Choice Specs Magnezone combines its ability to trap and remove certain Steel-types with potent special wallbreaking prowess that lets it rip through common defensive staples such as Tapu Fini, Clefable, and Mega Tyranitar. It is an effective pivot with Volt Switch, though it must be wary of Ground-types like Iron Treads and Excadrill switching in. Hidden Power Grass primarily targets Gastrodon and Quagsire, and it also hits other, rarer Pokemon that share their type combination like Swampert. Hidden Power Fire is an alternative to hit Iron Treads and Excadrill on the switch and also OHKO Scizor after trapping it. Magnezone best fits on offense teams looking for a means to remove Steel-types, primarily Skarmory and Celesteela. Removing the former enables numerous physical attackers, such as Mega Tyranitar, Meowscarada, and Ogerpon-C, while removing the latter enables teammates such as Latios, Enamorus, and Serperior. Pivots such as Hydreigon and Slowking can form effective pivoting cores with Magnezone, helping it safely switch into foes like Slowbro and Clefable while it helps them switch into foes like Serperior and Victini in return; physically attacking pivots like Meowscarada can notably lure Skarmory in. Due to Skarmory possessing Sturdy and Body Press, Stealth Rock support from teammates such as Mega Tyranitar and Clefable greatly aids Magnezone. Magnezone struggles to take on Ground-types such as Hippowdon and Ting-Lu, and depending on its choice of coverage, it's walled by Ground / Water types like Gastrodon or Ground / Steel types like Excadrill, making Grass- and Water-types such as Serperior and Keldeo useful partners. Magnezone struggles to break through special walls like Chansey and Blissey, making the aforementioned physical wallbreakers useful; Pursuit trappers such as Mega Tyranitar and Bisharp are especially effective at removing these foes, and they appreciate Magnezone's pivoting capabilities.

Substitute lets Magnezone take advantage of switches from foes it forces out such as Tapu Fini and Clefable and exploit status moves like Amoonguss's and Celesteela's Leech Seed. Hidden Power Grass targets Gastrodon, Quagsire, and some rare foes like Swampert. Electrium Z powering up Thunderbolt helps Magnezone break through certain foes it traps such as Scizor and specially defensive Celesteela; Steelium Z primarily helps against Ground- and Grass-types such as Hippowdon and Mega Venusaur. Magenzone best fits on offense teams looking to remove certain Steel-types, namely Skarmory and Celesteela. This enables numerous teammates such as Mega Tyranitar, Ogerpon-C, and Scizor. Since it fears taking Skarmory's Body Press and Celesteela's Flamethrower upon switching in, a pivot that can lure them in like Meowscarada or Scizor is a great partner. A Stealth Rock setter like Clefable can let Magnezone avoid Sturdy to OHKO Skarmory. Magnezone is completely helpless against Excadrill and Iron Treads, so Grass- and Water-types such as Tangrowth and Slowbro can help help by dealing with these foes. After removing opposing Steel-types, Magnezone isn't particularly useful, though it's still a reasonably strong special wallbreaker, especially if it still can use its Z-Move. It struggles with special walls like Blissey and Chansey, so physical wallbreakers, notably Pursuit trappers like Mega Tyranitar, can help by removing them.

Choice Specs Magnezone combines its ability to trap and remove certain this could be too general since it cannot trap all Steel-types Steel-types with potent special wallbreaking prowess, capable of ripping through common defensive staples such as Tapu Fini and Clefable id mention mega ttar here since it's the premier spdef option in the tier. It is an effective pivot with Volt Switch, though it must be wary of an opposing Ground-types reworded this because since "an opposing" is typically reserved for talking abt a mirror of the given mon like Iron Treads and Excadrill switching in. Hidden Power Grass primarily targets Gastrodon and other rarer Pokemon that share its type combination such as Quagsire and Swampert Quagsire is honestly not too uncommon these days, so I think you could lump it in with the Gastrodon part then list Swampert. something like "Hidden Power Grass primarily targets Gastrodon and Quagsire as well as the nicher Swampert". Hidden Power Fire is an alternative to hit Iron Treads and Excadrill on the switch, and also OHKO Scizor after trapping it. Magnezone best fits on offense teams looking for a means to remove Steel-types, primarily Skarmory and specially defensive Celesteela. Removing the former enables numerous physical attackers, such as Mega Tyranitar, Meowscarada, and Ogerpon-C, while removing the latter enables teammates such as Choice Specs idt Choice Specs is entirely necessary here. Could just say Latios, however it's your choice Latios, Enamorus, and Serperior. Pivots such as Slowbro and Slowking can form effective VoltTurn cores with Magnezone, helping each other get onto the field safely this lacks much depth, how do they support each other? List what they pivot on for the other to punish; physically attacking pivots like Meowscarada can notably lure Skarmory in. Due to Skarmory possessing Sturdy and a super effective Body Press, Stealth Rock support from teammates such as Mega Tyranitar and Clefable greatly aid Magnezone. Magnezone struggles to take on Ground-types, notably Excadrill and Iron Treads, making Grass- and Water-types such as Serperior and Keldeo useful partners. you should list sturdier grounds here, since exca and treads can take heavy dmg from an hp fire as mentioned earlier. Hippo and ting would be good Magnezone struggles to break through special walls like Chansey and Blissey, making the aforementioned physical wallbreakers useful; Pursuit trappers such as Mega Tyranitar and Bisharp are specially effective at removing these foes, and they appreciate Magnezone's pivoting capabilities.

Substitute lets Magnezone abuse switches from foes it forces out such as Tapu Fini and Clefable, status moves from foes like Amoonguss, and Protect from the Steel-types it traps like Celesteela. and Celesteela's Leech Seed. every other relevant Steel-type has an out to hit you, so it should only specifically be Celesteela listed Hidden Power Grass targets Gastrodon and some rare foes like Swampert and Quagsire same thing as paragraph 1. Electrium Z powering up Thunderbolt helps Magnezone break through certain foes it traps such as Scizor and specially defensive Celesteela; Steelium Z primarily helps against Ground- and Grass-types such as Hippowdon and Amoonguss Amoonguss cant do anything to you behind sub, so id opt for a different example like Serperior or Mega Venusaur. Magenzone best fits on offense teams looking to remove certain Steel-types, namely Skarmory and Celesteela. This enables numerous teammates such as Mega Tyranitar, Ogerpon-C, and Scizor. Since it fears Skamory and Celesteela's Body Press and Flamethrower upon switching in, respectively, a pivot that can lure them in like Meowscarada and Scizor is a great partner.
