Battle Stadium I started playing Singles Regulation E - Using the Pokemon Banned in Gen 9 OU.

I was good at early Gen 9 and found that there were many ways to play Hyper-Offense. Today, all of my favorites, like Volcarona, have been banned. I know they are banned for good reason, but it has made me want to try a different Singles format out.

(Annihilape) (F) @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Defiant
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 HP / 52 Atk / 44 Def / 116 SpD / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bulk Up
- Rage Fist
- Drain Punch
- Rest

I remembered to replace this slot with Annihilape once I remembered it can't be banned in this format. The fourth slot and item are here in consideration of Toxapex's Toxic. I wanted to be able to shake it off. However, I don't think it will actually accomplish much as I can be Hazed.

Ban (Chien-Pao) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Sword of Ruin
Level: 50
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Shard
- Sucker Punch
- Icicle Crash
- Sacred Sword

If I'm not sure what to lead with, I can go with this. Focus Sash on your lead-off is not a novel concept in any 3v3 format. Ice Shard is here just for opposing Chien-Pao if they are also Sashed. Unsurprisingly I'm walled by Toxapex. Should Icicle Crash be used in this format, or should I replace it with Icicle Spear?

(Flutter Mane) @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Level: 50
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 4 HP / 4 Def / 244 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draining Kiss
- Shadow Ball
- Psyshock
- Energy Ball

Fast! Energy Ball is here for Ogerpon. I'm not sure what tera type to use, based on my chosen 6. Psyshock is for Clodsire. It doesn't do more than 50% to some Clodsire, but Clodsire's Recover only has a few PP so I suppose it works. This doesn't help me with Toxapex.

(Dragonite) (F) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Multiscale
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 100 HP / 148 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Dragon Dance
- Scale Shot
- Earthquake

Why do people use Stomping Tantrum in this format? Earthquake has better odds to KO Hisuian Goodra. EVs cut some attack for bulk because Dnite is already good at one-shooting everything around it. Attack is already its highest stat. I thought it would be helpful for surviving attacks post-Tera. Scale Shot is not intended as a 100% accurate move -- it isn't. I only use it in consideration of threats that are fast.

ugh (Urshifu-Rapid-Strike) @ Choice Band
Ability: Unseen Fist
Level: 50
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 76 HP / 156 Atk / 4 Def / 20 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Trailblaze
- Surging Strikes
- Aqua Jet
- Close Combat

Gets Walled by Toxapex pretty hard, but can survive almost anything from past threats and KO in return. Simple-minded idea.

Tag Force (Corviknight) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Pressure
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 132 Def / 4 SpA / 100 SpD / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Body Press
- Iron Defense
- Roost
- Agility

Speed outruns Base 110 after 1 Agility, which is Ogerpon. Body Press sweep doesn't work if the opponent has a Ghost, but that means they actually have to bring the Ghost-type or Tera into it. Should this be Power Trip? Or should the rest of my team be more efficient at eliminating Ghosts?

Just gonna tell you that double priority moves on Chien pao is kinda a waste of moves, you could replace one of them with sd or crunch. Tera fairy is pretty great on flutter mane if you want power. (or maybe tera psychic?)
I am not amazing at explaining these teams but that corviknight set tells me something is wrong.

Yeah, the Corv is a fresh take on a mon w/ very established sets(really Iron Head or Defense, rest is fixed,) but that's not a good thing for them.

I'd run less Spe on DNite. It boosts spe 2 ways and has Espeed. 252, even w/o jolly, seems excessive.

Oh, and more description on urshifu, it's the rules. Go into stuff like why it's here, how it does, trailblaze's reasoning, and maybe also the EVs.
