secondary Excadrill who can Ice Shard (but it'll be covered later).

Excadrill @ Diancite
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- Iron Head

Excadrill is really the cleaner of my team, but it provides the speed and power required to break down offense. Diancite allows Excadrill to surprisingly outspeed non Lopunnite Cinderaces, Eternatus, (and a bunch of other threats). Mold Breaker provides some surprising utility against Stall - OHKOING Latiasite Pex (which only Gengar can sometimes handle) after a +2. While this team may want Spin, Rock Slide breaks Madibuzz and chips Corviknight. In Offense teams, there's few things Excadrill won't switch into or completely OHKO, and that's where Eternatus comes in.

Eternatus @ Black Sludge
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 172 SpA / 88 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dragon Pulse
- Flamethrower
- Substitute
- Recover

Eternatus just eats Scalds, Foul Plays, and other moves defensive mons / pivots that try and damage it. Eternatus sets up and eventually beats (in non-dedicated stall teams) Pex, Corviknight, etc. On opponents like non Zen-Headbutt Cinderace, Eternatus can set up a Sub and then smack the switchin hard. I can't really emphasize enough how well Sub works out against Offense here, guaranteeing at least 1 strong hit if set up against things it dedicatedly wall like the Rotoms, Chandelure, Waters, etc.. It can even force out non Howl Altarnite Arcanine - it doesn't want the risk of Sludge Bomb, but even if it does know the set, ESpeed only has 4 uses and is successfuly stalled.

Stall
:Eternatus: :Corviknight::ditto:
Eternatus and Corviknight cover each others weaknesses rather well. In dedicated stall matches, both can afford to take a Scald Burn without punishment, stalling out Scald PP for a breaker to come in. Eternatus stalls offense itself with Sub+Recover, especially those with only 1 SE move. Corviknight in any matchup isn't a true staller but provides a good pivot who resists pix/aerliate.

Corviknight @ Sablenite
Ability: Mirror Armor
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Def / 216 SpD
Careful Nature
- Bulk Up
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- U-turn

Sablenite Corvi can blanket most offensive threats in the tier and U-Turn out - especially threats like -Ate Kommo-o and Noivern. Mirror Armor is useful against Intimidate Gyarados/Arcanine, the latter extremely important for easing the 2KO on Flare Blitz. Bulk Up + Brave Bird allows Corvi to threaten opposing set up sweepers/stall, and increase physical bulk against Mamoswine. With Roost being mandatory and U-Turn good for Excadrill, Defog couldn't be fit. Hazards aren't particularly common either way. Corvi is also the only Ground immunity of the team - if Corvi faints, nothing else can reliably switch in.

Ditto @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Imposter
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Transform

If SS OU / late SM OU is anthing to go by, Ditto is REALLY good. Ditto can copy the 100 BST stat boost and then have Choice Scarf, beating any boosted threat and anything fster than Excadrill. Scard notably turns slow breakers with spamable moves like -Ate Kommo-O into flat out sweepers. Ditto doesn't like getting burned normally, but against stall teams Ditto can freely eat scalds and PP stall with infinity refreshing moves. Ditto complements Corviknight well, able to copy anything that tries and break Corvi.

Stall Breaking:
:Mamoswine: :Gengar:
Mamoswine udderly tears apart defensive cores on non stall teams. But dedicated stall teams are prepared for Mamoswine, with Venu Corviknight or Latiasite Pex - and thats where Gengar comes in. If Gengar gets a chance to set up Nasty Plot, it easily tears apart any team. Mamoswine and Gengar also provide important speed options ouside of Excadrill.

Mamoswine @ Lucarionite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Shard
- Icicle Crash
- Earthquake
- Curse / Superpower

Mamoswine's bulk makes it easier to switch in compared to Excadrill. Thick Fat allows a one-time check of Glalilite users like Toxcitiy. Mamoswine with Adaptability destroys unprepared teams, not much else to say. Against stall, use Icicle Crash to continously chip down their Mamoswine check before switching, switching to Gengar as they heal. Curse allows Mamoswine to attempt a 1v1 against Sablite Corviknight but there isn't a real good move for the 4th slot. Ice Shard notably KOs some Dragapult after a Corviknight U-Turn, which no member can really take on that well.

Gengar @ Absolite
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 244 SpA / 12 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Bomb
- Thunderbolt
- Nasty Plot

Gengar's set is compressed for 2 (3) functions. Absolite is suboptimal, but this team requires the speed to beat any non Dragapult opponent (notably Cinderace). Focus Blast only really hits Ferrothron (which Eternatus handles well), while Thunderbolt destroys CorviPex. Eternatus can't even switch in to Thunderbolt -> Shadow Ball at +2 (but idk if SpD Etern could). STABs take out anything else. Gengar also can check +1 Pixilate Arcaninine, taking~90%.

Threats:
Boltbeam/Dracozolt:
Anything that can threaten both Corvi and Eternatus at the same time must be offensively threatened - they can come on Corviknight real easily. Mamoswine can check Boltbeam (like Glalilite Toxcitiy) once with Thick Fat, but doesn't have the bulk to win stall. Likewise ith Ditto and Dracozolt's Bolt Beak, though Ditto can countersweep with Outrage.

Sticky Web: With 0 hazard removal, Ditto is forced to be the lead on Sticky Web teams to return the webs. Ditto is vunlerable to Infestation this way, potentially being KO'd on 4 turn Infestatinon+Toxic. If the Sticky Web team contains a faster

Zenbutt Lopunnite Cinderace: Why do i mention Cinderace so much? Its popular and threatens all of the team (with zenbutt). Gengar must get a surprise outspeed and kill to get Cinderace.

Mamoswine: Nothing on my team can really take out opposing mamoswine easily, but idk the matchup too well since i haven't seen it too much

-ates: -Ates in general beat this team, but they are somewhat weaker with the limited dex. -atespeeds like Arcanine and Lucario are checked one time by Gengar (pix only) and Excadrill - corvi can't wall due to secondary typings. Repeated boombursts hurt too.

probably more, like anything that can threaten corvi are threats
