Set Description

Ah yes Genesect. A Pokémon known for being a top tier mon in the 1v1 meta game most noticeable for it’s coverage for a lot of Pokémon. It’s download ability lets it raise its physical attack or special attack based on the opponent’s weaker defense. It only really has one weakness too. Bug Buzz for STAB and a great way to bypass substitute. One of the of elemental beam moves or STAB flash cannon to deal with variety types of Pokémon. Flamethrower for steel types, ice beam for dragon and ground types, flash cannon for STAB and for rock types, thunderbolt for water types. Extreme Speed for priority over your opponents and most noticeably for custap users. Gunk Shot for fairy types with good special bulk like Prim, Sylv, Fini and Azu.

The 4 attack is to have extra power in gunk shot and espeed. The plus 252 SpA is to hopefully deal with Necrozma that aren’t running max special bull and for strong coverage on its special moves. Max speed for it to be fast and to outspeed Pokémon.
Usage Tips
=============
Very straightforward. Bug buzz for sub stallers and extreme speed for custap users. But for it to deal with sturdy mons such as Zone or Lugg that run mirror coat, Extreme Speed first then do the special move. For Avalugg, it’ll die to almost any special move but as for Magnezone, to deal with it, it’s recommended to use flamethrower if you’re running it to beat it. If it’s custap zone, Espeed, Flamethrower, Espeed again.

You could also run Occa Berry. Unfortunately it still doesn’t beat normal fire type Pokémon but a lot of Pokémon run fire type moves specifically for Genesect coverage.
