Swords Dance boosts Gliscor's passable Attack to dangerous levels, allowing it to function as a bulky sweeper. Roost helps keep Gliscor healthy so it can sponge attacks such as Scald from Toxapex, Hidden Power Ice from Landorus-T, Magma Storm from Heatran, and Moonblast from Clefable. Earthquake serves as reliable STAB attack for Gliscor, blowing through Heatran and Toxapex. Facade and Ice Fang are both solid coverage options. The former has a whopping 140 Base Power thanks to Toxic Orb and hits common Pokemon such as Mega Latios, Tornadus-T, Tapu Bulu, Tangrowth, Zapdos, Mega Pinsir, and Mega Latias hard. Ice Fang is marginally weaker against all of the above, but it is Gliscor's strongest option against Landorus-T, Zygarde, and opposing Gliscor. However, Ice Fang is incredibly weak when not super effective; this means that Gliscor sometimes lacks a good mid-ground play against targets such as Clefable and leaves it totally unable to hit Rotom-W. Facade also has 32 PP, which is another huge advantage. Knock Off is a final option; while it is generally weaker against the likes of Tornadus-T and Mega Pinsir, its ability to remove Leftovers helps Gliscor pose a threat without a Swords Dance boost, crippling Pokemon that rely on Leftovers such as Celesteela and Ferrothorn.

Set Details

Toxic Orb in conjunction with Poison Heal lets Gliscor restore 12.5% of its HP every turn and grants it an immunity to other types of status, giving it incredible longevity throughout the course of the game. 244 HP EVs give Gliscor a Poison Heal number, which lets it recover more HP. 152 Speed EVs with a Jolly nature allow Gliscor to outspeed Adamant Zygarde and Timid Heatran, which means that it can use Roost first against both. The remaining EVs are placed in Special Defense to help Gliscor sponge special attacks such as Magma Storm from Heatran and boosted Moonblast from Clefable better.

Usage Tips
========

Use Gliscor liberally early-game as a defensive check to Toxapex, Clefable, and Leftovers Heatran, as it has the staying power to easily outlast them. Be careful when activating Gliscor's Toxic Orb; try not to recklessly switch it into Scald from Toxapex, stray Knock Offs, or a potential Lava Plume from Heatran. If Gliscor is burned or hit by Knock Off before Toxic Orb is activated, you will be at a significant disadvantage for the rest of the game. Note that the Magma Storm trapping damage occurs before the recovery from Poison Heal, meaning that if Magma Storm brings Gliscor below 12.5% HP, it will faint; thus, Gliscor should try to use Roost whenever it switches in on a Magma Storm from a non-Z-Crystal Heatran.

Team Options
========

Swords Dance Gliscor is best used on entry hazard-stacking balance teams, where it can take advantage of Stealth Rock and Spikes. Stealth Rock Clefable is a phenomenal partner due to its excellent synergy and a shared resilience to hazards. Greninja and Ferrothorn are both great Spikes users. Gliscor's most common offensive check is Ash-Greninja; be sure to have a strong switch-in like Toxapex or Ferrothorn. Kartana is also quite a thorn, especially with Swords Dance; Choice Scarf Magnezone traps this, as well as Mega Scizor and Celesteela. The former is not 2HKOed by +2 Earthquake and can thus stall a Gliscor sweep by taking advantage of its slow U-turn to bring in hard hitters, and the latter can be a nuisance between Leech Seed and Heavy Slam draining Roost's PP.

overall looks great

in moves i'd like if knock had a brief mention - admittedly it hits less than facade/fang but the ability to knock mons like celes is amazing, and gives it more immediate pressure before a dance (think vs clef or ferro). knock means mons get scared out before you boost sometimes

team options in addition to scizor kart id mention celes trapping on zone's part

Nitpick but 244 HP is a completely useless benchmark unless you’re running sub, you’d be better off running 252.

It’s the most efficient option when investing in 3+ stats on a Poison Heal user as it heals the same amount of HP with both 244 and 252 (i.e. to invest in a third stat it is most efficient to move EVs out of HP until you hit the Poison Heal number before removing points from other stats)
