Diancie-Mega @ Diancite
Name: Wallbreaker (Fairy)
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Diamond Storm
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
- Mystical Fire
[Set Description]
Mega Diancie is a valuable asset to Fairy teams, featuring Magic Bounce to deflect entry hazards and status, wide coverage, and strong offensive capabilities with its high Speed. Diamond Storm often increases Mega Diancie's bulk and threatens foes like Enamorus and Mega Charizard Y. Moonblast handles threats like Mega Sableye and Latias. Earth Power can be used to counter Steel teams, OHKOing Heatran, Excadrill, and Magnezone, while dealing heavy damage to the likes of Skeledirge and Garganacl. Mystical Fire targets Steel-types that don't mind Earth Power, such as Ferrothorn, Celesteela, and Mega Scizor under Psychic Terrain. Alternatively, Mega Diancie can run Nature Power and use the various terrains set by its teammates to expand its wallbreaking abilities. Stealth Rock can be used to allow Mega Diancie to set its own hazard, but four attacks are recommended given Mega Diancie's wide coverage. Klefki provides Spikes and dual screens support which allows Mega Diancie to OHKO threats like Gholdengo, and it can also carry Thunder Wave to let Mega Diancie outspeed and take out threats like Mega Gallade and Spectrier. Tapu Koko takes on Water-types and aids in the Steel matchup by forcing out Corviknight and Celesteela. Tapu Bulu counters Ground- and Water-types like Great Tusk and Urshifu-R, while Tapu Lele takes on Poison-types and prevents priority moves from Azumarill and Mega Scizor. Iron Valiant is a great partner for the Steel matchup, but it also benefits from Tapu Koko's Electric Terrain to outspeed and take out faster threats such as Zeraora and Greninja. All of these teammates appreciate Mega Diancie's ability to bounce hazards back to the opponent, as Fairy teams do not possess entry hazard removal.
