yeah those look good enough, let me steal themPaulluxx said:Stunfisk-Galar: G-Luke, Tapler, Samtendo
Runerigus: G-Luke, Ema Skye, Speny
Mr. Rime: Ema Skye, Samtendo, G-Luke
Pokémon Name: Stunfisk-Galar
Role: Trapper, Terrain Abuser
Stat Changes (If Any): 109/101/109/66/84/52 (+20 Attack, +10 Defense, +20 Speed)
Original Stunfisk Stat Changes: 109/66/84/101/109/52 (+20 Special Attack, +10 Special Defense, +20 Speed)
Ability Changes (If Any): +Strong Jaw, +Unnerve
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Ice Fang, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Psychic Fang
Snap Trap Change: Become Steel-type. 40 BP. Matches the type of the terrain, such as Grass on Grassy Terrain, Psychic on Psychic Terrain, Electric on Electric Terrain and Fairy on Misty Terrain, and doubles Power if any of these terrains is active.
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?: Simply capitalizing on its signature move, Snap Trap, be it through Mimicry or Strong Jaw, more likely the latter due to Psychic Fang coverage against Fighting-type and an effective 150 BP on a terrain for Snap Trap.
Pokémon Name: Runerigus
Role: Physical Wall
Stat Changes (If Any): 58/110/155/50/115/30 (+15 Attack, +10 Defense, +10 Special Defense)
Ability Changes (If Any): N/A
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Pain Split, +Toxic, +Encore, +Moonlight
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?: It's typing is not common in the metagame, and thanks to its unique tools like Will O Wisp and a strong secondary option in Poltergeist, it carves a niche as a formidable Bulky Ground.
Pokemon Name: Mr. Rime
Role: Team Support, Spinning, Pivot
Stat Changes (If Any): 80/75/85/110/100/70 (+10 Def, -10 Atk)
Ability Changes (If Any): -Tangled Feet, +Refrigerate
Movepool Changes (If Any): Teleport, Heal Bell, Hyper Voice
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?: Rime already has a cool utility movepool, but it's, strangly, geared toward an offensive role with it removing screens. -ate Spinning is unique, letting it spin against everything. Future Sight+Teleport also lets it support offensive allies after it removes hazards. The final move could be TWave/Toxic for status, Encore to force a switch, Taunt to break stall, Heal Bell to remove status or even Healing Wish if it's job is done. Hyper Voice also gives it strong Ice STAB if it wants an attack for a final move.
Two for one special: 2x boost with trapping damage. I do believe that's what's necessary to justify using MimicryNo submission ideas right now, but I wanna make a small but important change to Snap Trap.
The original effect has a trapping effect, so would it be bad to add it back in exchange of boosted damage only doing 1.5x as normal? Otherwise Galar-Stunfisk wouldn’t use it over other Fang moves.
A little iffy about some of these. Making Infernape and Lumineon's concepts centered around abilities they dont have in standard strikes me as an odd choice. I'm actually ok with Berserk on Infernape flavorwise, but Lumineon with Regenerator seems too unflavorful unless you can point to something in the dex. Same goes for Empoleon with Lightningrod. Also you accidentally made the same post twice, just figured I'd let ya knowPokémon Name: Lickilicky
Role: Fat Special Attacker/Fat Anti-weather
Stat Changes (If Any): 130(+20)/60(-25)/110(+15)/105(+25)/95/35 (-15) (530)
Ability Changes (If Any): +Thick Fat/Dry Skin (Cloud Nine)
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Hyper Voice, Calm Mind, Earth Power
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?: Most Special Attackers aren't as fat as Licki. Its slow and its typing doesn't lend to sweeping too well, but it can take a few hits. Dry Skin lets you stay more durable and Thick Fat lets you laugh at Fire and Ice better, and Cloud Nine lets you shut down scary weather like Veil/Arcto teams. Coverage can be almost anything you want but its still slow and cannot heal beyond Dry Skin and either Wish Support or Leftovers so chipping it away is not an unreliable idea especially because it's so slow.
Its closest relation is likely Blissey but this thing is heavy enough to take almost full Low Kick damage and Bliss can use hazards and recovery.
Pokémon Name: Lumineon
Role: Fast Water type Defog/U-Turn pivot with Regenerator
Stat Changes (If Any): 89 (+20)/69/76/89(+20)/86/101(+10) (510)
Ability Changes (If Any): +Swift Swim/Storm Drain (Regenerator)
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Thunder Wave, Power Gem, Moon Blast
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?: In and of itself, Lumineon is the only mon with U-Turn, Defog, Scald Combo. Fini comes close with Water Absorb eatable Flip Turn, but Lumineon can heal itself with Regenerator! It doesn't really do much else, mind you, but compared to regen-fish Alomamola, it can Defog and pivot and unlike the Slows, it's not... well... slow for better or worse. Its stats are otherwise not top tier.
Pokémon Name: Empoleon
Role: Defensive Hazard Setter or Remover who takes advantage of Water/Steel typing
Stat Changes (If Any): +10 HP, -10 Atk
Ability Changes (If Any): Torrent (Lightningrod)
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Roost, Spikes, Flip Turn
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?: Typing alone, still unshared with anything else, is niche enough as it resists Water, Poison, Dragon, Flying, Rock, Fairy, Ice and Electric. There are mons out there who'd KILL for all those resists simultaneously. And with Roost and Lightningrod, it can really come in and either hit hard or either set up or remove hazards.
Pokémon Name: Infernape
Role: Berserk abuser.
Stat Changes (If Any):
Ability Changes (If Any): Blaze (Berserk)
Movepool Changes (If Any):
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?: Infernape is likely gonna get pulverized, after which it will have no trouble going insane and doing massive damage. But to facilitate this, you might need either Focus Sash or defensive investment if you dare to set up through Slack Off (highly not recommended).
Shadow Sneak and Will-O-Wisp are too much of a stretch for my tastes. In conjunction with Fur Coat, this outclasses Kantonian Persian too much imo. Remove the former two moves and cut down either attack or defensePokemon Name: Purugly
Role: Pivot
Stat Changes (If Any): 101(+30)/92(+10)/64/64/59/112 (492 BST)
Ability Changes (If Any): Fur Coat/Serene Grace/Defiant
Movepool Changes (If Any): Encore, Slack Off, Trick, Shadow Sneak, Thunder Wave, Wil-O-Wisp
I will argue that Empoleon's crown is quite the lightningrod. Lumineon I'm not as willing to defend as now that I think on it, it's a weaker Pelliper in every way and very hard to salvage but regen is pretty much because Angelfish irl are known to regenerate lacerated or even severed fins.A little iffy about some of these.
I get that you're a big Quag fan, but he absolutely does not need a buff in any capacity. With Dynamax running around he's already got a rock-solid niche, and these stats strike me as major overkill for an Unaware mon with only one weakness. Do another mon that could use a boost more.
Pokemon Name:Quagsire
Role:Unaware Wall that takes advantage of its good defensive typing to do damage in a variety of ways
Stat Changes (If Any):105(+10)/100(+15)/105(+20)/70(+5)/65/35(BST:480)
Ability Changes (If Any):Nada
Movepool Changes (If Any):+Spikes
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?:Unaware and some actual offensive power set Quagsire apart from other slow defensive Mons(cough cough Toxapex cough cough).Quagsire can take advantage of its typing that only has 1 weakness to come in multiple times per game and rack up damage on the opponent through Toxic,Spikes,or Earthquake and Scald. It's not without flaws, however,as it has very low speed and mediocre special bulk which can be easily abused.
Hmm... Still vetoing Lightning Rod penguin, but I'll allow Regenerator on Lumineon.I will argue that Empoleon's crown is quite the lightningrod. Lumineon I'm not as willing to defend as now that I think on it, it's a weaker Pelliper in every way and very hard to salvage but regen is pretty much because Angelfish irl are known to regenerate lacerated or even severed fins.
Changed to Gardevoir and GalladeI get that you're a big Quag fan, but he absolutely does not need a buff in any capacity. With Dynamax running around he's already got a rock-solid niche, and these stats strike me as major overkill for an Unaware mon with only one weakness. Do another mon that could use a boost more.
I think Gardevoir should use a different ability. We already gave Meowstic Psychic Surge, and in this case I feel it steps too much on the toes of male Indeedee.
Pokemon Name:Gardevoir & Gallade
Role:
Gardevoir:Calm Mind Sweeper,Scarf User
Gallade:Swords Dance Wallbreaker
Stat Changes (If Any):
Gardevoir:78(+10)/65/65/115(-10)/115/90(+10)BST:528
Gallade:78(+10)/115(-10)/85(+20)/65/105(-10)/80BST:528
Ability Changes (If Any):
Gardevoir:Psychic Surge replaces Telepathy as HA
Gallade:Gets Guts as a second regular ability
Movepool Changes (If Any):
Gardevoir:Nada
Gallade:+Sacred Sword
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?:WIP
Pokemon Name: Vaporeon
Role: Defensive pivot with Wishpassing
Stat Changes (If Any): 130 / 60 / 95 / 110 / 65 / 65
Ability Changes (If Any): +Regenerator
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Recover
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?: Wish+Flip Turn is already pretty cool and this really just makes it more consistent in this role.
Pokemon Name: Jolteon
Role: fast Electric breaker
Stat Changes (If Any): 65 / 95 / 60 / 110 / 65 / 130
Ability Changes (If Any): +Galvanize
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Spikes
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?: Fast Electric is a highly competitive role, but access to Spikes and Galvanize Hyper Voice makes it a pretty cool breaker. Mixed sets could use Pin Missile to cover Grasses but you're probably better off Volt Switching.
Pokemon Name: Flareon
Role: defensive Fire-type
Stat Changes (If Any): unchanged
Ability Changes (If Any): +Fur Coat
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Knock Off
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?: Very bulky mon that has enough tools to be viable in this role, with Knock Off, Mystical Fire and Wish to increase its sustain.
Pokemon Name: Espeon
Role: fast Psychic breaker
Stat Changes (If Any): unchanged
Ability Changes (If Any): unchanged
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Mystical Fire
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?: Now it finally has Steel coverage! Mystical Fire also makes Calm Mind sets interesting providing it another way to augment its special bulk.
Pokemon Name: Umbreon
Role: Dark-type tank
Stat Changes (If Any): unchanged
Ability Changes (If Any): +Corrosion
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Roar, +Haze
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?: Umbreon really can't touch Steels, but now it can. Roar/Haze also protects it from being set up fodder; just pick the one that you like more.
Pokemon Name: Leafeon
Role: physical Grass attacker that is further boosted in sun
Stat Changes (If Any): unchanged
Ability Changes (If Any): unchanged
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Close Combat, +Shadow Claw, +Grav Apple
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?: Fighting/Ghost coverage isn't bad, especially with SD. Grav Apple punishes switches with a defense drop.
Pokemon Name: Glaceon
Role: Mixed Technician breaker
Stat Changes (If Any): 60 / 95 / 65 / 130 / 65 / 110
Ability Changes (If Any): +Technician
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Frost Breath, +Mud Shot, +Bulldoze, +Rock Blast, +Swords Dance, +Calm Mind
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?: Technician has options on both sides: Frost Breath always crits, and Mud Shot gets a boost as well, though you don't get much after that. Physical sets are interesting due to Tech Triple Axel and Rock Blast hitting quite hard, with Bulldoze to accompany both.
Pokemon Name: Sylveon
Role: defensive utility mon
Stat Changes (If Any): unchanged
Ability Changes (If Any): +Aroma Veil
Movepool Changes (If Any): +Roost
What sets this Pokemon apart from ones with similar roles?: Offensive sets appreciate Roost for longevity as Sylveon already has good coverage. Defensive sets still pack utility through Wish and Heal Bell while now having a Taunt immunity.
Would Adaptability be fine on it?I think Gardevoir should use a different ability. We already gave Meowstic Psychic Surge, and in this case I feel it steps too much on the toes of male Indeedee.
Yeah sure you can go with that, we don't got any Psychics or Fairies with itWould Adaptability be fine on it?
