Magnezone is a niche and somewhat inconsistent trapper that is able to remove bulky Steel-types in Metagross, Klefki, Registeel, Stakataka, and Steelix if played optimally. The combination of Iron Defense and Body Press lets it set up on and beat Fighting-weak Steel-types, while Thunderbolt takes care of Metagross. Air Balloon lets it use Magnet Rise against Metagross and Steelix and proceed to overwhelm them without fearing Earthquake. The given spread allows Magnezone to survive three Seismic Tosses from Registeel, outspeed Seismitoad, 3HKO bulky Metagross variants with Thunderbolt, and maximize Body Press damage.

Magnezone fits on specific teams that take advantage of it removing the listed Steel-types but are still able to deal with the Steel-types that it is unable to trap, namely Cobalion, Durant, Lucario, and Doublade. As such, common partners to Magnezone include Pokemon such as Dragon Dance Regidrago, Choice Scarf Indeedee, and Calm Mind Sylveon that both appreciate the removal of Steel-types and have ways of circumventing the Steel-types that Magnezone is helpless against. Because Magnezone's niche is so narrow, other teammates generally support the starting core for the team; for example, Zygarde-10% or Zarude can chip Fairy-types for Dragon Dance Regidrago to sweep. Finally, although the Steel-types Magnezone traps may set entry hazards while Magnezone is setting up, these hazards can be freely cleared once Magnezone removes the setter. Thus, hazard removal should focus on beating hazard setters that Magnezone cannot trap; good examples include Starmie and Volcanion.

Magnezone is a niche bulky Steel-type trapper, being able to effectively neuter Metagross, Klefki, Registeel, Stakataka, and Steelix (kind of, im still figuring this one out) if played optimally. The combination of Iron Defense and Body Press lets it set up on and beat Fighting-weak Steel-types, while Thunderbolt takes care of the rest. Air Balloon lets it safely use Magnet Rise against Metagross and Steelix, which are then overwhelmed by Magnezone. The given spread allows Magnezone to survive a Seismic Toss 3HKO from Registeel, outspeed Seismitoad, 3HKO bulky Metagross variants with Thunderbolt, and maximize Body Press damage.

Magnezone fits on specific team archetypes looking to take advantage of removing the listed Steel-types. However, these types of teams must be able to deal with Steel-types that Magnezone is unable to trap, namely Cobalion, Durant, Lucario, and Doublade. As such, teams with Magnezone can afford to run otherwise Steel-type weak Pokemon or sets; common partners to Magnezone include Pokemon such as Dragon Dance Regidrago, Choice Scarf Indeedee, or Calm Mind Sylveon because these have ways of circumventing the Steel-types that Magnezone is helpless against. Because Magnezone's niche is so narrow, other teammates generally support the starting core for the team; for example, Zygarde-10% or Zarude can chip Fairy-types for Dragon Dance Regidrago to sweep, or Barbaracle can take advantage of Fire-types for Quiver Dance Ribombee. Finally, the Steel-types Magnezone traps may set entry hazards while Magnezone is setting up. Because they will only get one opportunity, hazard removal should instead focus on hazard setters that Magnezone cannot trap; good examples include Starmie and Volcanion.

Magnezone is a niche bulky Steel-type trapper, being able to effectively neuter (feels like an unnecessarily complicated word, might as well say trap or remove) Metagross, Klefki, Registeel, Stakataka, and Steelix if played optimally. The combination of Iron Defense and Body Press lets it set up on and beat Fighting-weak Steel-types, while Thunderbolt takes care of the rest. Air Balloon lets it safely use Magnet Rise against Metagross and Steelix (maybe say "without fearing earthquake" or is that assumed prior knowledge), which are then overwhelmed by Magnezone. The given spread allows Magnezone to survive a Seismic Toss 3HKO from Registeel, outspeed Seismitoad, 3HKO bulky Metagross variants with Thunderbolt, and maximize Body Press damage.

Magnezone is a niche and somewhat inconsistent bulky Steel-type trapper that is able to trap and remove bulky Steel-types in (To make clear you don't mean "it is a bulky pokemon, a steel type, and a trapper. If you did mean that, you can do like "a bulky steel-type that is able to trap and remove...") Metagross, Klefki, Registeel, Stakataka, and Steelix if played optimally. The combination of Iron Defense and Body Press lets it set up on and beat Fighting-weak Steel-types, while Thunderbolt takes care of the rest Metagross and Klefki. (make sure this is what you mean) Air Balloon lets it use Magnet Rise against Metagross and Steelix and proceed to overwhelm them without fearing Earthquake (RC) which are then overwhelmed by Magnezone. The given spread allows Magnezone to survive a Seismic Toss 3HKO three Seismic Tosses from Registeel, outspeed Seismitoad, 3HKO bulky Metagross variants with Thunderbolt, and maximize Body Press damage.

(this is peripheral to mag itself so I don't think more than one example is needed) Finally, although the Steel-types Magnezone traps may set entry hazards while Magnezone is setting up, (period -> comma) Because they will only get one opportunity these hazards can be freely cleared once Magnezone removes the setter. Thus, hazard removal should instead focus on beating hazard setters that Magnezone cannot trap; good examples include Starmie and Volcanion.
