Gen 6 Jellicent (Done)

[OVERVIEW]

Jellicent has an excellent Ghost / Water defensive typing alongside a fantastic Special Defense stat, allowing it to act as a solid wall and the best spinblocker in the tier. It also has access to good utility moves such as Recover to keep itself healthy, Will-O-Wisp to cripple foes, and Taunt to prevent foes from healing, setting entry hazards, or throwing out a status move. Its ability Water Absorb also allows it to take Water-type attacks from the likes of Slowbro, Keldeo, and Starmie. Jellicent's Ghost typing makes it an excellent choice to have on hazard stacking teams, as it can block Rapid Spin from the likes of Excadrill and Starmie. Jellicent does, however, have very poor Speed, making it difficult to utilize Taunt against many fast Pokemon effectively. Jellicent's low Defense also holds it back, as it struggles to reliably check physical attackers suck as Excadrill, Mega Metagross, Mega Lopunny, and Mega Medicham. Jellicent's typing also leaves it weak to common types like Dark and Electric.

Moves
========

Will-O-Wisp allows Jellicent to cripple Tyranitar, Mega Metagross, Mega Scizor, Landorus-T, and many other physical attackers. Recover is used to help Jellicent stay healthy throughout the game. Taunt can be used to stop foes from recovering, using status moves, setting up, or setting entry hazards. Scald is Jellicent's main STAB move and has a useful chance to burn foes. Night Shade offers consistent damage and enables Jellicent to chip down foes regardless of its lack of offensive EVs.

Set Details
========

44 Speed EVs allow Jellicent to outspeed Clefable so it can get off Taunt before Clefable can use Thunder Wave, Calm Mind, or Soft-Boiled. 44 Speed EVs also allow Jellicent to outspeed Pokemon with base 65 Speed, which includes Alomomola and Scizor before it Mega Evolves. 248 HP EVs allow Jellicent to take less damage from Spikes. 216 Defense EVs slightly optimize Jellicent's physical bulk, given its Bold nature. Leftovers provides Jellicent with passive recovery, though Colbur Berry can be used instead to help it absorb Dark-type moves like Knock Off, Crunch, and Pursuit.

Usage Tips
========

Jellicent should be used as a defensive pivot, so utilize Water Absorb to take Water-type attacks like Hydro Pump from Keldeo, Surf from Choice Specs Latios, and Scald from Starmie and Slowbro. Take advantage of Jellicent's Ghost typing to stop Rapid Spin from Excadrill and Starmie as well as Fighting-type moves like High Jump Kick from Mega Medicham and Hammer Arm from Mega Metagross. Use Will-O-Wisp to cripple threats like Ferrothorn, Excadrill Mega Scizor, and other physical attackers, and Taunt to stop setup and shut down slower defensive Pokemon like Chansey and Clefable. Recover should be used to keep Jellicent healthy and out of range of foe attacks. If running Colbur Berry, use it to absorb a Dark-type move like Crunch or Knock Off from a physical attacker like Bisharp, Weavile, or Tyranitar and retaliate with Will-O-Wisp, making it easier for Jellicent to handle them.

Team Options
========

Jellicent is the best spinblocker in the tier, making Spikes setters like Ferrothorn and Skarmory good partners. Ferrothorn is especially good, as it can also provide support through Thunder Wave and Knock Off. Jellicent also appreciates its own hazard removal, making spinners like Excadrill and Defog users like Latios and Latias great partners. Jellicent does not appreciate taking status moves like Toxic, making status absorbers like Magic Guard Clefable and Gliscor great partners. Clefable and Gliscor also appreciate Jellicent's ability to bait Choice Band and Choice Scarf users like Tyranitar and Weavile to lock themselves into Pursuit so they can set up. The same applies to other setup Pokemon like Mega Scizor and Bisharp. Speaking of Pursuit, Pokemon like Weavile and Tyranitar can help Jellicent remove threats like Latios and Latias that resist Jellicent's Scald. Mega Metagross can also provide Pursuit support and checks the status absorbers that like switching into Jellicent's Will-O-Wisp, like Clefable and Gliscor, with Meteor Mash and Ice Punch, respectively. Assault Vest Tornadus-T can help deal with Grass-types like Serperior, switch into Dragon-types that resist Water like Latios, and provide Knock Off support. Mega Latias appreciates Jellicent's ability to burn Dark-types and can act as a wincon thanks to this. Heatran forms a nice defensive core with Jellicent, as it can take on Grass-types like Serperior as well as other threats like Choice Specs Latios and Volcarona. Heatran also appreciates Jellicent's ability to take on Water-types like Keldeo.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
========

Protect is a viable option to scout out moves, which is especially useful against Choice-locked Pokemon like Choice Scarf Tyranitar and Magnezone as well as Choice Band Weavile. An example of this is scouting whether Choice Scarf Tyranitar will use Pursuit or Crunch so you know whether or not you should switch out. Hex is also a viable option, as it can do a lot of damage in combination with Will-O-Wisp.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Status Absorbers**: Clefable does not mind being burnt by Scald or Will-O-Wisp from Jellicent and can recover off any damage thanks to Leftovers and Soft-Boiled. Gliscor can avoid being burnt thanks to its Toxic Orb and Poison Heal; it takes very little damage from Scald and can set up on Jellicent with Swords Dance. Mega Altaria does not mind being burnt, as it has access to Heal Bell, can set up on Jellicent with Dragon Dance, and can recover off any damage thanks to Roost.

**Electric-types**: Thundurus is able to soak up any hit from Jellicent and threaten it back with Thunderbolt. Magnezone can also take any hit from Jellicent and retaliate with Thunderbolt or Volt Switch to gain momentum. Rotom-W can cripple Jellicent with Will-O-Wisp and threaten it with a Volt Switch. Zapdos can threaten Jellicent with a STAB Electric-type move and recover off any damage Jellicent dishes out with Roost.

**Grass-types**: Serperior can threaten Jellicent with Leaf Storm or set up Substitute safely on it. Amoonguss can soak up anything Jellicent throws out and threaten it back with Spore or Giga Drain while being able to recover off any damage with Regenerator. Tangrowth shares a similar role, as it also has Regenerator and can threaten Jellicent with Giga Drain or Knock Off.

**Dark-types**: Strong Dark-types like Tyranitar, Weavile, Crawdaunt, Bisharp, and Hydreigon can threaten Jellicent with a Dark-type move like Knock Off, Pursuit, Crunch, or Dark Pulse. However, a majority of them are physical attackers that do not appreciate taking Will-O-Wisp.

**Status**: Status moves like Toxic and Will-O-Wisp chip down Jellicent, forcing it to use Recover or switch out. Jellicent also does not appreciate Thunder Wave, as it becomes slower than defensive Pokemon, allowing them to use a move before it can use Taunt.

**Offensive Pressure**: Attacks that can do a lot of damage and force Jellicent to use Recover are threatening towards it. These attacks include Thunder Punch from Mega Metagross and Mega Medicham, Hidden Power Grass from Keldeo, Tail Glow-boosted attacks from Manaphy, Choice Specs-boosted Draco Meteor from Latios, Moonblast from Mega Diancie, Return from Mega Lopunny, and Thunderbolt from Mega Latias.

Will-O-Wisp allows Jellicent to cripples and half foe's attack in half which is useful against the likes of Tyranitar, Mega Metagross, Mega Scizor, Landorus-T, and many other physical attackers. Recover is used to help Jellicent stay alive and healthy. Taunt can be used to stop foes from recovering, using status moves, setting up, or putting up entry hazards. Scald is Jellicent's main Water-type STAB move which also has a nice niche of having a chance to burn foes. Night Shade offers consistent damage and enables it to chip down foes regardless of Jellicent's lack of offensive EVs.

44 Speed EVs allow Jellicent to outspeed Clefable allowing Jellicent to taunt it before Clefable can use Thunder Wave, Calm Mind, or Soft-Boiled. 44 Speed EVs also allows Jellicent to outspeed base 65s which includes Alomomola and Scizor before it mega evolves. 248 HP EVs allow Jellicent to take less damage from Spikes. A Bold nature and 216 EVs in defense help Jellicent take Physical attackers like Mega Metagross, Mega Scizor, Excadrill, and Landorus-T more easily. Leftovers provide Jellicent with passive recovery helping it stay healthy. Alternatively, Colbur Berry can be used to help Jellicent absorb Dark-type moves like Knock Off, Crunch, and Pursuit.

Usage Tips
========

Jellicent should be used as a defensive pivot. Utilize Jellicent's water Absorb ability to take Water-type attacks like Hydro Pump from Keldeo, Surf from Choice Specs Latios, and Scald from Starmie and Slowbro. Will-O-Wisp acts as a reliable source of burn to cripple threats like Ferrothorn, Excadrills, Mega Scizor, and other physical attackers. Use Taunt to stop setup and shut down slower defensive Pokemon like Chansey or Clefable. Recover should be used to keep Jellicent healthy and out of range of foe's attacks. If Jellicent has Colbur Berry, you can use it to absorb a Dark-type move like Crunch or Knock Off from Physical Attackers like Bisharp, Weavile, and Tyranitar and retaliate back with a Will-O-Wisp crippling them and making it easier for Jellicent to handle them.

Team Options

Jellicent is the best spinblocker in the tier, making Spikers like Ferrothorn and Skarmory good partners. On the other hand, Jellicent appreciates its own hazard removal as entry hazards like Stealth Rocks and Spikes can wear it down. This makes Rapid Spinners like Excadrill or Defog users like Latios and Latias great partners. Jellicent does not appreciate taking status moves like Toxic making status absorbers like Magic Guard Clefable and Poison Heal Gliscor great partners. Pursuit trappers like Weavile and Tyranitar can help Jellicent remove threats like Latios and Latias which could otherwise resist Jellient's attacks. Mega Metagross can also provide Pursuit support as well as check the status absorbers that like switching into Jellicent's Will-O-Wisp like Clefable and Gliscor with Meteor Mash and Ice Punch. Protect is a viable option to scout out moves. This is especially useful against Choice Locked users to scout what move they lock themself into. Hex is also a viable option as it can do a lot of damage especially with the combination of Will-O-Wisp.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Status Absorbers** Clefable does not mind being burnt by Scald or Will-O-Wisp from Jellicent and can recover off any damage thanks to its Leftovers and access to Soft-Boil. Jellicient is able to outspeed and Taunt it preventing Clefable from using Calm Mind or Soft-Boiled. Gliscor can avoid being burned by Scald or Will-O-Wisp thanks to its Toxic Orb and Poison Heal. Gliscor can also set up on Jellicent with Swords Dance and Roost off any attack Jellicent especially when Gliscor also has Poison Heal Activated. Mega Altaria does not mind being burned as it has access to Heal Bell, can set up on Jellicient with Dragon Dance as well as Roost away any damage Jellicient dishes out towards it.

**Electric-types** Thundurus is able to soak up any hit from Jellicent and threaten it back with a Thunderbolt. Magnezone can also soak up any it from Jellicent and can retaliate back with a Thunderbolt or Volt Switch to gain momentum. Rotom-W can cripple Jellicent with a Will-O-Wisp as well as threatening it with a super-effective Volt Switch. Zapdos can threaten Jellicient with a STAB electric-type move as well as Roost off any damage Jellicent dishes out.

**Grass-types** Serperior can threaten Jellicient with a Leaf Storm or get up a Substitute safety on it. Amoonguss can soak up anything Jellicient throws out and can threaten it back with a Spore or Giga Drain while also being able to recover off any damage with its Regenerator ability. Tangrowth shares a similar role as it also has Regenerator while also being able to threaten Serperior with Giga Drain or Knock Off.

**Dark-types** Strong Dark-types like Tyranitar, Weavile, Crawdaunt, Bisharp, and Hydreigon can threaten Jellicint with a Dark-type move like Knock Off, Pursuit, Crunch, or Dark Pulse. Although the majority of them are Physical attackers who do not appreciate taking a Will-O-Wisp.

**Status** Jellicient does not appreciate being put on a timer by Will-O-Wisp or Toxic forcing it to recover. Be wary of Will-O-Wisp from Pokemon like Rotom-W or Toxic from Pokemon like Heatran, Gastrodon, Keldeo, Slowbro, and Garchomp. Jellicient also does not appreciate being Paralyzed as it makes it's taunt less effective. Beware of Thunder-Wave users like Rotom-W, Clefable, and Slowbro. Do keep in mind that Taunt can prevent these status moves from being used if the foe is slower.

**Offensive Pressure** Offensive foes that can do a lot of damage are threatening towards Jellicient. These threats include Thunder Punch from Mega Metagross and Mega Medicam, Hidden Power Grass from Keldeo, Tail Glow Manaphy, Choice Specs Draco Meteor from Latios, Moonblast from Mega Diance, Return from Mega Lopunny as well as Thunderbolt from Mega Latias. All these attacks can do a good chunk to Jellicent forcing it to recover.

Overview
Condense the ghost and water typing weakness into one, saying its typing leaves it weak to common types like dark and electric.

Jellicents relatively low defense also holds it back as it struggles to reliably check physical attackers such as excadrill, metagross, lopunny, and medicham.

Set Details
Mention 216 def being a jump point, and instead of scarf landorus mention scarf tyranitar

Team options:
Go a bit more in depth in how good Ferrothorn is as a teammate for jellicent. It can use knock off, twave magic guard mons, and pivot into things that force out jellicent (on top of spikes)
Mega Latias is also a good partner as it can be used as a wincon and appreciates jellicent burning dark types

Other options: mention how protect is very helpful vs pursuit users

Checks and counters:
Remove the line about jelli outspeeding clef & taunting, and mention gliscor taking little damage from scald

Overall looks good, edit these in and I'll give the first qc :)

Edit: QC 1/2

I would 2 things added for the team options.
One is a mention for pursuit locked setup abusers. Pokemons like SD Bisharp, Gliscor, BD azumarill and many others all appreciate and become very threatning when a tyranitar or weavile gets locked to pursuit instead of one of their strong stabs allowing them to setup and find opportunities that normally they shouldnt have. This also improves your odds from teambuilding to win the 50/50 versus common trappers as usually they dont wanna be giving setup opportunities and prefer going for the safe stab attack.
The second partner i want mentioned is Heatran. Taunt is usually the way to run Tran + Jellicent but Toxic tran + Hex jellicent or even Magma Storm trapping is very valuable and strong with this core.
Spdef tran has good typing synergy with Jellicent and is able to eat alot of strong special attacks like hits from Specs Latios, Mega Alakazam, Charizard, Volcarona and more. At the same time Jellicent is an always good, reliable check to Keldeo which gives many opportunities for Heatran to come in as you are not worried about Keldeo at all. For last this core has the benefits of dealing very well with any standard Volcarona set (except maybe / sometimes the new popular Sub Swarm set) as Volc cant run both HP Ground and Giga Drain so scouting with one or the other to find what volc's set is and then dealing with it using your correct counter is very valuable in team building.
Overall your analysis looks good, edit 2/2 QC

44 Speed EVs allow Jellicent to outspeed Clefable so it can get off Taunt before Clefable can use Thunder Wave, Calm Mind, or Soft-Boiled. 44 Speed EVs also allow Jellicent to outspeed Pokemon with base 65 Speed, which includes Alomomola and Scizor before it Mega Evolves. 248 HP EVs allow Jellicent to take less damage from Spikes. 216 Defense EVs alongside a Bold nature allow Jellicent to hit a jumping point in order to help it face physical attackers like Mega Metagross, Mega Scizor, Excadrill, and Landorus-T more easily. slightly optimize Jellicent's physical bulk, given its Bold nature. (talked about on disc) Leftovers provides Jellicent with passive recovery, though Colbur Berry can be used instead to help it absorb Dark-type moves like Knock Off, Crunch, and Pursuit.

Usage Tips
========

Jellicent should be used as a defensive pivot, so utilize Water Absorb to take Water-type attacks like Hydro Pump from Keldeo, Surf from Choice Specs Latios, and Scald from Starmie and Slowbro. Take advantage of Jellicent's Ghost typing to stop Rapid Spin from Excadrill and Starmie and as well as Fighting-type moves like High Jump Kick from Mega Medicham and Hammer Arm from Mega Metagross. Use Will-O-Wisp to cripple threats like Ferrothorn, Excadrills, (this one got missed) Mega Scizor, and other physical attackers, and Taunt to stop setup and shut down slower defensive Pokemon like Chansey and Clefable. Recover should be used to keep Jellicent healthy and out of range of foe's attacks. If running Colbur Berry, use it to absorb a Dark-type move like Crunch or Knock Off from a physical attacker like Bisharp, Weavile, or Tyranitar and retaliate back with Will-O-Wisp, making it easier for Jellicent to handle them.

Team Options
========

Jellicent is the best spinblocker in the tier, making Spikes setters like Ferrothorn and Skarmory good partners. Ferrothorn is especially good, as it can also provide support through Thunder Wave and Knock Off for Jellicent. On the other hand, Jellicent also appreciates its own hazard removal, making spinners like Excadrill and Defog users like Latios and Latias great partners. Speaking of Pursuit, Pokemon like Weavile and Tyranitar can help Jellicent remove threats like Latios and Latias that would otherwise resist Jellicent's Scald. Mega Metagross can also provide Pursuit support as well as and checks the status absorbers that like switching into Jellicent's Will-O-Wisp(AC), like Clefable and Gliscor(AC), with Meteor Mash and Ice Punch, respectively. Assault Vest Tornadus-T can help deal with Grass-types like Serperior, switch into Dragon-types that resist Water like Latios as, and provide Knock Off support.

Other Options
========

Protect is a viable option to scout out moves, which is especially useful against Choice-locked users Pokemon like Choice Scarf Tyranitar and Magnezone as well as Choice Band Weavile. An example of this can be is scouting if whether Choice Scarf Tyranitar will use Pursuit or Crunch so you know whether or not you should switch out. Hex is also a viable option, as it can do a lot of damage in combination with Will-O-Wisp.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Status Absorbers**: Clefable does not mind being burnt by Scald or Will-O-Wisp from Jellicent and can recover off any damage thanks to Leftovers and access to Soft-Boiled. Gliscor can avoid being burnt thanks to its Toxic Orb and Poison Heal (RP) Gliscor (AS); it takes very little damage from Scald and can set up on Jellicent with Swords Dance. Mega Altaria does not mind being burnt(AS), as it has access to Heal Bell, can set up on Jellicent with Dragon Dance, and can recover off any damage from Jellicent thanks to Roost.

**Electric-types**: Thundurus is able to soak up any hit from Jellicent and threaten it back with Thunderbolt. Magnezone can also take any hit from Jellicent and can retaliate back with Thunderbolt or Volt Switch to gain momentum. Rotom-W can cripple Jellicent with Will-O-Wisp and threaten it with a Volt Switch. Zapdos can threaten Jellicent with a STAB Electric-type move and recover off any damage Jellicent dishes out with Roost.

**Grass-types**: Serperior can threaten Jellicent with Leaf Storm or set up Substitute safely (spelling) on it. Amoonguss can soak up anything Jellicent throws out and threaten it back with Spore or Giga Drain while also being able to recover off any damage with Regenerator.

**Status**: Status moves like Toxic and Will-O-Wisp chips down Jellicent(AC), forcing it to use Recover or switch out. Jellicent also does not appreciate Thunder Wave, as it makes its Taunt less effective because it becomes slower than defensive Pokemon(AC), allowing them to use a move before it can use Taunt. (capitalization)

**Offensive Pressure**: Attacks that can do a lot of damage and force Jellicent to use Recover (capitalization) are threatening towards it(AP). These threats attacks include Thunder Punch from Mega Metagross and Mega Medicham, Hidden Power Grass from Keldeo, Tail Glow-boosted attacks from Manaphy, Choice Specs-boosted Draco Meteor from Latios, Moonblast from Mega Diancie, Return from Mega Lopunny(AC), and Thunderbolt from Mega Latias.
