It's all about who's in the zone... *warstory* (SePh258 vs Jibaku REMATCH!!!)

Hello everybody!!! SePh258 is here once again to bring you all another warstory! (sounds like a TV show, huh?) Today I have a very special battle. Our hero SePh258, rematches his archnemesis, jibaku. Will our hero prevail? (or antagonist depending on who u like more) Read and find out!

My team:

Jibaku's team:

Once again, neither I or Jibaku have a team set in stone, but atleast they’re adequate and better than most teams posted here. ( I had no idea he was going to use the same team as he did last time) I decided at the last minute to bring breloom in as the starter to beat the weavile and swampy starts.

Jibaku sent out Salamence!
SePh258 sent out breloom!

Now, I have several options here. I could stay in and survive via focus sash, or I could switch to blissey hoping it’s CS’d and not CB’d. I would rather not take the risk so I’ll just stay in.

Salamence used flamethrower!
(99% dmg)
Breloom hung on with a focus sash!
Breloom used spore!
Salamence fell asleep...

Jibaku withdrew Salamence!
Jibaku sent out Cresselia!
SePh258 withdrew breloom!
SePh258 sent out RhySUPERIOR

The only reason I caps part of rhyperior’s name is because jibaku constantly calls it RhyINFERIOR. Anyway, I suppose switching was a bad idea. I guess I was a little too hasty to try and get rhyperior in there for a good shot. Oh well.

SePh258 withdrew Rhyperior!
SePh258 sent out Skamory!
Cresselia used Reflect!

Hmm, I think switching was right here, since I know his cresselia has grass knot, I don’t want to risk his wall killing my valuable CB’er.

Jibaku withdrew Cresselia!
Jibaku sent out Blissey!
Skarmory used Stealth Rock!
Rocks accumulated in the enemy area!

Hmm, he probably is going to ice beam predicing a switch to rhyperior, (assuming this is Cmbliss) so that’s not an option.

SePh258 withdrew skarmory!
SePh258 sent out Infernape!
Blissey used ice beam!
(24% dmg)
Infernape’s leftovers restored hp a little.

Yes, my infernape has lefties.Ok, I’m in a good position now. I wonder what he’ll switch to.

Infernape used nasty plot!
Infernape’s sp attack sharply rose!
Blissey used Thunderbolt!
(50% dmg)
Infernape’s leftovers restored hp a little

GAH!!!!! At this point, I realize he stayed in because reflect is still in play. I wasn’t really looking after, so I don’t know if it’s still in or how many turns it’s been. I assume it’s gone…..

Infernape used close combat!
(47% dmg)
Blissey used tbolt!
(32% dmg)
Infernape fainted!
Foe’s reflect faded…

5-6

Well, fuck…. Even if reflect was in, I still wouldn’t have Ko’d. To everybody out there who is using mixed infernape, don’t make the same mistake SePh did, give it more attack EV’s. Don’t just give it enough speed to outspeed adamant duggie (nobody uses duggie) max sp attack, and put like only 32 points in attack. Anyway, this isn’t looking good. I just threw away my infernape.

SePh258 sent out Rhyperior!

Atleast I finally got him in there.

Jibaku withdrew Blissey
Jibaku sent out Skarmory!
Skarmory is hurt by Stealth Rock!
Rhyperior used Stone Edge!
(54% dmg)
Skamory’s leftovers restored HP a little.

Alright, time to stone edge until I CH and kill that metal bird! I would switch to magnezone, but he’s probably going to switch, and I don’t want to show him it until I am 100% sure I am killing skarmory the next turn.

Skarmory used roost!
Skamory recovered HP!
Rhyperior used Stone Edge!
It’s not very effective
(27% dmg)
Skarmory’s leftovers restored HP a little

Dammit, roost gets rid of the Flying factor, how could I forget? Now, he’s going to stay in and roost or spike. Magnezone, you are free to move about the country.

SePh258 withdrew Rhyperior
SePh258 sent out Magnezone!
Skarmory used Roost!
Skarmory recovered HP!

Well, I’ll sub because I’m pretty sure he’s going to use spikes to get a layer in so breloom dies on the switch.

Magnezone used Substitute!
Skarmory used Spikes!
Spikes circulate the opponents area!
Magnezone’s leftovers restored HP a little

Ok, things are looking better, but I’m still worried about Blissey as well the rest of his team which seems to be unknown.

Magnezone used thunderbolt!
(100% dmg)
Skamory fainted!
Magnezone’s leftovers restored HP a little

5-5

Jibaku sent out Swampert!
Swampert is hurt by Stealth Rock!

O_O I wish I could have seen my face, you bet I was happy to see that!

Magnezone used Hidden Power!
(100% dmg)
Swampert fainted!
Magnezone’s leftovers restored HP a little!

5-4

Go-go magnezone!

Jibaku sent out Heracross!
Heracross is hurt by stealth rock
He must be really scared I have explosion lol. I’m hoping he misses with megahorn, or better yet uses close combat. <-- Yeah, right.

Heracross used close combat!
Magnezone’s substitute faded!
Heracross’s def and sp def fell!
Magnezone used thunderbolt!
(100% dmg)
Heracross fainted!

5-3

If only cool aid man were here to say “OH YEEAHH” I’m sure he’s regretting bringing out heracross. Maybe he was thiking of magneton were I wouldn’t have KO’d. Go-go Magnezone!

Jibaku sent out Blissey!
Blissey is hurt by Stealth Rock!

http://blog.dirkschuetze.de/wp-content/Kool-AidMan.jpg

Magnezone used explosion!
(60% dmg)
Blissey fainted!
Magenzone fainted!

4-2
Well, magnezone sure did his thing. Killed 4 pokes at the expense of his own life. Not bad…..

Jibaku sent out Cresselia!
Cresselia is hurt by Stealth Rock!
SePh258 sent out Rhyperior!
Rhyperior is hurt by spikes

At this point, I have: Breloom, whom will die via spikes, Rhyperior, will most likely die this next turn, Blissey and Skarmory.

Cresselia used grass knot!
(92% dmg)
Rhyperior fainted…..

3-2

Me: …
Jibaku: RhyINFERIOR!

SePh258 sent out Blissey!
Blissey is hurt by spikes…

At this point on aim this is what happens…..

Jibaku (11:58:06 AM):OMG stallwar
Jibaku (11:58:52 AM):Can we call this a tie?
SprUbr (11:58:55 AM):no
SprUbr (11:58:56 AM):I can win

Cresselia used Grass knot!
(2% dmg)
Blissey used ice beam!
(9% dmg)
Cresselia’s leftovers restored HP a little
Blissey’s leftoevers restored HP a little

Cresselia used reflect!
Blissey used Ice beam!
Cresselia was frozen solid!
Cresselia’s leftovers restored HP a little
Blissey’s leftoevers restored HP a little

SprUbr (11:59:25 AM):YES
SprUbr (11:59:35 AM):told u
Jibaku (11:59:41 AM):defrost!!!!!

Now, all I have to worry about is him defrosting. Which I am currently very worried about.

Cresselia is frozen solid!
Blissey used seismic toss!
(21% dmg)
Cresselia’s leftovers restored HP a little
Blissey’s leftoevers restored HP a little

Cresselia is frozen solid!
Blissey used seismic toss!
(21% dmg)
Cresselia’s leftovers restored HP a little
Blissey’s leftoevers restored HP a little

Yay!

Cresselia is frozen solid!
Blissey used seismic toss!
(21% dmg)
Cresselia’s leftovers restored HP a little
Blissey’s leftoevers restored HP a little

Please, just one more turn and I can win this thing!!!! But unfortunately….

Cresselia is frozen solid!
Blissey used seismic toss!
(21% dmg)
Cresselia Fainted!!!

3-1

for jibaku!!!! Freeze hax hates him...

Jibaku sent out Salamence!
Salamence is hurt by stealth rock! (1/4th of it’s HP woot)
Blissey used ice beam!
(75% dmg)
Salamence fainted!!!

3-0

Phew! If cressy defrosted, I was gonna call it a draw too.

Props:
~I won, which is always good.
~Magnezone for being "in the zone," or "MagnezOWNING"
~Blissey for freezing Cresselia
~Sandsteam teams are not as good as a lot of you guys are making them out to be. (I know neither of us used them, but they're pretty easy to beat. And using rhyperior to use their sandstorm to your advantage is really funny)
~My time for breeding for HP ice or grass paid off.

Slops:
~Cresselia for killing rhyperior
~Me, forgetting about reflect
~Me, for not putting enough attack EV's into my infernape
~Leftovers for being worse than life orb on infernape, unlike the last warstory.
~I now like physical ape a lot more than mixed which will surely lose me a game in the near future, something is just telling me that.
~Jibaku used the same team. It's not bad at all, in fact it's really good, I just wanted something different lol.
~We rematched right after with different teams, I was winning, then my wifi died and we got DC'd. >_<

It used close combat, so it's sp def dropped, allowing me to 1hko. Yes, all hail the mighty magnezone!!!!

<3 it. Great story.

I have yet to see Focus Sasher die to anything other than Spikes/ Rocks, which saddens me.

gj Snor. better luck next time Freakshow.

Very cool. Magnezone was a monster that game. I would have gone to Bliss early and used it as bait for Explosion, but that's just me.

gg dudes

Thanks for sharing! Are you running Attack EVs on 'Zone for the Explosion? Wondering how much it does to a healthy Bliss...

And it's "fainted". To feint is to fake out.

Ok, edited. I'm not sure what my zone's EV spread is. I think I put about 100 attack EV's. I have it written down somewhere.........

As I've said before, Life Orb is perfect for Infernape, especially mixed Infernape; it is pretty much the ideal life orb user as it pushes its damage 'over the hump' into an OHKO on so many things. But you know that already.

Awesome warstory. Highway to the MAGNEZONE.

Lol MVPof this match-MAGNAZONEEEE

I might get me one now lol, the breloom with spore fucked mence badly lol, looks like sacrificing it paid off nicely.

Wow amazing. What I'm really interested in is that you both used Skarmory. He's basically died on these forums because Close Combat Heracross 2HKO's it. Jibaku has Salamence to help with Heracross, but it seems Seph's only Cross counter was Skarmory.

Can you two elaborate on the effectiveness of Skarmory on Wi-Fi?

Lol MPV of this match-MAGNAZONEEEE

I might get me one now lol, the breloom with spore fucked mence badly lol, looks like sacrificing it paid off nicely.
MVP stands for Most Valuable Pokémon, but MPV stands for... I dunno =/.

And yeah, I was gonna say that =D, that UFO kicked everyone's ass. Great match.

This was a damned good read and MPV stands for Magnezone pwned viciously. But I find it odd that Magnezone isn't on more teams after reading this

lol edited it =(

I was in a hurry and had to say MVP lol, cause magnezone really kicked ass=D

EDIT: I don't think many people are putting Magnezone in their RMTs because of the lack of Skarmory posted here lately.

Magnezone is probably not showing it's face much because of Beautiful Skin (or whatever it's name got changed too). What's the point in trapping Steels if they can get away by holding a certain item?

And I'd also like to hear about the wonder of Skarmory in D/P =0

that battle was hot! seph got lucky with the freeze other wise it woulda been a draw
I was going to keep on using ice beam until cressy froze. It was bound to happen eventually. I'd say I got lucky where he didn't defrost, rather than freezing him.

Most people have no experience wifi battling. I've been wifi battling since september. A lot of people have yet to see the sheer brute force behind magenzone and a few other pokemon people around here don't talk about. I think a lot more people will start using magnezone after this, but who knows. Most of the rmt's I see here are pretty bad or just are:
"Hey everybody, I have 6 standard pokemon, a gyarados weakness, and have no idea what the definition of a counter is!"

Magnezone is probably not showing it's face much because of Beautiful Skin (or whatever it's name got changed too).
No, it's not. I have faced over 50 skarmorys on wifi I'd say and none have used beautiful skin. It's just a waste on him. I mean would you use it in adv? Probably not. Ever had your skarmory knock off'd by a donphan? Skarmory becomes so much easier to take out. That's basically what beautiful skin does, it makes skarmory far worse. Normally, skarmory gains 1/4-1/2 of it's max HP because of lefties alone. You lose so much walling power without lefties. I'd rather not go any further, but basically, skarmory needs lefties.

That was a fun read.

I especially enjoyed the fact the you both have fairly defensive teams(Jibaku especially) and that still couldn't have taken longer than about five minutes. But more to the point I enjoy reading posts by those of you who have been doing this for a while.

Additionally, predicting Magnezone will appear on RMTs dramatically more for the next 10 days or so because of this post, haha.

Why didn't Jibaku Whirlwind the Magnezone? Breloom wouldn't really be a threat, considering he had Skarmory and Hera.

It's also more likely that I will tbolt instead of using sub since a lot of magenzones don't use sub. In most cases, whirlwinding would have meant death without getting any spikes down. I would have down the exact same thing if I was in his position.
