Jynx (1v1) [QC 0/2] [GP 0/1]

[OVERVIEW]

It's typing is extremely valuable as resisting psychic and ice, two of the top types in the tier is amazing and it also has the niche of being immune to freeze from bulky ice beam spammers like Chansey and Articuno, it can not only wall but even chip these pokemon down with Psychic or freeze them with Ice Beam. It also gains the benefit of having STAB on both of these top tier offensive types. However, despite all these benefits, It's stats really hold it back, making it incredibly physically frail and thus having a bad matchup against the top tier threats such as Snorlax and Tauros. The rest of Jynx's stats are not too great either, not that fast and not that strong. Jynx is extremely frail on the physical side so it struggles against strong attackers such as Tauros and Snorlax which it can't resist. It also loses to other top tier threats such as Jolteon and can lose to thunderbolt Starmie which is heavily in favour of Starmie. It can be used as an Exeggutor check on teams with Snorlax.

[SET]
name: Offense
Jynx (F)
Ability: No Ability
- Blizzard
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
- Rest

[SET COMMENTS]
This is the standard set that Jynx uses in the tier, Blizzard is essential for its moveset as it gives it higher odds into beating Rhydon and is also needed for the Zapdos match up. Ice beam is used for its more accuracy and pp for freeze fishing and general reliabilty. .Psychic is used to spam and drop the special stats of bulky threats like Articuno and Chansey. Rest allows it to stay healthy while it checks Chansey and Articuno by spamming psychic for special drops.
Set Description

It can be paired with reflect Snorlax to beat,Alakazam,Jolteon and Tauros, all of which Jynx happens to struggle with. Snorlax benefits from Jynx because Jynx beats reflect chansey, which Snorlax does not like facing and also reliably beating Zapdos, which Snorlax struggles to show consistency with and also relieves it from running Blizzard for Zapdos. Another great partner for Jynx is Zapdos, Zapdos covers the Slowbro and the Starmie matchups which Jynx can't beat without freeze luck. Zapdos benefits from Jynx beating Chansey and Jynx also helps out by beating Rhydon.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options

Jynx's move pool is very shallow but counter is an option to try and beat Snorlax. This set is used to try and beat pokemon who hit hard with strong normal type moves like Snorlax by retaliating back with counter for all of their HP. However, it can't beat Tauros with it since Tauros can use leer first and pick up the KO with hyper beam the following turn, Tauros can also win by using Earthquake and Hyper Beam the next turn. This set isn't really popular because it loses the relliable damage and freeze odds from Ice Beam because it nearly always picks Blizzard over Ice beam on this set, to beat Snorlax with counter and blizzard back to back.

Checks and Counters

Jynx's struggles against some of the fast special attackers in the tier such as Alakazam,Jolteon and Starmie. Alakazam beats it by forcing rests with toxic and fishing for special drops and eventually winning as Jynx gets forced to rest every turn it uses toxic maximizing the odds of special drops from Psychic.Jolteon wins by using thunderbolt three times and Starmie wins by chipping Jynx down with special drops from psychic, thunderbolt and recover.Tauros and Snorlax win by just using strong physical, STAB moves against it.

Not QC but as the resident GPer/RBY C&C person I'm going to strongly recommend looking at existing analyses on the dex as well as the Spelling and Grammar Standards to help your spelling and grammar as well as overall structure - please also use the RBY analysis skeleton from here, you have a number of issues with yours.

I just copy pasted the skeleton and added what I wanted to say, I dont know how I messed up that but I'll take a look at the spelling and grammar standards and existing analyses.

It's typing is extremely valuable as resisting psychic and ice, two of the top types in the tier is amazing and it also has the niche of being immune to freeze from bulky ice beam spammers like Chansey and Articuno. Reword this to both emphasise Jynx's Psychic and Ice resistances and also mentioning it having STAB on those two types. Also mention that it can not only wall those Pokemon, but chip them down with Psychic or freeze them with Ice Beam. Lastly, mention that Jynx's stats really hold it back, making it incredibly physically frail, not that fast, and not that strong, so it isn't a top tier threat despite the typing. It also counters the best leech seed staller in the tier, Exeggutor. It's main use in the tier is to beat bulky pokemon like Articuno and Chansey reliably.

These comments should be in the Overview area. Also make sure there isn't a gap between the sets comments and set description, you can follow the skeleton to make sure the formatting is all good

I like all of the comments here, I would just reorder things to fit the new move order. It can be paired with Hitmonlee to beat Snorlax it's biggest threat. Partners are usually reserved for a second paragraph. I would recommend talking about Snorlax, Chansey, and Zapdos for potential partners. Feel free to ask me if you need more context for matchups for these guys. Make sure to talk about both how they benefit Jynx, but also how Jynx benefits them.

This set isn't really popular because it loses the Zapdos and Rhydon odds if it picks Ice beam for reliable damage and it will also miss out on the reliable damage if it picks Blizzard to beat Zapdos and Rhydon. Jynx would always drop Ice Beam, as it needs the damage from Blizzard for Lax. Counter unfortunately doesn't actually OHKO Snorlax, but Counter into Blizzard almost always KOes. I would mention that Tauros can also use Earthquake into Hyper Beam against Counter Jynx.

Checks and Counters
===================
Jynx's major counters and threats consist of Tauros, which it can't beat with counter and Snorlax which it can beat with beat with counter but since counter is unpopular Snorlax can be used as a Jynx check. Alakazam is also a notable counter by using toxic to force rests and spamming psychic on the turns Jynx is asleep for special drops and eventually wins. Jolteon wins by living 2 Blizzards and knocks Jynx out in 3 hits, outspeeding it. Try to match the formatting from other analyses. I would recommend talking about fast Special attackers (mainly Alakazam, Starmie, and Jolteon), Snorlax, and Tauros.

Let me know when you implement these and I'll take another look. I can also help you out with more of the general grammar stuff if you need, just let me know!

Hey, unfortunately will be rejecting your analysis. I would recommend taking some time to learn more about the metagame before requesting another.
