Mimikyu’s unresisted STAB combination, access to Swords Dance, and ability in Disguise make it one of the best late-game cleaners RU has to offer. Despite its middling power, Mimikyu can utilize Disguise to revenge kill faster sweepers as well as obtain a free turn to set up. Mimikyu also revitalizes hyper offense and bulky offense teams, which help it bypass checks like Cobalion while appreciating its ability to sweep and act as an emergency check to Noivern. Mimikyu appreciates support from strong wallbreakers and Knock Off users like Heat Wave Necrozma, Barraskewda, and Seismitoad to wear down Zarude so it can successfully sweep; otherwise, Zarude can use U-turn to break Disguise and then later KO with Power Whip. Defensive pivots such as Crobat and Cobalion pair up well. Spikes support from Pokemon such as Roserade and Klefki is also helpful to pressure Mimikyu’s checks due to its mediocre power.
