It may not be the Mon(don't use mon) Pokemon of Steel, but it will strike gear into the hearts of many! The threat of Gear Grind forces out prominent Ice-types like Aurorus, Articuno, and Frosmoth, as well as the premier Fairy-types in Alcremie and Clefairy. (Rather than just saying Gear Grind (quite generic and obvious), Klinklang as a whole is just a very good offensive and defensive answer to the Pokemon you've mentioned, yes it's an offensive set but it can still switch into these Pokemon in order to capitalise on them) Choice Band Klinklang is a potent wallbreaker that doubles up as a great switch-in to prominent Ice-types like Aurorus, Articuno, and Frosmoth, as well as premier Fairy-types in Alcremie and Clefairy. Water-types like Poliwrath, Pyukumuku, and Wishiwashi Wishiwashi, Qwilfish, and Poliwrath (reordered in terms of VR relevancy and Qwilfish over Pyuku; former especially is a Pokemon Klinklang does not want to Gear Grind due to Rocky Helmet) that can switch into Gear Grind take massive damage by a predicted Wild Charge, 2HKOing all of them. Volt Switch brings dangerous special attackers like Rotom, Ninetales, and Thievul in safely. (It's main role isn't a pivot, the point of Volt Switch is to get out of its bad matchups so if would rephrase it to mention that Pokemon such as Tangela etc. can be lured in by Klinklang which is when Volt Switch is great for providing special attackers with a free turn) Should Klinklang be statused, Facade gives it good neutral coverage all-around, which is able to 2HKO Stunfisk, an otherwise safe switch-in. (The main reason Facade is used is because its contact moves leave it vulnerable to Flame Body and Static mons) Flame Body and Static Pokemon such as Rapidash, Coalossal, and Stunfisk pose a threat to Klinklang's wallbreaking attempts, so Facade is used to circumvent the negative effects of status. In order to maximize wallbreaking potential, it should either come in from a pivot like Rotom, Silvally-Poison, or Thwackey, or smartly switch in against passive walls like Articuno and Eldegoss.(If you're gonna mention pivot support mentioned pivots that bring in Pokemon that Klinklang can actually capitalise on, also it would be better if there is a point about Pokemon that benefit from Klinklang since a lot of points already talk about what options there are to help Klinklang) Fighting- and Electric-types like Gurdurr, Raichu, and Manectric Sawk, Rotom, and Raichu can work together to deal with Steel- and Water-types that Klinklang struggles to deal at once, respectively. Fighting-types like Throh and Gurdurr can be dealt with by Flying-types like Cramorant and Unfezant (Mention Fairy-types as well, and replace Unfezant with something more metagame/vr relevant).
